How to Generate Notch's Mine in Torchlight 2

Notch's Mine is random, but here's what you can do to increase your chances. Remember, this is my own experience, not an official guide so this may not work for you

Checklist

Go to Imperial Camp. Have your map cleared up to the Sundred Battlefield Waypoint portal it should give you a message saying, "Waypoint Activated." (If it hasn't already.)

Save & Quit. Go to the main menu. Choose to play on LAN. Make a private game (if desired, add friends to go with you and get a Minecraft sword at the same time). Check the "reroll world" box.

Getting Stuff Done

• At the LAN settings, select [reroll world(s)] to generate new enemy spawns & map levels
  {Assuming you haven't found Notch's Mine in your current world]
  
• Teleport to Sundred Battlefield
  
• explore the outer edge of the map unless you come across Lost Hold, Some huge cobwebs, the Cairn Pit, or the Spectral Ferryman. Just rejoin the main map.
  
• Find Gravedeep.
  
• If you cannot find a cave entrance for Notch's Mine in Gravedeep, you must re-roll the map
  
• Keep doing these steps until you find Notch's Mine. Once you DO find it, you must re-roll the map to get additional, specific items from this cave.

Chest item drops! SPOILERS

you can get the Cobblestone, Diamond, and or Iron Sword (from my experience) In addition, you can get the Gold Sword and Wooden Sword.

• Remember, just re-roll to find more, different items.
  
• Each sword has different specs, can be enchanted.
  
• You can find the item's level based on your generated world's level and loosely based on your OWN level. I believe NG++ is the minimum world generation required to find lv. 100 swords in Notch's Mine. At this point, however, you may NOT add sockets via transmutation recipe, because you cannot combine a Lv. 100 item with a lv. 92 gem. You must find the legit socket enchanter - Jurick the Socketer - and pay a steep price for a max of 2 sockets, or go to the the modded enchanter and obtain a max of 4-5 (at 5, it's an obvious hack) sockets on that item.
  
• Remember, I recommend being at least the entry level for Sundred Battlefield.

no, not really.
You can regenerate the world map when you enter NG+ and so on, but that takes forever, and may not even be profitable.
Re-rolling on LAN is the best way to go
