Wolf Watch Overlook: House and much more!

Description
PLEASE COME BACK AND VOTE AFTER INSTALL :)

Originally an Imperial fort named Castra Praetoria, it once served as an outpost to resupply troops fighting the Madmen of the Reach. Shortly after The Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion began, the fort was abandoned and left unoccupied for several years. Once Ulfric Stormcloak ousted the Forsworn from the Reach in 4E 176, Castra Praetoria was retaken by an obscure Imperial lord and curiously renamed Wolf Watch Overlook. The lord held the keep in secret until vanishing two decades later just as mysteriously as he arrived, leaving no record of who he was or where he went.

I will leave how the keep came under your control entirely up to your imagination (as well as how you have employed the various NPCs).

If you like what you see, please give the thumbs up. Also, feel free to make comments or suggestions below. You might inspire me to add something. :)

Wolf Run Overlook is a lakeside Imperial-style Keep located near Half-Moon Mill. It includes:
- Lavish home WITH SECRET PASSAGE IN BASEMENT BEHIND A SLIDING BOOKCASE
- Complete forge with smelter
- 2 Merchants with unique Spells & Items for sale (updated periodically)
- Guards to patrol the roads, guard towers and guardhouse
- Inn/Tavern WITH WORKING BARD
- Shrine
- Armory that includes mannequins, display cases, plenty of chests, weapon racks, and a guard to keep it all safe
- Enchanting & Alchemy Tables with plenty of storage space
- Archery range and combat dummies
- 9 NPCs and more to come
- High tower with great views and giant bonfire
- Water feature
- Fast-travel accessible

The map marker takes you just outside the main complex and you will find most of what you need (storage, enchanting, alchemy, shrine) in the outbuilding to the left. The main courtyard has a smithy, archery range, and home.

I tried to make this mod aesthetically pleasing but also easy to navigate. That’s why I placed all the crafting & storage items in the same general location and left the house for pure RPG flavor. I appreciate everyone’s positive feedback as well as constructive criticism. I’m happy that so many people are getting enjoyment out of this mod and I will continue to make improvements for you all.

Unique Spells sold at Hocus Potions:
Magma Bolt, Bound Bow of Thunderbolts, Summon Dire Wolf, Summon Glacial Fox.

