The Bolt Size Chart

Garage Flag Replacement

Optional procedure for adding the chart to the game by replacing the flag in the garage.

Section 1 - Download the image file.

1. If you are viewing this page in the Steam application, you need to open it in your web browser instead. Right-click on this text and select "Copy Page URL", then paste that URL into your web browser.
   
2. Right-click the image and select "Save image as...".
   
3. Navigate to your desired save folder if necessary.
   
4. Click save.

Section 2 - Install the image file.

1. Close My Summer Car.
   
2. Open the My Summer Car images folder:
   
   • \Steam\steamapps\common\My Summer Car\Images
3. Backup the original flag by renaming it:
   
   • Rename "flag_garage.png" to "flag_garage_original.png"
4. Copy the Bolt Size Chart into the My Summer Car images folder.
   
5. Rename the Bolt Size Chart to "flag_garage.png".
   
6. Launch My Summer Car.
   
7. Observe the Bolt Size Chart in the garage.

Hey NoStartySemi11, thanks for the feedback!

At the time this guide was created, the car year was not known. So I made a guess based on the only fact shown in game: the car appears new during the opening scene in 1976.

Since then, an update to the game added the official car year. It can be seen on the drag race results sheet after completing a drag race. The car year is 1974.

Yes, I realize that the year on the poster does not match the year of the car. Just pretend that this is the only poster the character was able to get and even though the year is wrong, all the parts and bolts are the same.

Hey Jonny, thanks for the feedback!

I love bolts. If I forgot some bolts I would feel bad for those lost bolts. And I would feel bad for letting you down when you came here for a list of all the bolts.

I took a close look to be sure I didn't forget them and if you look too, you can see that the Shock Absorber 6mm bolts were not forgotten. They are listed directly beneath the Shock Absorber 12mm bolt.

Update for current version (Whatever build it is as of December 11th, 2024), the shock absorber has two bolts underneath on the trail arm that are 6MM

exact year doesnt matter, I drive a 1994 that is bolt for bolt identical to a 2001, I follow guiides irl for newer model year vehicles, same thing applies here
