What am I doing wrong here?
Nope.
The reason the 53's became (and are still) the most prominent trailers in Purolator's fleet is because they can be used for pretty much anything. They also have some that are heated. Challenger still runs for Purolator, but most of their one-way YYZ-YVR lanes belong to Arnold Bros now. Laidlaw runs one-way YYZ-YUL as well as northern Ontario for them. Highland runs one-way YYZ-YQM nightly. Sometimes on Highland trailers, sometimes on Purolator trailers. Don't know who runs YVR-YYZ, although I ran a YYZ-YVR-YYZ rounder once. Seaboard, Ayr and Armour run most of the loads westbound from YQM.

@The Great and Powerful Tavi - I used haul Purolator trailers from Toronto to Vancouver fairly often for Challenger. What I saw in Toronto and Vancouver were 99% 53' trailers, so that was my main focus with this mod. I threw in the 45's for those that like a shorter traile in this game. I don't doubt you about the 48's and 32's but back when I worked for Challenger around '99, 2000, the 53's were prominent. If you look on the door, there's my RL owner operator company name. ;-)
Back in the late 80's and early 90's I hauled some Highland loads around BC with my own truck, a '88 Western Star. God I loved that truck! ;-)
