Okay First Things First, Weapons and it's uses
Okay everything you need to know to start playing "casually" is: What do I do in the middle of the battle?
Kay... Simply get you microgun and start shooting everyone... Sorry for the bad joke, actually no don't get the microgun (If you want to be called a noob), there are seven different weapons, I'm not going to say that you ARE going to use all seven, but in few moments you'll have to use the right weapon for the right moment. For example the melee, personaly I use when I'm really really close to the enemy or wavesteping near them (I'm going to explain that later don't worry), basicly don't run with the melee towards the enemy, if you want to ruin someones gameplay think about flaking them, otherwise your gameplay will be ruined.
Alright next weapon: Rifle, it's basic a rifle (Oh you are kidding sherlock) I use these types of weapon to pick enemies of distance, or give an extra damage on them, starters usually walks with this weapon at hand, which is annoyning if they have a good aim, but you can take them off easily (Explain all that later).
Next weapon: Shotgun, all persons knows this weapon, easy to use, and powerfull, however, you need to know when to use correctly, I died in many situations, that I pick my shotgun in the wrong moment, getting myself killed, it's powerfull in close range, but is really really weak in longer ranges.
Next weapon: Sniper Rifle, the most powerfull weapon in the game (Personaly it's the weapon I like most... After the melee) if you are used to first-person shooters you'll be good with this weapon, if not... Well you can practice in this site that is really useful http://www.k2xl.com/games/reaction/shoot/ , back to the guide, just a quick tip here (You don't need to follow it, of course) do not even think about camping, you ask me why? Here three motives that WILL get you killed if you camp: First: Campers are easily spotted by other players. Second: There are NO camping spots that you can't be flanked. Third: That will get you killed, because people WILL know where you are so, if they know the map well... Basicly you are screwed.
Next weapon: Microgun, No harm with this weapon but, personaly I think is useless for serius gameplay, the only place that you (Don't really need to use, but if you use it helps) in zombie mode, because the amount of health of the zombie.
Next weapon: Bazooka, my favourite weapon, if people are camping in a corner, just shot one rocket and you will know if they are actually there, usefull to knock people's aim off, and chain combos with the shotgun and other weapons.
Next weapon: Grenade Launcher, really usefull weapon in certain situations, as same as the bazooka you can knock people's aim off, but with something else into this weapon is... It bounces off surfaces, you can use to flank campers.
Let's get deeper in the game (Wavesteping, Swaping, Quickscoping, Ninja-Swaping, DragShooting, With The Best Player)
So we all know that, weapons are selected with the current buttons 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7. Everyone uses that by default, but let's make a little bit different this time, if you are insterested in swaping and wavesteping watch this video made by: YukiNagato or better know as Yukister now
If you saw the video (Am I dumb or something? Of course you will watch... Right?) Well basicly he teaches you how do all these wavesteping stuff plus the swaping ninja swaping and swaping, but I'm going to teach you a different thing: Quickscoping and Dragshoting. You maybe will ask, WHAT IS THAT? Okay, okay calm down it's easy. Quickscoping: You pick your sniper at any range and shot someone (Scopped-in), sometimes it's one hit kill with the Sea-Eagle or sometimes not with the default sniper rifle (Explain Later on). DragShoting : Basicly is another version of quickscoping but, you "Drag" your aim to your target, even if they are in your scope or not. All thanks to YukiNagato - Yukister (Microvolts Pro), Mirky (With the possitive help), and Bashiix3 (Microvolts Pro). Adding a little bit here: Main controls in the video:

Melee: L-Shift
Rifle: 3
Shotgun: E
Sniper RIfle: Q
Microgun (MG): 4
Rocket Launcher: R
Grenade Launcher: F
Personal Action: 2
Use Item: 1

Used By Me

Plant Bomb: Mouse 5
Drop Bomb: G
Weapons, What do I choose?
Starting with MP weapons:

Melee: Personaly I use what have the most run speed and (A little bit of power). Weapon of my choice: Red Pencil

Rifle: Something with a good accuracy so you can pick people off distance. Weapon of choice: Pepper

