Hello everyone. I am no longer maintaining this guide as of 2024. To those returning, thank you for coming again.

This guide intend's to go over the basics of using the toolgun and its components. Videos and materials belong to their respective owners.

Basics of the Toolgun.

Assuming you know how to load in a map and how to move around, now let's select our toolgun.
As you select your toolgun, here are the basic controls..

Basic Controls

Left click - Spawn an item or modify it.
Right click - Remove or apply

These would usually vary as it depends on the tool you will be using.
For example, if i was to use the remover tool, left click would mean removing the tool itself.

Recommended Tools to get!

Precision Tool - exact movement of objects for accurate building. Push/pull, rotate, and snap props together at specific distances.

Stacker Improved - Stacks tool easier!

No-collide tool - No collides your props.

Multi-Parent Tool - A parenting tool to parent muliple props with only a few clicks. Similar to the weld tool, but secure, less laggy and efficient.

Smart Snap - This is a client-side tool for building contraptions with extreme precision, aligning objects for either aesthetic or functional perfection. To accomplish this task a grid is projected onto the object you are pointing at and by pressing the use-button your weapon will lock onto that point and allow you to place objects with pin-point accuracy. For all entities be them square, round or uneven this tool will bring you perfect precision.

i know this is not the correct thing, but for render tools, is it possible to use the material tool with regular textures like the checker board?
