First Choices
This section covers the first two potential sets of choices you make, which are the first choices that begin shaping your character's stats.

The first set of choices you get to make are when you're going to report in to your superior officer. There are three and they are as follows [Albeit shortened]:

  • Report in Immediately
  • Observe Men Drilling
  • Talk to Officers

Choosing to report in immediately is the most baseline option with the least amount of impact on your character. By choosing to report in, you gain +2 to your reputation.

Observing the men drilling will grant you +2 to your Soldiering. However, there are decisions with the next choice that will determine if you gain any other stats as a result. They will be covered in the second set of decisions.

Talking with the officers will grant you +2 Charisma at the cost of -2 Reputation. Stats may be changed further depending on the choices made with the next set of decisions. They will be covered in a bit.

This is the second set of choices you will have to make if you chose to Observe the men drilling, or talk with the officers. Once you report in, your superior officer will demand an explanation for your tardiness. These are the three decisions:

  • Make up an excuse
  • Sit in silence
  • Apologize

Further stat changes may be garnered depending on which choice you pick. Sitting in silence or apologizing will not alter your stats any more than they already were.

If you chose to speak with the officers and make an excuse, an addtional +2 will be added to your Charisma, at the cost of -4 Reputation

If you chose to observe the men drilling and make an excuse, you will gain +2 Charisma, and lose -4 Reputation.
Personal History
Whatever your choices were initially, you'll now get to pick your personal/family history. Each choice will determine your stats in some way or another. First are four choices regarding where you come from. The decisions and their stat changes will be listed below.

  • The North: +105 Wealth, +5 Income
  • The West Coast: +10 Health
  • The Eastern Plains: +5 Soldiering, +10 Reputation
  • Aetoria: +8 Charisma, +8 Intelligence

The second set of choices will determine your character's age. There are 4 different ages to choose from. Thier stat changes will be listed alongside them.

  • Age 14: -5 Soldiering, -5 Intelligence
  • Age 18: No change/Default
  • Age 25: +5 Charisma, +5 Intelligance
  • Age 30: +10 Charisma, +10 Intelligence

The third and final set of choices before you are thrust into Chapter 1 and the true beginning of your character's story are a set of 5 items to choose from. Four of the items will boost one pre-selected stat by +10. The items and their effects are listed below.

  • Banecast Sword: +10 Soldiering
  • Custom Uniform: +10 Charisma
  • Set of Books: +10 Intelligence
  • Introduction Letter: +10 Reputation
  • Letter of Credit: +75 Wealth

With those decisions made, you're thrust into the main story, where these stats can quickly change depending on the choices you make.
