First Part
Hey everyone! I founded a way to play multiplayer, but on steam! without0 re-downloading a full copy or something like that.
So, first part is to add a line to Windows Host File, what can be found there: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open the host file with notepad, then ad this line to the end:
127.0.0.1 dsiege2.available.gamespy.com
Final Part
Now save and let's go to the second part :).
Download this Dungeon Siege 2 v2.2 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE

At: http://www.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_dungeon_siege_2.shtml#Dungeon%20Siege%202%20v2.2%20[ENGLISH]%20No-CD/Fixed%20EXE

Once it's downloaded go to your steam folder: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeon Siege 2
and drop the un-zipped files there, and accept the replace (be always sure to make a copy of the original EXE)

Now we're all done!
Let's start Dungeon Siege 2, and... OH the multiplayer is activated!

ENJOY!

The Apostel if running windows 10 you need to run notepad as an administrator and make sure you select all files, instead of a txt file, when saving. The Host file does not have an actual file extension, these are usually just plain text files that other programs can interpret the data.

The purpose of this specific file is to redirect incoming web traffic to another site, or to ones local pc. 127.0.0.1 is your local pc, the website after it means its redirecting the traffic that should go to that website, back to your pc instead. Its basically tricking the system to think a gamespy connection still exists.
