Blastolene Special

The Blastolene Special, commonly called the Jay Leno Tank Car, is a custom car built by american craftsman Randy Grubb. The car is powered by a Continental AV1790-5B, a 23.3 litre V12, originating from a M47 Patton tank. The giant v12 is mated to a Allison six speed automatic transmission.

The car was Purchased by American TV entertainer Jay Leno, who has made various modifications to the car since, including changing the brakes, improving the chassis and electrics and possibly the most significant upgrade to driveablitiy, Electronic fuel injection and a twin turbo set up, the latter being to improve fuel efficiency and add more power, bring the car from 2-3 MPG to 5, the car is estimated to produce around 1600hp and 3000 ft-lbs of torque

It manages a quarter mile in 14.7 seconds, with a unknown top speed

The car was featured in Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 4, named the "Jay Leno Tank Car" after the development team visited Jay's garage to record car audio and spotted the car and decided that they HAD to include it in the game.

Uses a Pagani V12, so yeah, you need that

Makes just over 1000hp stock and drives how you'd expect a 5 ton car to handle, no idea how it is with tuning parts
