Weapon's Guide
By RSIBoi
As with its Variety of enemies this game has a great Variety of weapons at your Disposal to take down your enemies. From a Machete, a Revolver to the classic MP-40.

As with my other Guide (Enemies) i'd appreciate it if you could let me know if i missed anything a Particular weapon can do or where its found if i got it wrong which i hope i did not!

Now lets get into it.

What i've Changed in this Guide
============================================================================

Dec 10th 2018; Fixed some really bad spelling errors (Don't write half a guide at 3am in the Morning!)

============================================================================
Machete, Turkish Knife, Short Sword and Sword
============================================================================
The First Weapon we'll be looking at is the Machete, first found in Ceylon, Once in Istanbul and again in Pen Lai Lagoon, honestly this weapon is a piece of garbage, it swings slowly and it does not do much damage at all, it IS important for clearing vines and killing those pesky crocodiles or sharks but thats about it. There is no point using it in combat when you could just resort to your fists or just shoot the enemy. Ivory Hunters often carry Machetes, but it doesn't do much damage to you and they're easy to disarm with your whip or by knocking them down. You can block with a Machete as well.

The Turkish Knife is only found in Istanbul, while it does retain the slow swinging faults that the Machete has it makes up for it by doing much more damage, it honestly isn't half bad in a fight and you can block with it as well, if a Turkish Warrior is engaging in a Turkish Knife fight blocking for a while will eventually cause your knife to break! so be careful.

Short Swords are carried by Chinese Martial Artists in Hong Kong, it may swing slow but it makes up for it by doing VERY High damage, sadly you cannot holster it with you and annoyingly it'll also break after enough use, fortunately you get a good amount of them to use agaisnt the Martial Artists, definitely a step up, The Black Dragon Warriors carry them as well but as you have the Pa Cheng at that point the Short Sword is redundant.

Swords on the Other hand are found in Kong Tien's tomb, they do very high damage and can make killing the Reanimated Black Dragon Warriors a breeze... until it breaks which it will do quite quickly! but eventually you get the Blue Torch then the Pa Cheng and then it becomes redundant.

To Recap:

Damage: Very Low, Moderate, High, High
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes

Up next is The Whip!
==========================================================================
The Whip
============================================================================

Indy's trademark Whip, The Whip can do quite a lot of things and is quite underrated in my Opinion, there are quite a few attacks with it, You can whip constantly at a single target which'll stun them and do low damage, you can punch or you can do a swinging attack with RMB (Right mouse Button) to make enemies jump back and give you space, If an enemy is carrying anything you can hold LMB (Left mouse Button) to disarm them, if they are unarmed you can pull them by holding LMB and then you'll automatically connect with a punch to knock them down!

The Whip becomes incredibly useful as the game progresses as lots of enemies will have quite powerful weapons that can make fighting them difficult, it is also required to whip across certain areas, becareful when you target an enemy to disarm as it does leave you vulnerable for a couple of seconds. The Whip is kept in your Inventory the entire game, you can block with it as well.

To Recap:

Damage: Low
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes

Up next is The Revolver!
============================================================================
The Revolver
============================================================================

Ahhh the Revolver, an Amazing Powerful gun of Indy's arsenal. This weapon is kept in your Inventory for the Entirety of the game, it does very high damage and usually only needs 2 shots to kill an enemy, it fires quickly as well and has good range, unfortunately after Prague is when you will never find ammo for it. Its worthwhile to save it for tough fights or enemies that are very tough like Nazi Pyro's for example. Everytime you enter a new chapter you will have one clip (6 bullets) Ivory Hunters on Ceylon are usually armed with Revolvers.

To Recap:

Damage: High
Ammo: 6 Bullets per Magazine
Blocking: No

Up next is The Shotgun!
============================================================================
The Shotgun
============================================================================
The Shotgun is a fairly weak weapon, it has 2 shots before needing a reload and it does very poor damage at far range, up close it is a 2 shot kill and will always knock an enemy down, reload time is slow including the firing speed, Ivory Hunters in Ceylon are occasionally armed with a Shotgun, as well as Suited Chinese Agents in Hong Kong. Like with any Gun you can swing it to knock an enemy down doing low damage.

To Recap:

Damage: Varies at Range
Ammo: 2 shots per Magazine
Blocking: No

Up Next is the Silenced Luger!
============================================================================
The Silenced Luger
============================================================================
A Majority of Prague Nazi Guards are armed with the Silenced Luger, it fires at a moderate speed and does decent damage with poor range, it is Silenced as well which is cool but that doesn't serve the greatest use unless you're up for stealth kills (Which is a little tricky to pull off with the Janky First Person Mode) It has 7 shots per magazine and like any gun you can whack an enemy with the RMB to knock them down. As you encounter quite a lot of Nazis in Prague ammo for this weapon is easy to come by.

