It's short, but still a masterpiece. XD I'm absolutely in love with it.
The controls are better in the PS4 version, but not perfect. The camera auto-adjust is still a pain in the arse, aiming while riding is still a pain in the arse, Wander still jumps in the direction he is facing, but also has a delayed turn so on narrow ledges you can't turn properly to jump and he will just try and tumble off the edge (which is a real pain for the Malus fight still).
It's still SoC, but most importantly is how stunning it looks. It's the most effort I've seen go into a rework - especially the forested areas.
I was also surprised at how short the whole thing is, too. I'm already up to the 12 or 13th Colossi after about 5 hours. That said, slowly remembering the quirks of each has probably halved the time it took me the first time through all those years ago on PS2 xD
The game has filters and a photo mode - filters are great, I actually have a video of me battling one of the Colossi using the night filter (which as you can imagine, just makes it look like it's night) and it's royally spooky - but I used the photo mode for this and fiddled with RGB. I slightly raised the vibrancy and added some red and purples to make it look sorta like early sunset.