Shotgun: Fast and powerful, KW-79, good for wavesteping, and have a pretty good power. (Nothing against people who uses AC-ME Cannon But I just think it's way overpowered, and it's very slow, so resuming: Miss one shot + Against good player = Death) so try something faster. Weapon of my choice: KW-79

Sniper Rifle: Reload speed or Power (I would make a good use of reload speed, if you like to quickscope). Weapon of my choice: HUNTER7137S

Microgun or MG: I really don't know what to say about this one, but by the logic I would get one that is faster to warm-up. Weapon of my choice: DareDave

Rocket Launcher: Something with a fast firing speed, bullet speed (Projectile speed in the case), blast radious. Weapon of my choice: Pound

Grenade Launcher: Good firing speed and blast radious. Weapon of my choice: Pulse

Now with RT Weapons:

All Weapons above but Advanced Ones (ADVs)

Coupons Weapons:

(God Weapons)
Parts, And RT, MP, Discussion
Parts. Liking or not, they helps a lot. Some uses MP to buy others uses RT to buy

To the newbies: MP - MicroPoints (Points of the game)
RT - RockTokens (You pay real money for these points)

Now, what I would buy if I was starting a new character... A set that gives me more speed.
Why speed, if you can buy more health?
Now, now, in the game there are plenty of people out there that knows how to play, so they may use rockets and grenades, which has blast radious, and to avoid damage from that you just need to jump, yeah jump, jump twice to the opposite direction and you can avoid/take less damage from the shot, if you are slower you can't jump so far from the blast, and gives you more damage, and people would kill you easier.

To the MP and RT

I'm not going to lie, this game still unbalanced, if someone like, an Admin, or a developer of the game please, work on a balance progamm to the game. Example (It's not with the real status in the game): Default Sniper rifle: Only kills a full-health enemie with a headshot, MP Sniper Rifle: Kills an enemie with full-health with a bodyshot (Shots at the feet or legs doesn't Insta-Kill) RT Sniper RIfles: If you shot any part of the body it's one hit kill.

See the difference? Liking or not, you WILL be in disavantage in the game if you don't carry RT with you. But there are the Microvolts Pros, which they win not by the weapons, but with their own skill, like: Bashiix3, YukiNagato - Yukister, ForgottenAlice, and plenty others pros out there.

10/8/2013
Now, now, with the new update (Surge Update) they balanced everything (Not everything) but RT weapons do pretty balanced damage comparing to MP ones and also your gear (Parts, Clothes) are more balanced too
Editing Your Settings To The Best Performance
Here, let me give you a hand with this one, as everyone knows, the smother your game, your score will be greater, right? Technically yes... And no, why I say that? Well people like me (Who is typing this guide) have a really bad PC, and my game is not as smother as I wanted to it be, but, I already have experience in this game, so what my PC sucks on it, my skills pays on it. For example, my framerate is about... 10 - 27 per sec (Which sucks for me in the game). Usually Microvolts Pros uses the lowerest settings to the best performance (It's no rule), and they have TONS of experience onto the game so... Let's do a little math, Smother Gameplay + Tons of experience = Greater Score. You see the difference? Well if you are doubting yet I can prove to you.
So, not good reason yet? Okay I have more for you.
That fight is between YukiNagato and Hammy, (Microvolters Pros), and if you want to check their channels out, here is the link
Yuki's - http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8GgSo-g7igLUMgcpCNCvLw
Hammy's - http://www.youtube.com/user/hammy588
And don't get scared by these all gunfighting and stuff, these are the very start of your challenge against... Your own self (To not get killed).
Maps, Knowing Your Enemy, Positioning
Well, as we all know, backing is kinda coward, but at the same time, useful for some kind of situations, like, an elimination, you are the last player, and there are four people against you, what you do? Run into them and kill them all!!!... Actually, no, what you do is, pick one by one, don't try to take them all, (Unless you know that you will win), otherwise, if you know the main places and where to go to flank the enemy is going to be pretty good. However, knowing the enemy is important, where he would go, what he would do, for example: "I know that he is going to show around that corner, but he knows that I know that so I'm going to shoot the other way". That is my thinking while I'm in the fight. You can pick whatever skill you have from your style and put them here, into the battle. (Myself) I prefer to be fast, flank people and also be useful to the team, completing objectives, like in bomb battle, elimination, and clan matches (Or Clan Wars = Cw), although people are stragegic, like... Wait for the enemy come to you, or positioning well when they show up, stuff like that, Or... Be the tanking guy, who just rush into them and kill everyone, (Of Course usually I do that, but it's only in rare ocasions). (Later on I'm going to add screenshots to show where are the good places in some maps, I don't promise all of them, but stay tunned to the updates)
Sharping Up Your Skills
Well for this case you should watch some videos, (Montages, ChainKilling, etc...) So you can figure out how build your gamestyle. Like I said before, everyone has differents ways to play, (For myself I prefer to be just running around and flanking people). You just need to watch out for other players, what they will do, how would they do, when would they do. Pretending to be the enemy himself, and try to figure out, what their next movement sometimes is crucial, for a "Well" Ended match.

