City of God : Prison Empire, Custom Game Tips
By Redrusty66
An attempt, from an English player who's never made a guide before, to accumulate some faqs regarding the gameplay and answer some questions/provide some tips to English players trying to navigate the game based on the problems I had and what I learned (As almost all my questions I had to figure out through trial and error). I be working on it over time and as I learn more.

Basic Tips For Custom Play
So I am going to answer some of the questions I had to ask myself. Hopefully it will help others in the wonderful little game.

1) How do I begin getting into this overwhelming game?

A) Just dive in to the story mode for a bit, it will lead you quite far and quite well, in understanding the early basics of what to do and how to do the basic functions. From building your prison, intake of convicts, upgrading, production, selling and the overall use of the UI. I would then suggest, after looking around and doing quite a bit of the story, to then switch to custom mode where you can begin to answer some of the question you will start asking yourself based on what you've seen in the story mode and what promise it holds for future gameplay.

2) So now I am ready for a custom game, what next?

A) Chose your custom map settings and give yourself plenty of money, a ready made prison of your choosing (Over-Floors ,Office Floors, Underground floors. ect). The setting selections are pretty clear, increase market demand, lower the npc and gang's power. Give yourself plenty of room to fail without messing up your game. Seems unfair? trust me, it's not. Due to the learning curve and the very challenging AI you don't to risk becoming frustrated while you learn the ropes of this game.

This section is pretty simple and I'll add any information anyone needs about the basic gameplay here.

Gang Land
In this section I'll be talking about what I've learned about the outside world, world map, street map, whatever you want to call it, where we conduct out life as a gang leader.

Gangs? Strongholds?

Ah yes, the Saint's Row 3 part of the game...lol WOW at the enjoyable complication of this part of the game. If you go to the world map you'll notice gangs control everything, except..yes...hiding right by your prison are 2 Strongholds (streets) for the taking, they are basically FREE strongholds for you to begin your journey as a gang-leader. I missed them for so long in wondering what to do and there they sat the whole time.

Be sure to create your gang, gang icon, ect in the gang room you've built in the underground levels.

These 2 strongholds, which allow you control of these 2 streets are free for the taking. All you need to do is INTAKE a gang leader. Once you have a gang leader in your gang (be sure to set the custom game settings to allow you to "hire" the criminal prisoners (those are the class of prisoners that you can invite to join your gang) straight out, that means without having to fulfill their requests. This setting is in the custom game maker and you should be able to find it easily as the creation settings are surprisingly clear.

Now that you have a gang leader in your gang (of which you can have many) you just go to the world map. Click on either of the strongholds that are not owned, and click "Attack stronghold". There will be no fight, as they are unoccupied. Do this for both strongholds and viola you have your first 2 stronghold you can now start upgrading, arming, occupying and outfitting.

How do I outfit my gang members? You noticed when you attacked the strong hold, it brought up the screen for you to choose which leader you wanted to run that street for you. Dress him there. DOn't have any stuff? That's ok, once you have your prison up and running you can make good gear/weapons for him.

But I cannot redress him? Once you have more gang leaders you can click on ANY stronghold on the world map and bring up that screen, where you outfit you gang leaders. Then close it without attacking. You can then go back to your strongholds and replace the one you have running that street with a different leader you have dressed (do this however many times you wish as you get more gear)

Are they worth ti? Yes, it's the whole point of this part of the game.. you will receive a weekly shipment of loot from that stronghold. As well as Strategic points for you to use to upgrade the strong hold. This loot includes all manner of goodies including books you can use to consume in your Weapons, Forge and Apocalypse R&D for points which you then spend on making gear for your gang members.

How do I outfit my non Gang leader gang members. In a different manner but similar to the gang leaders. You just go to your gang-room and click on GPS, find a target to attack this will bring up a screen SIMILAR to the Stronghold Attack screen. Only in this one it wants you to form a team from your other members. You can dress each one of them there and they RETAIN (Just like the gang leaders) any gear you put on them as long as they live in your prison. You can dress and redress your leaders and members this way as you gain, find, create or produce more, different or better gear. You can then go ahead with the attack, and die..LOL...if you don't know what you're doing. Or just close it until you feel they are geared enough, strong enough and you have yourself powerful enough to actually fight. (all I can say is RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH that command tech tree.)

Will be continuing to add to these sections as I both learn more or people ask for specific information. (If I've learned it myself yet that is.)
