The Wolf, despite his best efforts, was unable to elevate the quality of The Wolf's Bite to a level commensurate with high end dining. His own failure, coupled with the Pigs' incessant scheming, resulted in a dining experience that was enjoyable enough to provide steady income, but, alas, keep him from the truly elite ranks. Ever the entrepreneurial optimist, the Wolf decided to "go with it." If people enjoyed his non-elevated cooking, then he'd make a go as a non-elevated restaurateur. The Wolf's Quick Bite, a fast food restaurant concept, spread like wildfire. The Wolf, freed from his gourmet aspirations, quickly established this new brand and focused exclusively on convenience, affordability, and market presence. The Pigs, unable to sabotage the entire chain due to the sheer number of locations, were forced to pivot into corporate sabotage. This was a new and much more challenging field for them, but hey, it beats legitimate work."

When the Wolf got into the restaurant business, his goal was to make money. A moderately successful restaurant, constantly besieged by pranking Pigs, ended up costing more money than it took in. While the restaurant was a financial failure, to many people's surprise-especially the Wolf's, it catapulted the Wolf to celebrity status. The Cuisine Channel caught wind of the underdog, self-trained restaurateur. Executives noted that what he lacked in business acumen, and if they were honest, culinary skill, he more than made up for with charm. Cuisine Channel made him the host of "Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner," a show where he travels the kingdom sampling and promoting the work of lesser known but more talented chefs. The Pigs were understandably upset. The beast who had demolished two of their homes was now a television star. Adding insult to injury, despite being able to drive him to the brink of bankruptcy, his new income dwarfed theirs. "I guess the best we can hope for is to open a restaurant and hope he promotes us." lamented Sergey.

Elbow grease, careful planning, and strategic execution imbued the Wolf with a vast fortune. To his ceaseless amusement this wealth was amassed, despite the Pigs liquidating and ultimately exhausting their own assets in a futile effort to sabotage the Wolf and his restaurant. Humbled, the Pigs were forced to live hand to mouth until the Wolf, moved by the pitiful sight of the Pigs' begging, felt a philanthropic tug at his heart. "Boys, we've had a rough history, but I'm willing to put the past behind us and let bygones be bygones. I'll even offer you jobs." With Binky as his butler, Stinky as his groundskeeper, and Sergey as his official coin polisher, the Wolf had a full residential staff. Although one could argue the Pigs were "paying" for it. "Sergey, why aren't these coins sorted by diameter? Binky, my dress shirts are not sorted by cloth, color, and collar type. Stinky, why does my hedge zebra look like a hedge horse? Ugh, good help is so hard to find these days.

The Pigs, through their mischief and trickery, were able to scrimp and save a small fortune, all while slowly bleeding the Wolf dry. The gap between the Wolf and the Pigs actually grew so wide that the Pigs decided to buy out The Wolf's Bite, the first step of their ultimate revenge. The Wolf was kept on staff, but he was delegated to washing dishes. The restaurant was also rebranded "The Feeding Trough" and switched from single plate delicacies to an all-you-can-eat buffet, further demoralizing the Wolf. The Wolf was at the end of his rope. With nothing to lose, he finally snapped. He huffed and puffed and blew the restaurant down. Surveying the wreckage, his dreams in a heap of splinters, he heard hooves behind him. "How does it feel to have been outsmarted and made to destroy your precious restaurant? This is even better than destroying it ourselves, because now we collect the insurance money and you go to jail." Sergey said menacingly from the shadows, cell phone in hand. The downtrodden Wolf sat, shell shocked, and waited for the police while Sergey walked away laughing.

The Wolf's Bite rose to prominence as the place to be seen in the kingdom. Despite the Pigs' financially ruinous attempts to thwart the Wolf and his business, the restaurant has thrived. It was even voted "Best Place to Work," further heightening its status regardless of which side of the check you're on. With their savings rapidly depleting, the Pigs decided to stop fighting the tide and become good employees of The Wolf's Bite. The Wolf, too consumed with running his business and mastering his craft to be vindictive, decided to give them a chance. Sergey became an accountant and was able to save the restaurant five percent on its taxes. Stinky, who took over custodial duties, had the place looking spick and span. Binky took to waiting tables and came up with a way to reduce kitchen-to-table time by three percent resulting in a boost to revenues. While the Pigs did exceptionally well, Employee of the Month was awarded to the Wolf for having the foresight to hire such outstanding employees.

