An Updated Walkthrough + Achievement + Troubleshooting Guide

If you still encounter problems with earning achievements for the game, try out this guide as the following steps have worked for me.

Overview

Despite the new bug fixes coming out, I still struggled to get all of the achievements. However, after hours of torturing myself and trying to come up with a solution, I finally had an answer. This guide is here to help those that despite following the previous guides still encounter problems.

If you still cannot get achievements by the end of this guide, then may God help you.

[OPTIONAL] Downloading and Installing the 18+ Patch

The Steam version comes vanilla, however, you can download the patch at Jastusa[jastusa.com]. Once downloaded, you will get a .rar file (.zip or .7z depending on which extracting program you use) with the name sweet-pool-patch-for-steam.

To install it, follow the next steps:

• Extract the contents.
  
• Ignore the patch_readme.txt. The site's instructions are wrong.
  
• Instead, open the sweet-pool-patch-for-steam file and drag its contents to where your game is installed.
  
• When prompted to rewrite the files, click yes.

Sweet Pool can now be played uncensored.

Achievements

Overall, there are 12 achievements; 7 endings, 4 extras, and the final achievement.

If you want to play the vanilla version of the game, then there is a 99% chance that you are screwed because you will *probably* not get any achievements after clearing a route. How to fix this? You have to download the 18+ patch and play. I highly advise you to play with the 18+ patch first because the saves between the patch and the vanilla version are separate. You don't wanna work more, do ya?

Unlock the full version of the opening song. (Clicky on the /full ver. Next to the Movie 001 to play and then skip if you are tired from this whole ordeal. I getcha.)

Honestly, the point system makes no sense. Nothing in this game makes sense. Anyway, you are all here for the eye candy. I suggest you follow the routes below and leave Tetsuo for last as his routes are actually longer. Keep in mind that Reason is BLUE (lower left corner) and INSTINCT is RED (top right corner).

** If you don't get a choice at the pool CG, simply load the correct quick save (the one with the pool picture) after getting to see the ending and now you will be able to make two choices: REASON or INSTINCT. I believe the first time you see the REASON ending.

[***CONGRATULATIONS! Achievement Problem]

So, you've got most of the achievements so far but you can't get this one to pop? Well, I've got the solution for you but it involves accepting your masochistic tendencies. Follow the steps below and try to keep your sanity over this God's forsaken game. why couldn't they give us the 18+ version from the start, bug free?!

I. First, you gotta uninstall the 18+ patch. How? Follow these steps:

• Go to your game's folder and delete the patch folder.
  
• Open your LIBRARY on steam, find sweet pool and then right click > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game files. Click okay and then steam will do its thingie and redownload the two files you had rewritten when installing the patch.
  
• Your game now is the vanilla version.

II. You gotta delete them saves. Here is how:

• Open sweet pool and then click on the Open Save Folder.
  
• NUKE THAT ♥♥♥♥, delete, make it disappear from existence.
  
• You now have no saves nor any more patience.

III. Finally, you have reached the last and most fun part. I am sorry to break this to you, but you have to replay the whole game AGAIN and get every CG cutscene. After you are done with self-torture, go to EXTRAS > CG Gallery and watch the new CG/Cutscene unlock. Hopefully, you've got your trophy now.

EXTRA TIP: If you want the 18+ CGs back, simply redownload the patch and they'll be there.

Did you complete the VI. step all the way through? You have to replay it and choose the other option until the end.

Ive managed to unlock most achievements except Miracles may, even though i unlocked 'Miracles may route'. Does anyone know why this is or what ive done wrong?

i have the nsfw patch , played with it first and the ONLY achievement i got is CG completion

My heart is dead I played the whole game and even got the liner notes but it still didn't unlock the final choice. Man, I just want my sons to happy. I feel cheated and my cheeks are stained with tears. Does anyone have the same problem and if so is there solution?

PS. I have the patch but from what I can tell I installed it correctly

Thanks for the guide. I believe circumvention described here is now completely obsolete and all achievements can be unlocked during a single playthrough without even needing the patch at all.
I played through all 6 routes with the patched game files and unlocked only "CG Completion" and "Song Completion", then reverted to vanilla and played through all 6 routes again and unlocked the remaining 10/12 achievements there and then, skipping to next choice with "N".

I have a Steam-free version of sweet pool, so achievements are kind of a non-issue. But thank you for making this guide (which I used for the REASON/INSTINCT thing) and for all the suffering and anguish you were forced to endure trying to get the achievements to work properly

I had the patched version as well at the time of making this guide. Have you tried doing all steps correctly? The game is a mess, so I am not surprised if this solution doesn't work for everyone but it has worked for me.
