The Guide

This guide will contain everything you'll need to know about the game. Feel free to ask though if you are in doubt or have questions in the comments.

The game UI

Boss Health

You can on your right see a meter that shows how many "Lines of text" or stages the boss has in total and how many are left.

Book

You can't fight without your book. If you drop then you'll have to pick it up before you can attack/type again. If the timer/circle around the book goes away will you lose your progress in the text you were on.

also note that there is a range for how far away you can be when attacking.

Book Arrow

This arrow/cross shows in what direction the book is if you've lost it.

Combo Meter

The combo meter shows how big of an combo you are on. The green meter that goes up and down gives more points the further up it is and when depleted stops the combo. The combo also stops when taking damage and typing a wrong key.

Health

You have three hearths of hp. These don't activate though unless you don't have your book on you. Once you lose your book are you defenseless and can take damage and lose one of your three hearths. You can lose your book infinite times or until time runs out. And you have a little time of invulnerbility everytime you lose a hearth or your book where you can pass through bullets/obstacles.

Text Field

You can in the bottom of the screen see the words you have to write but it usually ♥♥♥♥♥ it up if you "alt+tab" out of the game

Boss Guide

I'm not gonna do a boss guide but I'll do add some tricks for a few bosses here.

and use this video of a guy that beats all bosses without taking damage if you are interested in going after that challenge.

Exorcists Showdown

You won't get hit while standing in these two spots during the first and second time he shoots in every direction.
