How to Bypass EAC Error

Oh, no! You want play Dead by Daylight but when you click "play" you get an Easy Anti-Cheat error! Not to worry! In this guide you will learn how to bypass this EAC error and get back to the camp fire!

The EAC Error

The Easy Anti-cheat error will look like this.

Step 1

Open your Steam library, right click "Dead by Daylight" then click "properties"

Step 2

Click "Local Files" then "Browse Local Files"

Step 3

This will open your Dead by Daylight directory folder. Right click "Easy Anti-cheat" folder and delete it.

Step 4

Open Dead by Daylight's properties and click "Local Files" (like you did in step 1 and 2), and click "Verify Integrity of Gamefiles".

















You may have a message box come up from Steam asking if you wish to make changes, click yes.

Step 5

Once the verification's completed, restart your computer and you're good to go!
