A campaign guide for Knightfall
By Stealth
Arguably the most difficult, frustrating mission in Star Wars: Battlefront 2. My goal for this guide is to enlighten players with my strategies vital for success in putting an end to the Jedi order that threatens our great Empire.

Enemies
Before committing mass genocide, its important to take note there are 5 variations of enemies that will defend their home to the death.

Temple Guard
Mostly recruited from Republic Army personnel, Coruscant residents and Jedi initiates that failed their trails. Many Guards were seen accompanying Jedi on trips throughout the galaxy.

Guards are standard infantry equipped with blaster rifles and thermal detonators.

Temple Vanguard
Vanguards were recruited from demolition specialists of the Republic Army and the Coruscant Security Force.

Vanguards are heavy infantry armed with rocket launchers and thermal detonators; they are tougher to take down than Temple Guards.

Jedi Padawan
There were numerous known Padawans throughout history, many of whom later became Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters. However, many also failed to achieve a rank higher than Jedi Padawan, either due to their rejection by a Jedi Master or by their deaths.

As lightsaber-wielding enemies, they are deadly at melee range.

Jedi Knight
Jedi Knight is a higher rank within the Jedi Order, referring to Jedi who had completed their training and passed the trials to become a full member of the Jedi Order.

Wielding lightsabers, Jedi Knights are especially deadly at melee range and their force sensitivity grants them impressive agility. They can kill most infantry units in just a few saber strikes and are also able to deal major damage to heroes.

Jedi Master
Jedi Master was the highest generic rank in the Jedi Order, succeeding Jedi Knighthood. Jedi Masters were usually the best of the best in the Jedi Order, due to their superior knowledge of the Force, lightsaber combat, and their success as the Master of a Jedi Padawan.

Jedi Masters are capable of the saber throw, making them deadly even at long range. They are a force to be reckoned with.
Unit choice
Clone Engineer

In my experience, I find the Clone Engineer to be the best unit choice for this mission, reason being his full arsenal.
With the Clone Engineer's shotgun, you can kill Jedi with a single shot at close-mid range if all pellets are on target, this also allows you to quickly dispatch them before they are able to get their guard up and start deflecting your shots.

The det packs are also useful for setting traps, giving you the ability to kill and/or stumble multiple foes with a single charge.

The Clone Engineer carries dispensers that hold bacta and ammunition that will quickly heal and re-arm you.
And finally, a F-187 fusioncutter that can be incredibly useful during a difficult section later.
March into the Jedi Temple...
1st Objective.) Capture Council chamber command post.
Fairly simple first task: Fight your way to the other side of the temple and capture the command post residing in the council chamber. There will be a heavy presence of Jedi and Temple Guards, neutralizing the CP will prevent more enemies from spawning in the chamber.

Be careful though. As you reach the top of the first set of stairs, multiple Jedi Padawans will fall from the ceiling to ambush you. If you get swarmed, back up a bit behind your friendlies, as jedi pursuing you will often be shot by your clone brethren.
2nd Objective.) Go to the library.
The Jedi are attempting to destroy the library's holobooks in direct defiance of Command. Stop them!
3rd Objective.) Stop the Jedi from destroying all of the bookcases for 2 minutes.
This is where most fail. Including me.
This is without a doubt the most difficult section of this mission, maybe the whole campaign. As the title says, you must defend at least one the bookcases for a full two minutes. This is most likely going to take you a couple tries, so I'm going to explain my strategy the best I possibly can.

As you arrive at the library, you will quickly realize there are many Jedi and Temple Guards attempting to destroy all of the bookcases on the first and second floor. Prioritize the bookcases on the bottom floor. The amount of time it takes to reach the second floor is just about the same it takes for all of the books to get destroyed. You will find it difficult to defend multiple bookcases at once, so really its just best to pick a single one with good health and keep a close eye on it. set your det packs on the bookcase you want to prioritize. Don't worry, you won't damage the bookcase as long as you have friendly fire disabled.

This section is all about speed and accuracy on eliminating Jedi. As they spawn in, they will prioritize the bookshelves, not you, but take care to stay clear of their pathing, as they will cut down any clone in their way. If you die once during this objective, it is likely you will fail.
Don't take the Temple Vanguards lightly either; their rocket launchers really put a dent in the bookcases.
After you've defeated the first wave, other clones will flood the library. Take care to use your fusion cutter to repair the bookcase of your choice. You can repair others if they're still standing, but you won't have long.

Once the timer hits 1:00, the next wave will begin. Don't rely on other clones to defend your objective. If anything, they will mostly serve as lightsaber sponges, slowing Jedi down, giving you an opportunity to finish them off. Before you know it, you will have completed your 3rd objective.
4th Objective.) Capture Jedi holocrons
It get easier from here. Your next objective is a pair of holocrons rumored to contain the sum of all Jedi knowlege. The first one's located in the comm room. Retrieve it and bring it to the veranda.

From the second floor of the library, a doorway serving as a shortcut will open, leading you through the data banks directly to the comm room.

Be careful, trooper. The data banks are crawling with Jedi Padawans and Knights. I trust you know how to dispatch the enemy by now. Keep in mind to use your det packs; the data banks are an excellent place to use them.

Once you've acquired the holocrons, bring them back to the veranda for pick up.

Use caution, clone. More and more Jedi are reinforcing the temple, and will do whatever means necessary to stop you from making it out with their holocrons.
5th Objective.) Kill a Jedi Master and bring his holocron back to the veranda
Upon completion of your 4th objective, Lord Vader will arrive at the Jedi Temple. His abilities are force choke and saber throw. Both are extremely effective at killing Jedi and infantry. Be careful though, a single padawan can do severe damage to Lord Vader if you're reckless. Time your attacks and you'll be fine.

A Jedi Master will appear near the star chamber and is carrying a holocron rumored to be containing vital information on Jedi and Sith knowledge. Eliminate him and deliver the holocron to the veranda.

6th Objective.) Kill 3 Jedi Masters.
Execute the three Jedi Masters, who have poisoned the minds of their impressionable students against the Empire. Let them bear witness to the cost of rebellion.

Kill them all

Conclusion
This is the first guide I've ever written on Steam. I put a lot of work into this and I hope it helped you out. If it did, please give it a rating and let me know how I did in the comments. Good luck wiping out the Jedi race. ~Commander Stealth

Can you make a guide for Our Finest Hour? It's the Hoth mission and the final one in the campaign.

I have been playing this game for pretty much since release on xbox in 2005 and I love this mission. This is EXACTLY how I do it and have always done it. Nice work!

I beat this level as a trooper but it wasn't that hard until you get to the library then it's very frustrating but I got it done. It was a while ago but I remember always playing trooper because of a role play thing I was doing in my head, idk I was dumb.

If you have the award rifle unlocked, it is a very effective tool against jedi, able to rapidly drain their block stamina and kill them quickly when unguarded.
Of course, if you already have the rifle permanently unlocked you probably don't need this guide.

You can do the library with a sniper. You mustn't have the award sniper, and you want to clear your way to the back left bookcase, and pray that the back two bookcases are alive by the time you clear the first wave. Position yourself so you can just rail anything that comes to the front side of either bookcase, and camp. Go for headshots. I find that pretty consistent for me.