To Recap:

Damage: Moderate
Ammo: 7 bullets per Magazine
Blocking: No

Up next is The MP-40!
============================================================================
The MP-40
============================================================================
The MP-40 is a Glorious weapon that will truly be your best friend in any encounter with lots of enemies, some of the enemies from Istanbul onwards will be armed with this gun (Nazi's are an obvious Example.) It has 32 bullets per Magazine, fires fast and does great damage often knocking an enemy to the ground! agaisnt groups of enemies you can't have any other better weapon to use. You first get to use this in Prague and for the rest of the game aside from Hong Kong, Kong Tien's tomb and the Emperor's Tomb. Swinging this weapon also does good damage, Ammo does come in a decent supply so you'll often be able to use this quite frequently. Just don't use it at range, thats its only weakness.

Disarming any enemy who has an MP-40 is a must, as it can do significant damage to you, crack that whip and get that MP-40 off that poor Nazi then spray him full of holes!

To Recap:

Damage: High
Ammo: 32 bullets per Magazine
Blocking: No

Up next is The Mauser!
============================================================================
The Mauser
============================================================================
The Mauser is a great gun that you shouldn't underuse. It has good range, great damage and has 7 bullets per magazine. A Majority of Nazi's and some Turkish Warriors are armed with a Mauser, It is a great Subsitute if your MP-40 is empty or you need to kill your target/s at Range. Since a lot of Nazi's carry this weapon ammo is in large supply, a great gun.

Damage: Moderate
Ammo: 7 Bullets per Magazine
Blocking: N/A

Up next is The Panzershreck!
============================================================================
The Panzershreck
============================================================================
On the second level of Pen Lai Lagoon you can find C4 infront of you behind the White Pillar to blow up the damaged wall on your Left, in there you will find a Panzershreck, it's damage is so high it will instantly kill your enemies, Its blast radius is very large so make sure you're not too close when firing this weapon as it will kill you as well.

Sadly you cannot put this weapon in your Satchel so you'll only use this weapon once.

To Recap:

Damage: Instant Kill
Ammo: 1 rocket per "Clip"
Blocking: No.

Up next are the Spearguns!
============================================================================
The Speargun and Super Speargun
============================================================================
The Speargun is a powerful weapon found in Istanbul and Pen Lai Lagoon and is carried by Nazi Divers and occasionally found in some levels. While it doesn't fire that fast it does do great damage and makes Nazi Divers or Sharks an easy kill. It has 3 shots per Magazine and is the only Gun Related Weapon you can use Underwater. On Land its pretty good as well often killing your enemies in 2 hits or so which makes it handy when your MP-40 is empty, it also has better range than the MP-40

The Super speargun is only found in Istanbul on its last level and is required to beat The Kraken as it sends yellow jellyfish at you, shoot the Kraken in its eye's to cause it to retreat and plant C4 on the Pillars until they collapse. After that the Super speargun isn't seen again. It has 100 shots per Magazine and fires very quickly.

To Recap:

Damage: High, Extremely High
Ammo: 3, 100
Blocking: No

Up next is The Crossbow!
============================================================================
The Crossbow
============================================================================
The Crossbow is a fairly powerful weapon you can only obtain in the Black Dragon Fortress. Sometimes Black Dragon Guards carry them. You can only fire one bolt at a time however it does reload quickly. Usually it takes 3 or 4 shots to kill a Black Dragon Guard and you get an abundance of ammo for it. You could also use it in Kong Tien's tomb but as you can get the Blue Torch and eventually the Pa Cheng it becomes redundant.

To Recap:

Damage: Moderate
Ammo: 1 bolt per "Clip"
Blocking: No

Up next is The Blue Torch!
============================================================================
The Blue Torch
============================================================================
The Blue Torch is a really cool weapon that you find in Kong Tien's Tomb and is required to progress further through the Tomb until you Reach the Pa Cheng, it swings slowly and has a jabbing move like the Machete. Despite this it is a great weapon to use agaisnt the Reanimated Black Dragon Martial Artists until you obtain the Pa Cheng. You can Block with it and Indy cannot drop it which is great. One cool thing is that if you're blocking you can walk into the Reanimated Enemies to damage them which is pretty cool.

