"A diagram for Cities: Skylines - Industries, shows how resources flow between the various buildings available. I made this for myself to help me sort out where I was going to place what / where on my map, figured might come in handy for others too, so posting it up here.

The resource flows gets a little confusing to follow towards the end with nine resources to 16 factories, it was suggested adding colour helps which has been added to this version, what do you think? If anyone has other constructive suggestions on how that could be simplified, post your thoughts here and see what I can do."

Don’t forget that if you’re ambitious enough to try and actually integrate the new industrial areas found in ‘Industries’ that once you reach the ‘Processor’ level of the supply chain that you’ll not only have to address the products from those ‘Processors’ going to the Unique Factories but at this point their products are suitable for use by the original ‘Generic Industry’. This is where balancing production with storage and an excellent traffic management plan come into play. The attitude of ‘bigger is better’ will make traffic worse in this case. I’ve filled 6 lane one way roads to a standstill in my forestry area and it became like it wasn’t there.

Reference Step 5 for above.

A little bit of reordering and moving things around could help make it clearer, but otherwise, this already looks really good. One way to do this would be to have the final products in the middle and have 2 of the product lines on top and the other 2 below. That would greatly reduce the amount of arrows crossing each other.

@Aina Sul, thank you, glad you found this helpful.

@andersonmalatesta, yeah I hear what you're saying, this is specifically a flow diagram rather than covering how the AI handes the decisions on whether to import/export, when does it spawn a truck to make deliveries and to where etc. I did lots of plonking down various buildings and then watching where trucks would go, and this diagram was based on that.

@sdgelvis, on my screen, just under the image itself, there's a Download button, beside the Rate Up/Down, Fav and Share buttons.

Unfortunately, the Logistics AI of Cities Skylines Industries isn't perfect like that! I realized that raw materials have a different destination such as are kept in self-storage of extractors, storages, processor and exported! Even when I have the raw material stock balanced the processor will import raw material from anywhere! Also, when I have a storage of processed products aside from unique factories sometimes they will complain about lack of products (this crazy looping repeats for unique factories with processor and storages). This A.I. doesn't make any sense at all! You have a nice logistic map but it will not work as it should be! :steamsad:
