Morrowind and Oblivion Soundtracks for Skyrim

Descrição
***DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SOUNDTRACKS, ONLY THE FILE SO SKYRIM CAN ACCEPT THEM***
***DOES NOT REQUIRE DRAGONBORN DLC***
***DOES, HOWEVER, REQUIRE A COPY OF OBLIVION, MORROWIND, OR BOTH***

Ever wanted to have the soundtracks of three Elder Scrolls games, all packed into one? Well, now you can! With a little work, of course. This mod does NOT replace the vanilla Skyrim music. Oblivion's soundtrack is more likely to start playing in the forested, western parts of Skyrim and Morrowind's plays more often in the swampy, eastern parts. Skyrim's music plays regularly throughout.

To install the mod, you must first have at least one of the two games. This keeps the mod away from copyright infringement, which I do not wish to do. After you click subscribe, go to your respective Oblivion or Morrowind folder. For this example, I'll use Oblivion's:

OS(C:)/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Oblivion/Data/Music

There, you'll find the entire soundtrack of the game. Next, copy all of those .mp3 files to a folder anywhere on your computer (the FILES, not the subfolders) and convert them into .wav format. A tool I used to make it was http://format-factory.en.softonic.com/ --- Format Factory. It's a free download, don't worry, and it'll convert the .mp3 files into .wav. Be careful while downloading this as, with all free software sites, some misclicks can also install some unnecessary programs. Read all of the options carefully and click 'Decline' or uncheck boxes where it doesn't pertain to the program at hand or Terms of Service. You might be able to use other converters, but I can't be too sure. Apologies for the trouble! Anyways, once the .mp3 files are .wav's, open up your Skyrim data folder, marked here:
OS (C:)/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/Data
and make a new folder there titled 'Music'. Then, drag the .wav files over to the newly-created music folder. Congratulations, you now have the heartwarming beauty of the Elder Scrolls III and IV in the cold landscape of Skyrim!

**One important note: The music files HAVE to be the ones from the game folder, and their file names have to stay the same; ex. atmosphere_1
Because of this, if you bought the soundtrack on iTunes or something else, they won't work. Sorry. :/

Again, this mod DOES NOT include the soundtracks for the games.

If you don't have one of the games, don't want to hear a specific song, or anything of that sort, simply don't add the files into the music folder. The mod will work even if you just add one song!

Long live the Empire!

**All of the credit goes to adidertulpendieb on the Skyrim Nexus, all I did was upload it to the Workshop.

I do not own the Elder Scrolls franchise. All credit goes to Bethesda Softworks, Zenimax, and Jeremy Soule.

Yeah sorry about that :/ I've seen several other mods containing copyrighted music get taken down so I'd rather not take any risks.

And yeah! I remember hearing the battle music every now and then.

Another quick question... Will battle themes from oblivion play as well?

Okay thanks, I just really wish this could all be a simple NMM or workshop subscription. But copyright and stuff, I understand, at least you're extremely helpful about it.

@Meddle As long as you keep the file names for the songs the same ("atmosphere_1" etc) and put them in a "Music" folder in Skyrim's data folder, you should be good to go. And yeah, typically Oblivion's music will play more often in the southern regions of Skyrim (closer to Cyrodiil) but they can play anywhere. It's all random!

I converted it with audacity and I didn't put them in subfolders such 'dugeons' I hear the skyrim ost, will it play the oblivion ost randomly? I kept them as the original names too...
