BASICS

Real Information

The Tiber River is the third-longest river in Italy. Rising in the Appenine Mountains, it crosses the capital of Italy, Rome, and finally finds its destination in the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Fishing Planet

KEEP IN MIND: Because of the new fish AI it is not possible anymore to catch unique fish in one spot and at one time. They move and bite earlier or later, it is not fixed anymore. That means: Where there are small fish , there are big fish

It costs 6500 currency to travel there and 1000 each day

Asp - King of the Tiber River

Basic Information

Catching the King of the Tiber River can be challenging, but if you know where, when and how to fish for it, it is rewarding. With a price of 140 currency per KG it ranks 6th in the Tiber River. The Asp is a surface predator and that is also shown in the game. Shallow swimming lures or surface lures are the best choice. As for the time its the best to fish in the shown bitetimes and preferably the evening.

Where to fish

A good spot that I found out is at the Breathy Bridge. Here you have the ability to catch big Asp.

For an Asp you want to throw parallel to the bridge while keeping your bait as close to the bridge as you can. If you floatfish for Asp, let your bait float under the bridge and rethrow if it hits the bridge.

Lures and Baits

As far as I have noticed hardbaits work the best for Asp. If these are Crankbaits, Walkers
or Poppers, all have the ability to catch this strong fish.

If you are floatfishing, try Small Minnows or Shiners for bigger Asp and Grasshoppers or Dragonflies for smaller Asp.

Wels Catfish - Man-Eater

Basics

The Wels Catfish is the biggest freshwater fish of Europe. It feeds on everything that is in the water, but mainly feeds on other fish or crustations and worms. It can be caught with spinfishing, floatfishing and bottomfishing. But the best to catch it might be the bottomfishing.

The Spots

The Wels can be caught in deep holes in the water. It also loves dark areas such as bridges and docks. Due to that the biggest Catfish get caught around the broken dam or the breathy bridge.

Baits and Lures

The best baits for feeder or bottomfishing are Duck Mussel Meat or Medium, Small or big Cutbait for me. It also works with Small Minnows or Shiners but the chance to get a Trout or Chub with it are high.

Time

The best time for catching big catfish in reallife would undoubtful be the night. However in this game it does not really matter which time you pick. Just make sure to stay in the bitezones.

Common Barbel - Rivershark

Basic Information

The Barbel is a ground feeder, and due to it the best to catch with feeder rigs. Its special bodyshape gives it the nickname "Rivershark". It is quite hard to hook but with the right tackle and knowledge every angler should atleast encounter them once in their fishing-career.

Where to fish

The Barbel is commonly found in the deep hole behind the broken dam. However I got a fair amount of big Barbel at the asp-spot at the breathy bridge.

Lures and Baits

You can only catch this fish with natural baits such as Cheese, Blood, Corn or Red Worms and is a common side-catch while carpfishing, since both share the interest for the same baits.

Time

The Barbel can be caught at any bitezone.

Common Carp - Friendly Giant

Basics

- Mostly caught while bottomfishing and big carp almost always require chum

Place

- Feeder & Float Heaven

Lures and Baits

- Semolina Balls
- Peas
- Corn/ Sweet Corn

Time

- Mostly at night but also good to catch on day

Common Roach - Silvertreasure

Basics

Small fish that is mostly caught while bottomfishing

Place

There are no primary places for them

Lures and Baits

- Dough
- Semolina Balls
- Grasshoppers

Time

Any time works.

Creek Brown Trout - Small Beauty

Basics

A small, beautiful fish mostly caught in fast moving current.

Place

The small creeks at the most southern spawn point are always a good choice

Lures and Baits

Best caught while floatfishing on bait like:
- Mayflies
- Grasshoppers
- Red Worms

Time

Mostly caught at daytime.

Crucian Carp - Golden Coin

Basics

This small fish can be found everywhere where the common carp can be caught. Its a very easy to catch fish and can be annoying while carpfishing. However since the crucian has a much higher currency per kg, it can be rewarding targeting this fish. It is very easy to catch many trophys after each other.

Place

The best place to catch big crucians is the broken dam at the float and feeder heaven.

Lures and Baits

The crucian carp bites on many baits. My personal best for it are Red Worms, Semolina Balls and Bloodworms.

Time

The crucian carp can be targeted in any bitezone and even when there is no bitezone.

European Bitterling - Shell-lover

Basics

The Bitterling lays its eggs in shells and is commonly found at the bottom of waterways.

Place

Any place will work

Lures and Baits

- Pea dough
- Bloodworms
- Dough Balls

Time

Daytime worked fine for me, but nighttime might be better,

European Brown Trout - Moneymaker

Basics

An easy to catch fish that gives a solid amount of money.

Place

The Float and Feeder Heaven is a good spot if you throw far enough.
Also the rocks at Tiber Rocks are a good spot if you like spinfishing.

Lures and Baits

Baits:
- Grasshopper
- Mayfly
- Nightcrawlers
- Redworms

Lures:
- Narrow Spoon
- Nano Spoon
- Spinner

Time

Commonly caught at daytime. Best in the morning

European Chub - Wolf in Sheepsmask

Basics

Smaller fish that is mostly caught as a sidecatch while Trout, Barbel or Carpfishing.

Place

The Breathy Bridge is a good spot but it can be caught anywhere.

Lures and Baits

Baits:
- Blood
- Grasshoppers
- Mayfly
- Nightcrawlers

Lures:
- Narrow Spoon
- Nano Spoon
- Spinner

Time

Caught at any time.

European Eel - Riversnake

Basics

In this game a very useless fish, since you cant keep it.

Place

The broken dam at Float & Feeder Heaven

Lures and Baits

- Nightcrawlers
- Cutbait (preferably small or medium)
- Small Minnows

Time

Preferably at night.

European Grayling - Flagship of Tiber

Basics

The fish that has the most value.

Place

Tiber Rocks. Make sure to actually throw your bait or lure close to the rocks.

Lures and Baits

Baits:
- Mayflies
- Grasshoppers

Lures:
- Narrow Spoon
- Nano Spoon
- Spinners

Time

Mostly at daytime.

European Perch - Striped Knight

Basics

The European Perch can be found in almost every waterbody. Its a very funfish to catch on light tackle.

Place

To catch the biggest of them, a good place is the Western Tiber.

Lures and Baits

The best to catch big Perch is bottomfishing. You catch the biggest with Small Minnows and Red Worms.

Time

As long as you stay in the bitezones, the European Perch can be caught at any time.

Marble Trout - Made of Stone

Basics

A fish that gives much money and is caught at similar places and with similar lures and baits as the European Browntrout.

must say, i just red a bit, but had to comment, due to the effort on this guide. thanks a lot, it helped, it was easy to follow, and perfect data. i must add, just captured many trophy and unique trouts, from the dam, right in front where you spawn, aim to the castle in front, 25-40 meters away, using stop and go with an ordinary spoon (maybe another translation) 28g #2/0, i think i have some caps for more data on it, worth it, 2 unique and 7 trophies in a row, (marmorata and brown trouts)

@El Crypto just throw out your bait. The hole is almost all around the dam. Another top spot is the Asp-Spot at the bridge. Just throw infront of the bridge ^^
