FVR V8Supercars 2018

Description
Please read comments below for latest updates or news.

FVR V8Supercars 2018 simulates the 2018 Australian Supercars Championship. The mod has multiple options in it to suit various configurations of how you want to drive. The diff ratios and tyres are set for the Australian tracks, with race changes. There is a Server Edition with open diffs for online racing. Please be mindful these cars run a spool diff which means a fixed axle unlike your normal cars. Therefore you can get extra wear if you are too hard on them and they can tend to try and drive around in a circle at low speed corners. You have to be smooth. They do use an S397 tyre with no changes however the diff will make them unlike a GT3 car. We can assure you they have been driven for hours and hours.

Please understand that if you find a fault this is a constant Work in Progress we are only human let us know as we may be able to update it but enjoy it for the short term. We do this for our own enjoyment and hopefully yours along the way. We aren't a big team and with life getting in the way it just means you get what you paid for. Speaking of which - paypal donations are always appreciated of course - FlashQld@hotmail.com

Image Space Incorporated and S397 for taking rFactor 2 over and allowing us the opportunity to be a part of the success of this and it's predecessor rFactor 1.

This is a standalone 2018 mod.. This is a new package 9.00 for 2018. You don't need to uninstal 2014-16 or 2019. We will be filling in the gaps soon with a 2017.

AND FINALLY AS ALWAYS A BIG SPECIAL THANKS

To our partners, kids and our cats and dogs for putting up with our hobby since we started all these mods. This mod has taken a extra long time to get to this point but hopefully what we have put out is worthwhile. We ar getting older. It is a work in progress and will not be worked on any further unless there is something life threatening. Cos we are in the process of doing 2019.

Please ask us, we're not that bad but we have noticed we get really resentful.

@peteduggan35 - it's because I haven't updated the certificates, you can't join anyway and we don't use it as much anymore. Takes too much time to maintain. Go to the Facebook site FVRFactor Supercars Australia

Version 9.00 of the 2018 mod is up. Reflection is odd if you are viewing through passenger window. Recommend don't do it :)

Attention Guys - this mod will be getting a full update this weekend sometime to introduce the new shaders. If you have an event on - let us know. So we can try and avoid that timing for you.

Flatout389 just checking which version of the cars you are using. If you are changing the diff ratio I assume you are running the LE version or League version. If you are choosing a different diff ratio to the AI it will def cause issues with staight line speed differences. If you use the normal version of the cars the diff is locked to the track generally if you use any of the regular VASC tracks. This will give you a much better result in parity with AI speed. Stay with 90 for difficulty to start with and try to work on getting good drive off the corner to stay with AI and you will be passing them in no time. The correct ratio for Sandown is 3.409 not 3.05(this is the Bathurst Diff).

@FlashQld Hello again and thanks for your answer. Had no time to try out the AI for some time now till today.
I have the latest versions of the cars, also I brought back the AI to 90.. 3:05 Diff, rear ring down, tape high.. and on Sandown the AI still drives faster than me. Interesting thing: on AI 85%, the AI is much faster till we reach 275 km/h.. then they "stand still" for some reason.. and I am getting faster. Had this issue seen on Bathurst. It's a really great mod I enjoy to drive.. unfortunately not against AI :( One other issue since last update: The in-car mirror of the Holden is flickering!
