How to get OLDRIM and its DLCs.
Por VaaaVa
Here is my guide to buying OLDRIM and its DLCs in Steam ! The reasons why OLDRIM was deleted is that Bethesda needed money and so they released a lot of useless editions of Skyrim because they was too lazy about totally updating OLDRIM.

If you have a low performance PC, go to OLDRIM, but if you have a good PC, go to SkyrimSE, especially for its graphic mods ^^

(Sorry for my english, i'm french.)

For those who had the DLCs and don't get them back when re-installing :
If you'd already bought Skyrim (with no DLCs), and then later purchased a physical copy of Skyrim Legendary Edition (which includes all the paid DLCs), installing from your DVD skips the whole "asking for the Legendary license key hidden in the box" step. The DLCs installed from the disc and played anyway (because there's no DRM attached to them), but you'll be unable to redownload them through the store until the license key is found and registered against your account.

High Resolution Texture Pack
Click here, because Steam does not display the link when I put it directly.

I don't recommend it because it is very heavy (several GB) and generates a lot of lag while it doesn't change much. I recommend you go to Nexus and download the 2K Noble Skyrim Pack[www.nexusmods.com] which really changes everything for 1 or 2GB.

Third-party key sites can get you everything for a fiver, I got this edition so I could burden my SteamDeck with over 90GB of mods! 🤣

The only reason I would play Oldrim at this point is to bug test old mods in order to fix them up before porting them to SSE. There's still a few reasons to get Oldrim.

Im pretty sure deleting a game from a marketplace is not how you make money. But I know you meant unlisted. SkyrimLE is cool. Its the console equivalent of where skyrim reached. But SE 64 is what Skyrim deserves. Yes there are still some oldrim bugs, but no different than most games that have bugs that are never addressed. Lets be real, the modded unofficial patch is just a nitpick mod. You can live without out. I have. Skyrim LE was unlisted simply because SE was way better and more pleasing. That's just gaming. My old computer could never run SE nor play GTA5. Games evolve and so should our own specs. Besides having an old computer, why need LE when SE is cheaper on sale and includes everything? Anyways, didn't mean to write all this, just the wording on this guide is so drama inviting.

Of course, press OK after you paste that command into the field, and it will open Steam if its not already open, and then launch the install prompt if the game is not installed, and then you can either launch it from Steam directly, or use the command given here again to launch it after its done installing.

just use Steam Browser Protocol.
Steam Browser Protocol Valve Developer Wiki Link

Steps:
1.) Hold Windows key, then press R and release keys. Run window appears.
2.) Paste the following command in the box:

@ANVIL They should start downloading after you've finished installing the game. If not, then I'm out of ideas, sorry!

You can also read the "For those who had the DLCs and don't get them back when re-installing :" section in my guide if it can help.

Now I'm not saying that SkyrimSE is the perfect edition, the proof, the hundred of bugs still present despite the years, and the patch mods such as the unofficial patch. BETHESDA are profiteers for sure but we must not deny the advances that SkyrimSE has allowed for modders to improve our gameplay.

So if you don't want to accept this or your PC is not powerful enough to take advantage of these advancements, stay on OLDRIM, it's not a problem, but before you say shit, get some information, thanks.

Also, whether on OLDRIM or SkyrimSE, I will ALWAYS advise to install some optimization mods, here is a non-exhaustive list of what I personally use for SkyrimSE: (This allows me a very smooth vanilla experience with better texture, sound, and especially a constant 144FPS.)

Sorry if I was a little harsh :cocohappy:

@Toaster Oven

When you don't know anything about technology and you don't go further than the end of your nose, you keep quiet.

SkyrimSE brings performance improvements, such as the fact that it is compiled in 64bit, and many other technical things that I don't think you would understand.

However, these performance improvements are only available with a "modern" PC and not a crappy 2000's computer.

It's a bit of a cop-out to say that SkyrimSE is crap. And it proves that you don't know enough about it.

And lmao "better mods" support.. Just because OLDRIM has more mods due to its age and compatibility with older systems, doesn't make it better. SkyrimSE allows for more advanced mod and optimization, especially in terms of texture compression techniques.

Oldrim was just unlisted you can still go to any browser look up Steam Skyrim orignal and one of the link should bring you to Oldrims page. also it was "unlisted" because basically Bethesda need cash money or they would have ended up swimming with the fishes. so they decide to Unlisted the orignal game aka Oldrim and make Skyrim Special Edition then proceed to sell the fuck out of it in hopes to make more Cash Money [ps] they did and also sell it for 40$ currently at the time of this post 13$ bc sale. i do own Oldrim, SkyrimSE, SkyrimVR. and i wont lie to you i pirated the dlc for Oldrim since i had already bought skyrimSE Basically meaning i already owned the game and dlc so technically its legal. would also be a scam to pay the same amount of money for SE for just the dlc to Oldrim. so ya