To Recap:

Damage: Great
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes

Up Next is The Pa Cheng!
============================================================================
The Pa Cheng
============================================================================
The Pa Cheng is an amazing weapon which you obtain on the 2nd last level of Kong Tien's Tomb. It has several different attacks and its quite powerful. You have your basic swinging attack with RMB and you can also throw it with LMB where it'll hit any enemies when it flies away from you and also back to you. Lastly you can block to produce a shield which will shock any enemies who hit you, you can also deflect energy orbs that the Blue Wraiths may send at you with This. It lasts several seconds before running out then it comes back a few seconds later. The Pa Cheng is absolutely crucial for killing Yellow Wraiths and Blue Wraiths as its the only thing that can damage them as well as the Terracotta Soldiers.

To Recap:

Damage: Moderate
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes

Up next are Throwable Weapons!
============================================================================
Throwing Knives and Grenades
============================================================================
Throwing Knives are fairly weak weapons that you can find lying around in some levels, you can throw them, slash enemies with them or just block, either attack doesn't do much damage, you can hold up to 3. They are often thrown at you by Martial Artists which does low damage. They still can be helpful to save ammo or to cause damage to your enemy at a Distance.

Grenades are very strong and can easily kill a large amount of enemies at once, you charge up how far you want Indy to throw them. When Indy pulls the pin they will explode in 5 seconds whether thrown or not, be VERY Careful if you're near a thrown grenade as it can instantly kill you or do very high damage. They are first found in Istanbul and occasionally throughout the rest of the game, If an Enemy is near a Grenade you threw they will either run to pick it up and throw it back at you or they will get to cover, to prevent this simply cook the grenade (Hold onto it for a couple of seconds) before you throw them.

Grenades are also helpful to keep your enemies at bay incase you need to retreat or heal up, but still be wary as your enemies could throw them back!

To Recap:

Damage: Low, Very High
Ammo: 3, 2
Blocking: No

Up Next is The Shovel, Chinese Spear and Table Leg!
============================================================================
Shovel, Chinese Spear and Table Leg
============================================================================
Shovel's are occasionally found in Ceylon and they do great damage to Ivory Hunters, often killing them in several hits, it's also possible to hit multiple of them in a swing, you got a basic swinging attack with RMB and a groin stunning hit with LMB if you hit an Ivory Hunter 3 times in succession, after you hit their groin they will moan in pain and be stunned, while this is Humorous it is much better to avoid doing this, becareful as if an Ivory Hunter has a Shovel they could ALSO do this to you!

Chinese Spear's are found in the Black Dragon Fortress often carried by Black Dragon Guards, Chinese Spear's do great damage and its possible to hit multiple enemies with a swing or two. Pressing LMB instead will make Indy stab his enemy doing moderate damage. You can also find Chinese Spear's in Kong Tien's Tomb which is handy as the Reanimated Black Dragon Martial Artists are a bit of an annoyance to hit, becareful as Chinese Spear's can Break with excessive use.

Table Leg's are obtained by breaking a Table and they do pretty good damage agaisnt your enemies, they have the same attacks as a Shovel (Swing and Groin hit). Becareful as Table Leg's can break with excessive use.

To Recap:

Damage: High, High, Moderate
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes, Yes, Yes

Up next are Bottles and Chairs!
============================================================================
Bottle and Chair
============================================================================
Bottles and Chairs can be found throughout some of the game and they are just throw away quick in a pinch weapons to use agaisnt your enemies. Bottles are in my opinion the best as you can throw them or simply smash it on a baddies head, either attack will knock them down doing quite a bit of Damage and can give you an advantage in a fight, make sure to be a little careful if an enemy has picked up a bottle as it can do a fair amount of damage!

Chairs on the other hand are pretty basic to explain, you can either swing them slowly or just jab it at an enemy, either attack will knock them down and break the chair, atleast it does a good amount of damage, you can block with both weapons as well, becareful being knocked down as the chair will break and it'll have done no good at all.

To Recap:

Damage: Moderate, Moderate
Ammo: N/A
Blocking: Yes, Yes

Nice Summary :)

There is an alternative Combo with the shovel/TableLeg/Pipes etc, LMB,LMB,RMB, which ends the combo with an upper swing. idk if it actually does more damage but it might :0

But the throwing knives can block if the enemies have swords.
Doktor Headshot Apr 11, 2021 @ 11:16pm
Don't forget the Dynamite Bundle located in a "secret area" of the Ceylon level with rope bridge 😉 You can use it against some opponents in the level so it might be considered as a weapon! Unfortunately it doesn't seem carriable over next levels though.

I played the game many times since the release. But I didn´t know that the swords in Hong Kong and Kong Tiens tomb are different. Thought it´s the same.
