Some Steam games don't have their achievements pop up until you close them. This is was one of them when it was released, but this has since been changed in a patch.

Also, if one player gets an achievement in co-op, everyone does.

And Gotta Get 'Em All is currently buggy and unobtainable. This used to also be true for Found All The Backers! and The Worst Possible Luck, but those have since been fixed.

standard achievements

A Timely Splash
Save yourself from burning up by jumping in water


Backer Visitor
Visit a backer character
- Easy enough; they generally appear on small islands just off the edge of the main bit of land on the level.


Boom Box Baby
Use The Boom Box 4 times in one game


Boom Box Wipeout
Pop 8 or more Earthlings who are dancing at a boombox


Can't Touch This
Beat normal or hard mode without dying


Cleaning Out Santa's Sack
Catch Santa 3 times in one game


Elf Chaser
Catch 5 elves in one game


Flying Present Catcher
Collect a locked present


Food Taster
Eat every type of food in one game


Fool Me Twice
Go for a ride in the Evil Elevator twice in one game


Found All The Backers!
Visit all backer characters


Gimme My Presents Back!
Pop a mole who has stolen one or more of your presents

- Use an item which allows you to teleport or travel across/above water, such as an Innertube or Icarus Wings, and head directly south of the starting island on level 1 to find another island with a hole in it. Fall through the hole to reach level 0 and get this achievement.

Open the Total Bummer twice in one game

Just a quick note for Gotta Get 'Em All:

As many have commented, you need to pop earthlings and bumping them off a level or into water doesn't count.

But it's also important that bumping a Stupid Cupid to the ground by touching them (using Spring Shoes or Hitops/Skates and jumping) pops them but this does NOT count them as being popped for the achievement. They must be popped by an attack (such as Tomato Rain) while in the air to count as popped.

To confirm one other note that's been mentioned in various places on the internet, ONLY the first forms of earthlings with multiple forms count and they are all that is needed. For instance you need to pop an Insane Dentist, and popping a Zombie Dentist does not count for that (or the achievement at all).

Yes, gotta catch em all is confirmed bugged. It is currently the only achievement you can't get. There was a bug also with the find all the backers and the worst luck ones, but those have been fixed in the latest patch (1.2.2). They also fixed the achiev only unlocking on game exit thing from what they say in the patch notes.

Achievements are pretty buggy right now, hopefully they resolve the issue. I've popped all the earthlings as well and nothing yet. It appears to be bugged for me too. Luckily, for us, it's not just a one-time achievement so more than likely when they fix it we can just do another run and get the achievement.

Is "Gotta Get'Em All" currently bugged? I've managed to pop every Earthling that marked as "bad" in game manual (except Internet Troll: in Teenager form he doesn't die from tomatoes, I've seen him "properly" popped only by Opera Singer) aaaaand no achievement...

Not normal in general, but it's normal for some specific games, and this is one of them.