The Wolf's Bite was a failure and driving it into the ground proved surprisingly lucrative for the Pigs. Eager to drive the proverbial nail into the coffin, the Pigs hatched their greatest sabotage yet. Since the quality of The Wolf's Bite had been driven so low, its market share was exposed, delicate, and fragile. The Pigs could permanently dismantle the restaurant and secure future cash flow by opening their own restaurant. As long as it was a tiny bit better than The Wolf's Bite, they'd win with customers and create a feedback loop death spiral for the Wolf and his ailing restaurant. Things were slow at first, until one day the Wolf was seen carrying a large take out order from The Pig's Snout to The Wolf's Bite. The Wolf's concession to the Pigs' restaurant's superiority was even more satisfying than seeing his business shut down.

The Wolf's foray into the restaurant business was more or less a resounding failure, but because so many people came through his restaurant he built up a pretty impressive network. His philanthropy, charisma, and general good looks helped him win the hearts and minds of the village. When it was time for the mayoral election, the Wolf won in a landslide. "My first act as mayor of this fine village is to institute a special tax on licensed candy products and enforce stiffer penalties for unlicensed candy. These processed confections have been rotting the literal and metaphorical enamel of our society. These taxes will fund a new and improved culinary academy, spreading nutrition and stamping out the candy menace for good." With their illegitimate income stream proscribed by the Wolf's new laws, the Pigs were forced to get real jobs, ironically, as candy tax collectors. "At least we still make money off candy, guys." Stinky said cheerfully.

Originally, the Pigs were going to run for mayor but quickly realized the job could not be shared. Rather than run just one of them and create tension, the Pigs decided to get into campaign funding. Their pal, Terry the Troll, was willing to run and follow orders if elected. The opposing candidate couldn't match Terry's campaign funding and lost in a landslide. "My first act as mayor is to institute an annual night of reckless indulgence. My advisors inform me this will lower crime and increase life satisfaction and general happiness. "The Binge" ...as I call it, is simple. For one night only, you can go to any restaurant, you can eat as much of whatever you want, and you don't have to pay." The Wolf and The Wolf's Bite, already in dire financial straits, were pushed over the brink by the feeding frenzy. What started as merely a busy night quickly turned into chaos as "patrons" stopped waiting for prepared food and just helped themselves to the pantry. By the end, the pantry was bare and even the silverware had teeth marks. "I have no cash, I have no inventory, I have to close up shop!" the Wolf sobbed into a half chewed silk napkin.

The Wolf and Pigs went back and forth in a tit for tat battle between culinary innovation and entrepreneurship versus spiteful tricks and negative public relations campaigns. The Pigs, aided by a biased media and superior numbers, were able to smear the Wolf. The reputation damage was slow at first, but grew like a snowball rolling down a mountain. The Pigs called for a meeting at The Wolf's Bite with the Wolf. Binky put on his wolf costume and attacked Stinky. The Wolf tried to break it up but the damage was done too quickly for him to make an impact, and Sergey's camera caught the footage for careful editing later. The village turned on the Wolf, and his reputation was too tattered to mount a defense. "Get out of here, we don't want your kind here!" the villagers yelled while hurling rotten vegetables and chasing him from the town. The Pigs chuckled as they deleted the original recording, the last shred of evidence that might let the Wolf come back.

The Wolf and Pigs went back and forth in a tit for tat battle between culinary innovation and philanthropic entrepreneurship, versus spiteful tricks and smear campaigns. Each attempted smear against the Wolf only seemed to make his reputation stronger. The Pigs, in an act of desperation, hatched a plan and called for a meeting at The Wolf's Bite with the Wolf. Binky put on his wolf costume and attacked Stinky. The Wolf tried to break it up, but the damage was done too quickly for him to make an impact. Sergey's camera caught the footage for careful editing later. What the Pigs did not know was that the Wolf's security cameras also caught what happened. The Pigs went public and the Wolf countered by releasing the footage. The villagers, finally fed up with the Pigs, drove them out of town for their repeated attempts to besmirch such a prized member of the community. "And don't come back until you appreciate what the Wolf does for this town!" the villagers yelled as they chased the Pigs out, hurling rotten fruit.