Background for Some of the NPCs:
--Erik Van Rosen (Follower)
The third son of a minor Imperial Family of Cyrodill. He split his childhood between fencing lessons and the family library. He longed to explore its frontiers and delve into ancient Dwemer ruins. Once he came of age, he struck out to find adventure, and was certain that he could uncover the answers to all of the mysteries of Tamriel’s past. After gaining the reputation of a competent explorer and author, Erik decided to set out for Skyrim. He initially stayed at the Bards College, but has developed a certain fondness for Wolf Watch Overlook and has recently purchased property across from the inn.
--Quintus
He was once a member of the Imperial Legion before his role as protector of the lands around Wolf Watch. While serving in a campaign in the Great War, his unit was ambushed and overwhelmed by an Aldmeri warband. Badly wounded but alive, Quintus was the sole survivor of the attack. He soon left the Legion and made a living where he could. The two of you met years ago when you inadvertently saved him from a bandit prison. He has felt indebted to you ever since; pledging his service to you and your lands.
He will sleep/eat/etc in his lodge on the hill just outside of your keep. During the early morning and late afternoon you will find him hunting and patrolling the grounds - keeping food on your table and your land free from bandits. In the mid-afternoon you may find him at the target range behind his house, honing his skills.
For all you rangers that like to hunt with Quintus, there is a room is his lodge just for you as well - down the hall on the right.
--Imogen the Fair
Don't let her appearance fool you. Imogen is a former court wizard to the Jarl of Winterhold and is renowned for her skill in the school of destruction. She left her post amid a scandal of which she will say very little. She has settled in your keep and has agreed to protect the treasures you collect on your travels. In return, all she asks is to make use of your laboratory to further her research.
--Isleen
Isleen never felt that she belonged in the Forsworn community she was born into. Although she is of mixed parentage, she has always felt more Nord than Breton. Her skepticism regarding Forsworn practices (like worship of Hagravens) eventually led to outright opposition. Fearing for her life, Isleen fled her home and took to the road. She eventually came upon Wolf Run Overlook where you graciously agreed to take her in. She regularly tends to your stables and stands guard over the roads approaching your keep. However, you feel that her constant vigilance has less to do with your safety and more to do with her own. Isleen keeps irregular hours and sleeps in the late morning. During the evening she patrols the grounds around the stable/tower. At night, she can be found on top of her tower keeping a watchful eye on the roads.
--Wintergreen
Wintergreen the Tailor, as he is sometimes called, is a merchant that has set up shop along the road that passes through your lands. He doesn’t talk much about his past, but from what you can piece together he seems to have once been a member of an adventuring party in Cyrodil. One particularly interesting story claims that Wintergreen used to travel with a Dwemer ballista strapped to his back. The impossibility of such a feat makes the rumor unlikely…
--Pythias
Pythias once served as a member of the Emperor’s personal security force, the Penitus Oculatus. Depending on who you ask, he was known for having an acute sense of honor or a predisposition towards extreme violence. These might both be true, since they’re not mutually exclusive in Skyrim. For reasons unknown, he left the Emperor’s service and found his way into yours. He keeps a room at the Wolfwatch Inn and can be found patrolling the road to Morthal during the day.
--Aldous Legion
Aldous Legion is a member of the Synod, one of the organizations formed after the dissolution of the Mages Guild. Specifically, he is a member of a division referred to as the Binder’s Conclave. You have gathered that he specializes in the school of alteration but has an affinity for the school of Conjuration as well. What is unclear is why he has come to Skyrim. His evening trips into the east to explore Dwemer ruins give little indication of purpose.
Recently, Aldous has been experimenting with magic that permanently augments the power of his constructs. To fund these experiments, he sells magical sundries from a tower on the borders of your land.
--Pius Caconymous
Pius was once a servant to Titus Mede II. One day the Emperor overheard Pius make an obscene remark about the princess, so he ordered the guards to put out Pius’ eyes and banish him from Cyrodiil. Blind and homeless, but too proud to beg, Pius resorted to a life of crime in Skyrim. He spent several successful years within the Thieves’ Guild but now operates independently. Whether through natural means or a magical artifact, he has developed a preternatural ability to navigate through his surroundings despite his loss of sight. He currently keeps a room on your lands at the Wolfwatch Inn but is smart enough to ply his trade elsewhere. He can be found in the town of Riverwood as the sun sets.

Known Bugs/Issues (These are ones that I have been able to verify myself)
- NPCs have difficulty manuevering beyond the doors to the inner keep. All other areas seem to work fine.

1 of the best "texture" mods thats lore friendly and works nicely in the landscape. i say "texture" as it adds depth to the game as well as a great player home. in short this is an essential mod that adds flesh to skyrims bones and without it the game feels empty. a solid 10 out of 10

crash to desktop when using this mod. looking through the comments, it sounds like its a hearthfire conflict.

Great mod but why are all the NPCs so grouchy? Some of these guys have great loot in their homes that I'd love to borrow if only they'd make me their friend... I would love more lore too or at least some answers. I'd hate to be the Companion's harbinger and then suddenly find out they're all those Silver hand guys. Is Erik marryable? oh, and is there a way into the Dwemer ruin near the corner of Falkreath highway and Lakeview boulevard (my names only)? I've climbed all over the sucker with no luck! boo! Keep up the good work, two thumbs way up!!

Wintergreen is actually based on a D&D character that a friend played when we were kids. He carried a ballista around on his back - which was admittedly ridiculous. ;)

i feel like wintergreen is a dwemer.................becuase who else can carry a dwemer bastila without breaking it.......if the rumor is true

The guards dont need to be hired. They are already patrolling the area. Also, their outfits cannot be altered in game.

@exodus1916 could you change your guards outfits and weapons at your fort? And how many guards are there?
CaptainSkavanos May 1, 2016 @ 1:58pm
Hey is it possible for you to release a version of this mod without the extra lodge it clips with one of the mods I have instaled.
elliottchristman99 Apr 26, 2016 @ 11:55am
@exodus1916 do you hire your own guards?
elliottchristman99 Apr 25, 2016 @ 6:34am
Wait, so you hire the guards? Or how does the guard thing work. I would love a fort that I can control.
