~ The Official Guide to Manually Block the SnD Dedicated Servers ~

In this guide I intend to show you step by step how to block the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Search and Destroy Dedicated Lobby IP addresses in the Windows Firewall.

Firewall Block Steps

Step 1.)
-Locate your Firewall's "Advanced Settings"

If prompted for User Account Control, click Yes.

Step 2.)
-Select Inbound Rules and create a New Rule.

-Select Custom Rule.

Step 4.)
-Click Next until you reach Scope and select These IP Addresses then click Add.

Step 5.)
-Set the IP address as: 45.121.209.0/24

(103.231.88.0/24): Old IPs to block, probably useless info now.

Step 6.)
-Select Block Connection.

Step 7.)
-Click Next to Name the new rule something relative to the function.

Step 8.)
-Repeat Steps 1-7 with a new Outbound Rule.

Step 9.)
-Check the next time you're on CoD:MW2 SnD and see if it worked for you! (It might block all Dedicated Servers, I just don't remember.)

I only know of the one IP with a set range, so what's in the guide is current to my knowledge, but it has changed since I originally wrote this up. I'm not keeping up to date with MW2 as of late as the game is most assuredly dead at this point. I've not played SnD in over 2 years now and it's depressing.

Actually scratch what I said, apparently blocking 103.231.88.0/24 puts you only on lobbies with hackers, also I did do Alt + Esc and that didn't work either.

"Alt + Esc" tabs you out of MW2, There are no official servers, that's what the dedis are. Modders typically reside in the populated playlists, TDM and DOM. Sadly, I long to play SnD and not bull shit modded lobbies just to play Favela.

I followed this guide, and it defiantly worked.

Just know that once you do this, you are at the mercy of what the fragile official servers can give you, and from what I've seen It's just hacker hell.

I now understand why dedicated servers are popular, to avoid this crap from happening.

One name I do know is "asdf", I had to restart my computer just to leave the game.
Another had "shart" in the name, they were god modding.
Another person had "Sister" in their name and they had a chat bot, they were teleporting on top of players. Again I had to restart my computer just to leave.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from doing this, that's their decision, but I'm putting this out there as a warning.

The Dedi server IP changed, new range to block: 45.121.209.0/24
Most of the servers here are using that IP now (you can verify by visiting dedigamer.com and joining each server)

ok I have to then manually block every server`s IP I join? if I have to do so how do I get it`s IP?
