Opis
Quick note: I've renamed my earlier Roon class CA to Hindenburg as I probably should have from the start. I've done some updates and Hindenburg is now a proper replica of the Tier 10 WOWS cruiser.

Heavy Cruiser Roon, designed in 1934 and built in 1936.

Designed with a displacement of approximately 10,000 tonnes as to comply with the Washington Naval Treaty, the Roon class was a atypical of the interwar era. Armed with a 4x4 20.3cm main battery layout, she set the precedent for all following heavy cruisers. The armor of the class consisted of 10cms of belt armor along with 3cm citadel slopes. Maximum speed was approximately 31 knots in a light sea. Her cruising range was 10,000 nautical miles at 18 knots, typical for a ship of this type. The design limited torpedo protection in exchange for good above-water protection and powerful armament. Overall, the group had an average speed for its class. After the 1938, the restrictions on displacement became irrelevant and she received new 12.8cm single AA guns to replace the single 10.5cm mounts (which were considered underpowered due to low their numbers; only eight total). The also ship received atypical radar and anti-aircraft upgrades during the war. A relatively large number of these ships were eventually constructed, 8 of the class being built before the rest of the order was reordered as the Admiral Hipper class in 1938. Pictured in 1945 layout.

12 ships were ordered between 1934 and 1938, eight were completed:
Roon (SK-6)
Derflinger (SK-7)
Yorck (SK-8)
Goeben (SK-9)
Prinz Heinrich (SK-10)
Souchon (SK-11)
Müller (SK-12)
Tegetthoff (SK-14)
