Missing DLC? Challenge mode? Read this.

If you get into the game and realize that you're missing DLC (most obviously the Challenge Mode in Arcade), then this quick guide can help you redeem that issue.

Obviously, this is assuming you own at least one DLC that isn't working, and probably own the Rockstar Pass.

Intro

This is just to help anyone who has checked in Arcade and seen that they are missing Challenge mode because they don't own the DLC, despite owning the Rockstar Pass.

Or, maybe you're missing some other bit of DLC that you know you own. This will help you out too.

The Setup

All you need to set up this process is to open up your CD key page in Steam.


Now you'll need to do this for every DLC, so click the first item, excluding Max Payne 3, in your list of CD keys and copy to keyboard (in the example, it's the Classic Character DLC).

The Process

Now open up Max Payne and go to the Store page.


Then click "Redeem code" in the bottom right, or press "Y" on your keyboard.


Now paste your CD key into the window that pops up.


And repeat this for every CD key in the list (alt-tab, you don't need to quit and restart the game), again excluding Max Payne 3 because it will count as "already redeemed."

After that process, restart your game. The game will check your activation during startup.

The Payoff

Now the Challenge Mode (or whatever DLC that wasn't working for you) should be accessible.