Between the Wolf's ineptitude and the Pigs' clever scheming and sabotage, the restaurant, which had so much potential, slipped into mediocrity and kept slipping. It seemed as though the worse the restaurant got, the more beloved the Pigs became. Their ability to sabotage the restaurant and keep their hooves clean made successive sabotages all the more effective. "Alright boys, I think it's time to deal the deathblow to The Wolf's Bite. For our ultimate sabotage, I say we call in the health inspector and shut Wolfie down ... permanently." The Pigs told the inspector that they caught Lettuce Lupus from an undercooked garden salad. "Lettuce Lupus! That sounds serious! I've never heard of it, nor did I know you could undercook a garden salad, but everyone in town is vouching for you. I'll shut down that health hazard posthaste, gentlemen." The Wolf's Bite was shut down and barricaded. Men in hazmat suits scoured the site, ultimately deciding sterilization via incineration was the best approach.

They say "You can buy fancy clothes, but you can't buy class" as a warning to the newly rich, but the Wolf took it as a challenge. Fur coat, gold jewelry, and a leather top hat were certainly fancy, but as classless as school in the summer. The conspicuous consumption coupled with his sordid reputation began rousing suspicion. "How can a Wolf with a moderately successful business afford such luxuries?" Sergey wondered. A bit of investigation revealed The Wolf's Bite had been taking on massive amounts of debt, while the Wolf's personal accounts were growing at the same clip. Sergey didn't even have to do a "penny-precise" analysis because the embezzlement was so flagrant. Sergey filed a complaint with the Kingdom Revenue Office and filed suit. The court ruled in favor of the Kingdom Revenue Office and the Wolf was found guilty of two counts of embezzlement and one count of first degree contempt for haberdashery. As a result, he was sentenced to three years in the dungeon.

Things were going well for the Pigs financially, a little too well according to some. "Those Pigs don't even have real jobs. How can they have so much money?" the townsfolk wondered. The Wolf, in a rare act of spite, hired a private eye to find out how the Pigs could make so much money. It didn't take long for evidence to start piling up. Illicit candy sales seemed to comprise the bulk of their income, but what sent the Wolf over the edge was evidence of them sabotaging his restaurant. Evidence in hand, the Wolf pressed charges with the sheriff, who was grateful for the opportunity to arrest those pompous porkers. Not even Terry the Troll could mount a legal defense to combat the mountain of evidence amassed by the Wolf's private investigator. The Pigs were charged with possession and distribution of unlicensed candy. Since the Pigs focused so heavily on minors, they received the maximum penalty of five years in the dungeon. The court also reimbursed the Wolf and rewarded him for his initiative. "I guess crime does pay." the Wolf chuckled as he counted his reward money.

Business was booming at The Wolf's Bite. Unfortunately, the velocity of inventory and focus on culinary excellence left its finances in disarray. Things got so bad, the Wolf was actually losing money day in and day out. It turns out the Wolf is a better chef than business man. A bidding war broke out over the financially vulnerable restaurant between the Pigs, which was funded by the Westside Porkers and famed restaurateur, Giuseppe Babineaux. The town, eager to maintain the culinary integrity of their budding tourist attraction, crowd funded Giuseppe's takeover bid, pushing the Pigs out of contention. "Ok Wolf, you stay in the kitchen where you belong and I'll handle the rest." Giuseppe was able to save the flagging business and restore it to profitability, while the Wolf got to focus on his true passion, cooking.

A bidding war broke out over the financially vulnerable restaurant between the Pigs, which was funded by the Westside Porkers and famed restaurateur, Giuseppe Babineaux. The Porkers' candy business easily bankrolled the takeover. Heisenpork took over operations and promptly installed Jean Garcia as head chef and fired the Wolf. "Don't worry, Wolfie. The Mayor has an opening for a private chef. If you teach me your Crucible Fired Chicken Curry recipe I may even put in a good word for you." Jean remarked trying to console the Wolf.

