Foreshadowing?  Nah.  Just another feather in the inconsistency cap.

P.S.  I am aware now that the puzzle I got so hung up on in this episode was easily solvable with a motorbike.  I hadn't really paid attention to the game's singular explanation of that mechanic hours prior to this, and so had no clue it was even a thing I could do.
