DayZ GTA San Andreas

How to install DayZ Mod for GTA SA and basics for the game.

Requirement

1. GTA: San Andreas Version 1.0

• If you use a steam version or a new retail release you need to downgrade to San Andreas 1.0 (use google)

2. Multi Theft Auto

• Download Multi Theft Auto [multitheftauto.googlecode.com]

3. Install San Andreas 1.0 and MTA

4. Start the game

• Open Multi Theft Auto.exe and search in the Serverbrowser for "DayZ"
  
• Once you have connected to a server, you have to create a login. You will now spawn, if you disconnect your character will be saved.

Create a login

Basic Controls

WASD - to move around and the mouse to aim and look around
MOUSE1 - to shoot/attack
MOUSE2 - to aim/zoom weapons
MIDDLE MOUSE - to look behind or pick up items/inventory over gear
SHIFT - to jump or climb
SPACE - to run
C - to crouch (zombies are less likely to attack you)
J - to open your inventory, right click item & select the action to use it
TAB - to see the score board
F5 - to close or open right side stats
F11 - to use map (You need to find a map first.)
T - for local chat (limited by distance)
-> a private message can be send by pressing T and type msg/Playername Your Message
O - for global chat
Z - for radio chat (requires radio device, limited by distance)
F or ENTER - to enter vehicles
G - to enter vehicles as a passenger
I - for Infrared Vision ( You need to find infrared goggles first.)
N - for Night Vision (You need to find night vision goggles first.)

Loot PT. 1

Drinks:

• Milk
  
• Soda Bottle
  
• Full Water Bottle
  
• Empty Water Bottle (Can be refilled in any lake/pool)

Food:

• Beans Can (restores 200 blood)
  
• Pasta Can (restores 200 blood)
  
• Pizza (restores 300 blood)
  
• Burger (restores 300 blood)
  
• Cooked Meat (restores 300 blood)

Medical Supplies:

• Bandage (stops bleeding)
  
• Painkiller (stops screen shaking after taking a certain type of damage)
  
• Morphine (fixes broken bones)
  
• Medkit (restores health)
  
• Heat Pack (restores body temperature)
  
• Blood Bag (restores full health)

Loot PT. 2

Backpacks:

• Defaul (10 spaces)
  
• Small Backpack (16 spaces)
  
• Alice Backpack (28 spaces)
  
• Coyote Backpack (36 spaces)

Other:

• Map (shows your location when you press F11)
  
• GPS (shows a small map in left bottom sorner of your screen)
  
• Watch (shows time in top right corner of your screen)
  
• Lighter (requires wood and flesh to make cooked meat)
  
• Wood (requires lighter and flesh to make cooked meat)
  
• Road Flare (used to create a strong visible light)
  
• Infrared Goggles (infrared vision by pressing I)
  
• Night Vision Goggles ( night vision by pressing N)
  
• Tent (used to store items)
  
• Wire Fences (used to block off areas)
  
• Toolbox (used to destroy a wire fence and to repair vehicles)
  
• Empty/Full Patrol Canister (full required for vehicles, can be refilled at gas stations)
  
• Tires (required for vehicles)
  
• Engine (required for vehicles)

Useless items:

• Scrubby Burgers
  
• Empty Soda Cans

Skins:

• Standard Skin (will change into a bandit if you kill players)
  
• Civilian Skin (will change into Arctic Bandit skin if you kill players)
  
• Army Skin
  
• Sniper Skin

Basic Strategy

• Try to avoid it that other players discover you.
  
• Find a weapon first.
  
• Check dead zombies, dead players, entrances of buildings and crawl spaces for loot.
  
• Find water and food (water will drain a little faster than food).
  
• Look for bigger backpacks.
  
• Once you have the basic equipment and weapons you may want to try to find a vehicle or infiltrate an area.