The restaurant turned out to be a veritable money printing machine. Ingredients came in, food went out, and it was extraordinarily lucrative. This surge in wealth for the Wolf took place despite the Pigs' best effort to sabotage him. The Wolf found himself with two excesses; cash and contempt. Then, inspiration struck. The Pigs were disliked by all, and their brethren in the West Side Porkers were widely detested. An anti-pig campaign would free the town of this porcine pestilence. All he had to do was win the hearts and minds of of the other townsfolk. The Wolf spared no expense; a billboard in town, television commercials, fliers, pamphlets, and even a skywriter. The Pork Purge took a little bit of nudging to get off the ground, but it quickly caught on once people started coming forward with their stories of victimization. The Pigs and the Porkers were rounded up and kicked out of town. The Wolf turned back to his work, lighter but also a little empty, no longer having anyone to hate.

The Wolf told people he wanted to change, but the Pigs saw through his ruse. He was using the restaurant to fatten up the village so he could go on a hunt once everyone's guard was down. Why huff and puff to blow houses down when he can use his restaurant to be welcomed into people's homes with open arms? Thanks to the Pigs' fearless public awareness efforts the Wolf's reputation was in tatters, but they knew that just made him more dangerous. The Pigs poured their finances into their biggest campaign yet. "Muzzle the Monster" was geared to subjugate the Wolf and eradicate the threat he posed to the town. The Pigs succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Apparently the village actually had a deep seated fear of the Wolf and the campaign became a rallying point. The mayor enacted the Carnivore Management Act, requiring all carnivores to wear muzzles in public. The Pigs slept a little more soundly that night, pleased with a job well done.

Ending 18 (available as of February 8th)

The Pigs fell on hard times. Their incessant scheming, plotting, and sabotage caused them to postpone their own careers. The Wolf, much loved by the community, took pity on them. "These wretched Pigs. Their misfortune is a reflection on the community itself. For too long, we have delegated pigs to lives of poverty. Starting today, The Wolf's Bite will earmark ten percent of profits to a special scholarship program to help pigs break the cycle of poverty through education. I urge other business owners and aristocrats to consider joining me in funding this philanthropic effort, either directly through donation or indirectly through continued patronage of The Wolf's Bite. Thank you." The Wolf really outdid himself with his plan. Eliminate sabotage, further boost social standing, and incent the community to give him even more business. "I should run for office ..." he smiled to himself.

I wonder if this ending can be achieved, since it has the exact same requirements as ending 3. If anyone has gotten this ending, let me know how! It is probably a mix-up with ending 21, because at the moment that ending has requirements that are very likely to match this ending's description.

As of the update of February 8th, you are able to get this ending. I am still not sure what exactly triggers ending 3 and what triggers ending 18, so if anyone knows I'd like to know to update the guide.

The Pigs were broke, but their campaigning and public relations managed to ingratiate them with the community. "Gentlemen, we need to channel our goodwill into our bank accounts, and I think I know a way." Binky declared in a flash of inspiration. The Porcine Protection Trust was a charitable organization founded by the Pigs for the pigs. "Ladies and gentlemen, too many of our fellow pigs wallow in crime and poverty while the rest of us live high on the hog, so to speak. With your help and our collective generosity, we can break the cycle of poverty." The Pigs' plan worked. Funds poured into the trust and were promptly misappropriated into the Pigs' personal accounts. "Heh, generosity is its own reward, eh boys?" Binky chuckled to himself while his brothers counted the haul.

The Wolf's Bite emerged as the place to be in the entire kingdom. No other social scene could compete. Celebrities, artists, politicians, and even royalty competed for seats in the highly esteemed restaurant. The Pigs, ever the restaurant's enemy, finally gave up. The more they attacked the restaurant's reputation, the more it backfired and damaged theirs. "I got it! You guys know about guilt by association ... what if we tried to get praise by association? If we promote The Wolf's Bite, then people will think we work for The Wolf's Bite. Then they'll like us as much as they like the restaurant." The Pigs' change of tactics actually worked, and they rode the Wolf's coattails up the social ladder. The Pigs' promotion was so effective that the Wolf invited them to a free meal in the VIP section. "Can you believe we used to bash this place?" said Binky, mouth stuffed with Crucible Fired Chicken Curry.

