Car Spawn Change

Below is a list of cars that are default spawn only Auction or Salon. The list below will show where the cars can additionaly be added to without breaking the game

Some cars if added to junkyard or shed will break the game and couse it to stay on a black screen it seems


i will add more cars as i go through the list and what breaks what if chnaged

Program Files / Steamapps / Common / Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 / cms2018_Data / StreamingAssets / Cars.

- open car folder you want to edit.

- open config or config1 or config2 (open with text editor, Notepad wil do fine).

I havnt played this in like 5+ years lol i dont know the last update they did to the game and i dont have any DLC past those shown here. But the largest part most cars worked when changing their spawn locations aside from 3 shown above. 1 could been added to junkyard just not barn. Im not sure if they have changed this since this was made.

The method of changing them should still be the same unless they encrypted the files since this was made. So give it a try just make a backup save of the file so you can restore the original if need be. Add the new spawn locations to the cars you want then launch and see if the game opens. If not just remove the changes or do them 1 by 1 to make sure you know which one works and doesnt.

Now it's 2024 and we have more DLCs.
And I don't think devs will add more...

Or perhaps new cars will break the game?

Aww. Sorry to hear that of your loss as well. Losing all your hard work can set your ambition back a bit. BOO!! Best to you in your new experiences with it next time you play! Mine's back but... Starting over takes that ambition. I'm working on finding it. Perhaps some screenshots will help? lol

@ Nagisa, Yeah, I don't remember. I just got notification of your response but I don't recall exactly bc I'm on a new PC and all that data is now gone, though I can remember enough to do this again. :) lol But sadly I had so many floors of my garage with finished cars/jeeps/trucks.. I miss them.

@xts it might of been fixed or altered since i did this as alot has been added to the game and quite a few updates have come since i checked

@mick Yes, you can use this to remove cars. I did the same with vanilla cars. However, you have to keep "order.#" part, and this means you may still get them as jobs (but otherwise breaks the story mode)

I actually spawned the EndenLotz into the "Shed" (Barn) and saw it in regular game mode (not sandbox) but couldn't afford it. I did edit the files to get better and quicker opportunities with cars but backed them all up just in case. :) It didn't give issues but it was that car. Perhaps I needed to buy it?
