Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City The Ballad of Gay Tony

This guide is specifically for mission number 23 for The Ballad of Gay Tony. The title of the mission is For the Man Who Has Everything. The guide will explain how to complete this mission from start to finish. The protagonist or main character is Luis Lopez and the man giving him this mission is Yusuf Amir. Each section contains screenshots. The video appears at the bottom of this guide.

Cross The Algonquin Bridge

After the cutscene, Yusuf Amir, the rich Arab guy you meet at the construction site, will get inside your car and tell you to drive across the Algonquin Bridge to the Broker side. He wants you to steal a train car. He will prepare you for battle by supplying you with explosive shotgun rounds. Follow the GPS and you will find the Algonquin Bridge. You will have to deal with some traffic but it's nothing overwhelming. Sometimes the cars will move to the right or left lane in front of you as they can display bizarre A.I., but they can be dealt with easily. You will eventually reach the pink marker that is above the train tracks.

Jump On Top Of Passing Train

Wait for the train once you reach the chevron marker above the train tracks. Look to your right below the the bridge and you will see the train coming. As soon as the first car passes below your position use the jump button so that you are on top of the train. Another way of looking for the oncoming train is to pay attention to the blue blip on your radar. You will always end up on the last car of the train.

Shoot Your Way To The Front Car

From the last train car you will have to battle law enforcement as you move from one train car to another. LCPD choppers will fly toward in an attempt to kill you. Your explosive shotgun is powerful enough to take down the choppers with a few shots. The train will enter a train station where the LCPD officers will be firing at you from the train platform. Your main focus should be on the LCPD choppers because they are greater threat to your life than the individual police officers. Be careful with the overpass (3:47 in the video) because there are a few police officers firing at you from above once you pass the train station.

Duck Under The Chopper!

The train will approach a station and a an Annihilator chopper (L.C. Patriotism & Immigration Authority) will fly directly above the train in an attempt to hit you. You must use the duck key to lie prone on the train car to avoid the Annihilator. It will fire at you but as long as you duck you will avoid the Annihilator's physical and machine gun attacks.

Keep Defending Yourself As You Reach The First Car

When you reach the first car you must continue to defend yourself against the LCPD. When the train reaches the last station Luis Lopez will climb down between the first and second cars while Yusuf Amir arrives with a sky crane helicopter in a cutscene. Luis will automatically disconnect the first train car and hangs on as Amir's crane grabs it and lifts it off the tracks. Luis will be dropped off in Meadows Park and Amir will fly away with the train car. Mission accomplished!
