Essential we are going to ironically use the Parlimentarians to turn GB into an absolute government.
Generally this is difficult because the choices you are given at the end of Oliver Cromwell's life are to impliment a constituional monarchy -just english monarchy again- or remain a republic. Republics got nerfed again in 1.27 by having pretty awful absolutism montifiers. -40 for Oligarchy, -50 for Merchant, and -20 for Noble.

For this guide I am going to give you two options to optain absolute rule over England/Great Britian.
English Civil War
First one must reach the Age of Absolutism. This happens a few months after Global Trade is discovered.

Just lower your stability less than 1 and monthly progress is increased by:

1% if your legitimacy is less than 50
1% if Stability is less than 0
1% Support Ruler Dynasty is the parliment debate
1% for war exhaust is at least 5
.5% if your have the Star Chamber

Once that fires PICK THE PARLIMENTARIANS
You can not achieve your divine right over your subjects if you continue the trend of English Monarchy. You must abolish the old.

Finish off the rebels and raise your stability and the war is over.
If Cromwell has died during the event you will get to choose between going back to a English Monarchy or remaning a republic. You must -for now at least- remain a Republic.

If Cromwell is still alive just wait for him to die. Dictatorship isn't terrible for the timebeing. When he dies you get a similar event, choose Republic.
How to become an absolute monarchy
Once you become a republic choose merchant republic as your first option. You should be well over your allowed 20 stated cores. This tanks your republican tradition drastically. Keep relecting your leader until a dictatorship is formed. Keep traditional below 50 and once your dictator dies a monarchy is reastablished. But without the pesky English Monarchy being required.

Now it is tiime for a new disaster. Court and Country.
How to become an authoritative republic
If you want to create an early Totaltarian Republican era there are ways to do this.

First choose Noble Elites as a reform...I know, I know...8 years? That sucks my rulers will be mediocre for longer! Trust me...term limits will not matter soon.

Next choose eitiher Authoritarism or Republicanism Reform. I perfer Republicanism.

Now pick Sordition so your term limits will not matter. The options you get are usually decent and you can keep your Republican traditional high enough if you pick Republicanism Reform or use strenghten government after elections.

The rest of the reforms until final one do not matter as much. I recommend avoiding Parliment for now because you lose absolutism when a seat is appointed.

Once you reach the final reform select Strengthen Executive Powers for a +25 Max Absolutism.
Court and Country- Monarchy Edition
This event is very important for Republics especially.

Usually England has
65 Base Absolutism
+10 at 100 Legitimacy
+5 Religious Unity
+5 Royal Decree reform
+5 Political Absolutism reform
+5 at Empire Rank
+5 Great Power Rank
+5 Golden Era (if you save it and use it right before Age of Abolutism hits or use it during age of Absolutsm somehow)
-30 English Monarchy

This caps them at 70 (75 with Golden Era)...which is okay. However this puts them in a sticky situation because in order to get the full +20 Max Absolutism you need to end the event with 65 Absolutism. The disaster lowers your max absolutism for the duration by 20.

This means with English Monarchy the best you can do is have 55 absolutism. You still get +10 max absolutism at the end of the event, so you will have a max of 80 Absolutism for the rest of the game...which is really nice still, but you aren't as strong as you could be.

Without English Monarchy you're looking at 100 Absoluism without the event. I still recommend the event because you can maintain 100 absolutism if you are below religious unity, below 100 legitimacy, or decide to take different reforms.

Regardless...if you got rid of English Monarchy you're golden.
Court and Country- Republican Edition
With our fully upgraded Republic we will have....

Base 65 Absolutism
+5 Religious Unity
+5 Empire Rank
+5 Great Power
+5 Golden Era
+25 Strenghten Executive Power
-20 Noble Elite

Putting us at 85(90) max absolutism. Which is just enough to pull off having 65 absolutism at the end of Court and Country. And with 105/100 absolutism we don't even need to worry about losing absolutism when religious unity drops.

So yay...you have 100 Absolutism with a Republic. Your leader is a dictator of life, but hey, what did you expect would happen if you had a totaltarian republican running your nation.

You can change to a Oligarchy and have Consolate Power now and still have near max absolutism (95) if you wish. If you're fine with 85 absolutism you can even have frequent elections, but that requires an additonal 10 curruption because you can't switch straight from Sordition.
Thanks!
This was fun to come up with and I have not seen anyone talking about how to get 100 Absolutism with England or with Republics so I hope it helps!

There are a lot of youtube videos about how to manage the Court and Counry disaster so if you need more help navigating that, I can't recommend more watching one of those videos.

Hope this helps.

With Dharma it does not change your government at all if you side with the monarchy.