Oh! If you are looking to come on again and you're interested in being training partners, I wouldn't mind. Honestly being away for a year may be good because you can come back refreshed with your previous skills in mind and enough room for newer techniques. Also gives you thinking room for when you want to train :3

Up to you though~ I'm liking the dedication people have in this game and I think I can learn really good competitve mindsets on here.

OH Btw!! If you want any updates on the article related to newer MP weapons and features I can help =O there are a few outdated parts in your guide as well I think we could add some more points :3

BUT YEAH this has become a really long comment xD hope I didn't rant too much o3o (also forgive my spelling and grammar mistakes, been up since 5AM ;3;)

Well I've played hammy quite a bit o3o he's really good. I've also played this Black&Negi (I think that's their name) and they seem to be good. Just that I have found they don't seem to interested in my banter ;u; so I typically leave them alone lol

As well I've been practicing the basics amongst my friends, I seem to have swapping down a bit, I've also adjusted the controls my own way to help me get used to comfortable controls. Just that practicing wavestepping is very difficult when my mind tries to focus on the combat. Which I hate xD

Like you can't make a private room to practice wavestepping, so you're often trying to practice in matches, which in turn leaves me constantly thumbling my controls because I'm focusing on combat and wave stepping at the same time.

At the moment though I'm focusing more on knowing my weapons and how they play, I'm loving the Cyclops Sniper and how quick it is, as well as the Gold Autobow because of it's accuracy and speed.

Oh it's good to see someone really into this game, well look, I don't play this game anymore, so I can't say that I'm 100% sure of what I'm going to say, but back in the day, before the surge update, I met few people like Yukister (YukiNagato was his fist nick) and some others europian gamers, and I must say, some of them are willing to teach others.

So what's the point? You may be asking, well just keep playing the game, someday someone will notice you and hopefully will be someone good, good enough to teach you new tricks and strategies.

I wouldn't mind helping you, buuuuuuuuuuuuut... I'm really dusty you know, I guess it's been 1 year since I played the game.

No matter what keep trying, challenge players that are better than you, and don't forget, keep wavesteping.

I can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong. I play this with my normal mindset in play, with tactics. I play many FPS and TPS games but this game is very random with my outcome. At one moment I can be decent and then out of the blue I'm fluking up and down.

So frustrating to constantly learn whats up when it's something new all the time D=

If anyone still plays that happens to be quite experienced, I wouldn't mind a training partner. This is one of the few FPS games that have really shown me extreme competition and I think training with good players will help. Skype calls would be preferred because I like talking about what can be worked on in real time.

Thanks for the guide btw!

Ciao~! :8bitheart:

Myamoto  [author] Oct 7, 2013 @ 8:13am
Well you can either fix manually in the game files (Google it), or download the client again
Mr Foster Oct 7, 2013 @ 12:09am
Whenever I change a graphic option, my game crashes. How do I fix this? (You probably don't know how)
