1. Straw decay. Even in Haystacks the limit seems about 2 years.
2. Since you wrote this guide, you can now have plough. This can only be drawn by ox or horses. The plows make planting much faster opening up time to do other things.
3. A lot of buildings only give 1 point for the first and often 1 more for 3, then no more.
4. Also buy stone as soon as the traders offer it. Stone is one of the very few resources that dont' decay, flint is another one, and possible ores and charcoal. Stone is a finite resource, and you need it to build houses and fix your defense after raiders. Raiders do now not necessarily focus the gate, they are just as happy tearing down the wall right next to it.
Decent advice for sure all around, but a lot more conservatively than I personally play. Great tips for beginners.
Haven’t run out of dried fish in several game years since trying this.
Although there do seem to be good & bad years based on sledges & carts wearing out. My guys were not keeping up and I had a rough couple years recovering. The bottleneck was tanned hides! Those stay a critical-need tech resource throughout the tech tree! Needed to build many necessary things, including carts & sledges.
*edited: But now I’m seeing more die of starvation!?@$! Take a dried meat with you as you go to the far megalith! Loldoh.
Stupid AI always seems to drag the farthest megalith possible, Through Town, to the farthest site on my list. You just Know they’d plan better than that, y’all.
I can5 tell yet, does a plowed field produce more?