They pushed, pulled, plotted, plundered, and pioneered, but it was all for naught. So many things happened, yet none of it of consequence. The Wolf, the Pigs, and The Wolf's Bite were locked in a perfectly balanced, but completely unproductive triangle. Perhaps future visits and future adventures can break the deadlock and tip the scales, but not this visit, not this adventure. Please come back again soon. The fate of the village is in your hands, at least indirectly.

Wolf Reputation high, Pigs Wealth low

If you get this ending, you will also receive the "And In the End it Doesn't Even Matter" achievement.
A few tips
  • The lake is your friend if you are trying to keep either the wolf or the pigs changing as little of their stats as possible. It has a lot of neutral options which give no effect. If is also a great place to get rich or poor since a lot of the random events are about losing or gaining wealth.

  • If you are trying to keep the wolf from raising his stats too much, send him to the culinary institute and make him train in regional cuisines. This will raise his restaurant quality, but almost all of the random events can drastically lower your restaurant quality with the right (well, wrong) option. When his restaurant quality gets below 2 stars you can send him off to the lake to fish and raise it a little again and choose as many neutral options as possible.

  • *I might edit this later with some more tips if I can think of them*
Conclusion
Thank you for reading this guide and I hope it will be helpful.

I still haven't gotten the all endings achievement so it needs an update that tells you which endings it has given you. I want it but I sadly don't want to play this ever again with 21/22 if I have to sit through each.

I got Ending 18 with the following stats:
- Wolf: high reputation (I was at 70%-ish), high gold (I was at 17), moderate quality (~2 stars; if this is too high, you'll get a different ending)
- Pigs: high reputation (I was at 50%+), low gold (I was at ~5)
JFinny Sep 23, 2020 @ 7:26am
Got the ending but not the get all endings achievement... Wolf rep must go high and then go low. Pigs must end with high rep. Money for wolf has to be greater than 5 and no greater than 10 and pig's wealth must be no greater than 10 and no less than 5.
Loliwo  [author] Sep 22, 2020 @ 11:36pm
Maybe your Pigs Wealth is too high?
JFinny Sep 22, 2020 @ 2:49pm
I also just tried Pig rep 60, Pig 15$ Wolf Rep 0 Wolf Lower than 5$ and Style no Greater than 3 stars. Definitely something up with 17 blocking 9 according to these hints. All of the Pig in Wolf's Clothing missions, and nothing.
JFinny Sep 22, 2020 @ 2:40pm
Just recently tried Wolf 0 rep, Pigs 30 rep Pigs 15$ Wolf Lower than 5$ And that gives ending 17. It feels like most attempts to get ending 9 end with ending 17. Maybe you have to do all of the "Pig in Wolf's clothing missions." in addition to that requirement.
Loliwo  [author] Sep 22, 2020 @ 10:31am
I haven't played the game since I wrote this guide, but maybe the update that fixed ending 18 broke ending 9 instead then. I do see someone else on achievement tracking sites who got the all endings achievement earlier this year, so maybe it's still possible somehow? It doesn't seem like they cheated the achievements.
JFinny Sep 21, 2020 @ 2:54pm
Ending 9 Doesn't seem possible. High pig rep, high pig money, low wolf rep, low wolf money, purposely using smear campaigns or framing the wolf. Low restaurant quality... nothing doing. Maybe it was possible before the update that fixed ending 18 but I've tried most every combination and this one I cannot get.
JFinny Sep 21, 2020 @ 1:11pm
Ending 19 Can trigger 18 instead if wolf's wealth is high. Trying to Get ending 18 make sure wolf's Reputation isn't too high that way he is more like a crook and therefore doesn't force one of the reputation endings. [Wolf wealth 20, Pig wealth 4, Wolf rep Less than 50% Pig Rep Less than 40%]
