Tier list v1 (outdated)
The first (non) official tier list of the Chess Cubed pieces for standard settings.
Explanation
S+
The bishop is S+ because you can check your enemy from like everywhere. Also when your bishop is at the bottom of the cube, he is well protected, while he can force a check.

S
The queen is S because she has the same benefits like the bishop, but the queen looks stronger and probaly get captured befoore the bishop. Also she has a easier move set so it could happen you accidentally put her on a dangerous square.

A
When the pawns are spread about the board, you can easy assassinate an enemy figure by turning one side and attaking. This costs 2 Energy and if you have 3 there are much more dangerous. Also they can travel 2 squares.

B+
The rook is good in mid game, because he can move very far and is good to capture enemy pieces.

B
The Knight is very valuable in the early game to force a check, but later on It is not that grade due to his lag of movement. Every piece can travel far and good except for the Knight. For three energy you could play pawn wich is probably more efficent.

C
The King is just there to die. You cant do much with him. But he is the hero we need.
S+ IS GONE!!
Tier list v2 (outdated)
The second (non) official tier list of the Chess Cubed pieces for standard settings.
Explanation
What has changed since the last Tier List
The Cost of the Knight was lowered to 1 Energy

S
The bishop is still pretty good in checking your enemy's king with his great movement. Also there are 2 of them.
The queen is like the bishop but with an even better movement. It turned out that she is pretty valuable in the late-endgame when only few pieces are on the (battle)field.
The knight is after the buff an actual unit. For the cost of 1 Energy it has a great movement and is still pretty useful while unsing only 2 Energy.

A+
The pawn can still assassinate enemy pieces with 2 or 3 Energy also you can upgrade him relatively easy to a queen or knight by rotating the cube right. Also you have 8 of these little warriors.

B
The rook. It dropped to B because of the rise of the knight and pawn. Compared to them he is not really anymore a B+ but castling is still a good option for 1 Energy

C
He is left for dead, but still the Hero we need.

Tier list III
The third (non) official tier list of the Chess Cubed pieces for standard settings.
Things has changed in comparisan to the last tier lists.
Overall all Pieces are pretty balanced.
But there are still differences when it comes to the early- mid- and end- game.

Early Game
The Early Game is measured in how well the pieces can put the enemy under pressure or assasinate strong pieces.

Explanation
S
The Knight can easy assassinate other strong pieces

A
The Pawn has an high kill potencial with a rotation
The Rook can encirlce the enemy King preventing him fromm surviving easy.

B+
The Bishop can opress the enemy King

B
The Queen is also able to opress the enemy King, but probably get targetet, because it's the Queen.
Mid Game
The Mid Game is measured in how well the pieces can check mate or how well they can drain the enemy's King Hp to 0.

Explanation
S
The Rook can eliminate lines for the enemy king, restricting him in movement wich can cause an fast checkmate
The Bishop can check the king relativ safe and easy

A
The Pawn can easily check and capture dangerous pieces, but only when rotation is available. It also can be promoted to new pieces viable for the end or mid game.
The Knight has also the ability capture dangerous pieces and make easy checks, but is also only with rotation very viable
The Queen has the abilitys like the rook and the bishop but you only have one of her. Also it's the queen so she probably get targhittet
End Game
The End Game starts when there are only a few pieces left
It is measured in how well the pieces can capture the remaining pieces or how well they can drain the enemys king to 0 HP when he is aleready low
Explanation
S+
The Queen has a great movement and with rotations she can nearly capture any piece on the board

S
The Pawns are able to be promoted to Queens, wich is verly likely considering that the board is pretty mixed up.

B+
The Rook and the bishop have both very ristricetd movement and are unlikely to capture any pieces without rotation.

B
The Knight has even with rotations a very restricted moveset. Very unlikely to capture any pieces.
