How to enable cutscene exclusive graphics effects in gameplay
By Smooth_Merc
As you may know, Devil May Cry 5 has some graphical effects that only work exclusively in cutscene's. This guide will show you how to activate these graphical effects in-game as well. Currently it is not know how to enable them all, but as it becomes known, I will update this guide.

Those cutscene exclusive effects are:-
1.Contact Shadows
2.Screen-Space Reflections
3.Subsurface Scattering
4.Motion Blur possibly? (In my testing, I did not notice any motion blur but another user did have it.)
5.Depth Of Field

Contact Shadows
1.Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\.
2.Open dmc5config.ini.
3.Change ContactShadowSetting=CUSTOM to ContactShadowSetting=ON.
4.Save your changes.

Advice: Don't enable contact shadows due to the way it is configured(Likely to only look good in cut-scenes). When I used it, it caused many surfaces to either become black or flicker when you move the camera.

motion blur being labelled variable in settings is because it adjusts the intensity of motion blur for different actions.

@lo.st for anyone wondering I just checked and changing SSRSetting=CUSTOM to ON doesn't actually enable SSR ingame.

That screenshot below isn't motion blur. That's just blur and distortion effects from Dante's attacks.

Motion Blur isn't cutscene exclusive, but it is subtle on higher graphic settings and framerates. Here's from my game at maxed graphics: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/215113070677065729/664987585281523723/SPOILER_601150_20200109191544_1.png

I think SSR is broken in the RE Engine, even Resident Evil 2 remake has a very noticeable grainy looking SSR. I'll test it too to see if I can spot a difference too.

Also, they misspelled Depth of Field. DepthOfFiledEnable=true

In the dmc5config file, I found two lines that might be for Screen-Space Reflections and Subsurface Scattering.

SSRSetting=CUSTOM
SSSSSetting=CUSTOM

Top one seems like it'd be Screen-Space Reflections. Not sure about the bottom, the Contact Shadows and SSR are the only other settings set to custom. I'm gonna set them to on, but I'm not great at spotting the difference. I'll let you know if I see anything, though. :DMCDante:

What frame-rate are you playing at? When I tested this, I did the opening level and I was playing at around 120 fps. I didn't notice it there. Maybe it'd level specific or I couldn't notice it. i'll update the guide about it.
