[cheat code] killer8 easy start

First time getting into killer8 ? Here is a little trick for you, chico.

The new game mode

Have you guys just beat killer7 ? Now get ready for Round Two with the killer8 mode and its greatly increased difficulty !

Here's a little trick to help you have good performances early in the game.

Code input

Enter this code at the "killer8 press start screen" (right after you lauched the game)
(Use a Steam, XBone, X360 or Dualshock controller for an easier inputing of the cheat code)


XBONE Controller
Down, R, Up, L, Y, B, X, A

Dualshock Controller
Down R2 Up L2 Triangle Circle Square X











Once you hear the Recovery sound effect, it means the cheat was input correctly.
You will obtain 100 free Serum vials when you'll visit the first Harman's Room in the Celtic Bldg, but keep in mind this will only work in killer8 mode !

Upgrading your characters

Once you've got your 100 Serum vials, upgrade C.o.n Smith or KAEDE Smith Criticals to level 4 to obtain the "Critical Lock-on" ability.


This will help you to automatically lock on to the Heaven Smile's critical spot even while it is hidden !
A good way to start getting into killer8 and its unforgivable difficulty level !

Try beating Target:00 Angel now !

Immerse yourself in this new game mode ! Be extremely careful though, you will always die in one hit if a Heaven Smile catches you (unless you're playing a character with a lot of health like MASK De Smith) !

So trust your gun, get ready and head on to the battlefield !

Update: I finally got the cheat code to work, very happy about that! But used the cheat code in a slightly different way than the intended code, and somehow it worked.
It was Down, ZR, Up, ZL, Y, B, X A

I guess so, you can apply the nintendo buttons setup on Steam and try to input it on the menu screen

Would the code still work if you're using a Nintendo switch controller and would skipping the cut scene for Target:00 (Angel) make the code useless? Have a frustrating time using the cheat code for the Killer8 mode.

Update: I tried it multiple times, however the cheat only worked when I booted up my completed save for Killer8, the one that had Lion as the last mission, went to Angel and it worked.

If you have unlocked Hopper7, will you still be able to input the code and have it work in Killer8?

Be it resolved that I played/beat Killer 7 back on the GameCube, I do like that I can just jump into hard mode for my PC run.
