But apart from this, I need to say that Zowie Comrade's design is the most appealing of all the conventional bungees I've seen so far. But 25$ for a plastic static device is something I can't afford. At least, if this one falls from the desk, I'd rather be worried for the floor tiles, not for the bungee!

I was looking for a Zowie Comrade a few months ago. But then I realised that it would have meant spending 25$ for a weighted plastic piece, mostly. So, here's my response: this one is the kind of thing you buy to prevent your door from slamming. It's about 1kg, costs 6$ in any hardware store and is pretty damn efficient and sturdy. Same usage, way less expensive, no crappy RGB stuff, made of steel with rubber feet. I love this aesthetic, I like its price, it actually does respect my cable thanks to the rubber base, and as a bonus, if I'm home invaded, I've got a lethal weapon right under my claw reach. The best deal possible IMHO.

Have you tried a mouse bungee like Zowie Camade? It works great.
