"Play It Again Sam" Achievement Guide

A quick guide on how to get this secret achievement!

A few words.

Hello! This is a guide on how to get the secret "Play It Again Sam" achievement in Monaco!

Some people say that this is the hardest achievement in the game, since you have to play a song that lasts around a minute on a piano with 3 players without anyone who is playing it dying.

Well, i figured out a VERY easy way to get this!

What you'll need:

- Play the map "Manoir Moucharder", this is the mansion map in the Locksmith's story.

- Play with 3-4 people (I don't know if the fourth player who isn't playing the piano gets it, can anyone comfirm this?)

- Someone HAS to play as the Cleaner, the other players can play as any character, rescuing the Gentleman before doing this may or may not help.

- Make sure to grab the bandages in the beginning and a few coins so that you can still survive getting detected, you can still get the achievement if you use a bandage in the middle of the song.

Getting the achievement.

Now, when you're ready, start the map and enter the mansion like this:


There will be a guard who is "playing" the piano there, now here's the real advice:

Make the Cleaner stand on top (i suppose?) of the guard so he constantly cleans him, while the other two people stand on the sides of him, see what i mean here:


And here's the tricky part, i recommend using a headset for this, everyone has to start playing the piano
(you do this by simply walking into it, make sure to not let go of the key beacuse then you will stop playing!)
at the SAME TIME, you then have to play until the the song becomes quiet, then everyone has to leave the piano at the SAME TIME, however, when i did this i got it when the song became quiet, while others said that they didn't get it if they didn't leave the piano at the same time.

That is all!

I just get the achievement, and can confirm that:
> All 3 players need to start at the same time. The characters animation of playing the piano will stop automatically at some point, and by this time you should have the achievement. If not, the timing is wrong and redo it.
> No need to take care when to stop, only the start timing.
> Play on all directions (left, middle, and right) is necessary.

Here is a secret found by nimsraw, really helpful!

Piano's keyboard has 3 parts (left, middle and right), and every part plays different music. Make sure your crew are playing every part, otherwise you can't get the achievement.

BTW, I got the achievement in the middle of the song while we were playing every part together.

ps. My crew include AJ, nimsraw and me. Thanks them for taking time with me! Especially nimsraw, who was playing at about 4 a.m. in the moring lol

Just so you know, you DO NOT have to leave the piano at the same time as everyone else.

The achievement is awarded when the piano starts to play itself. If the achievement isnt awarded at that moment, something went wrong with your timing or someone stopped playing early.

You're right, but all the teams I joined didn't know what to do to get the achievement or they didn't care. In my map, only people that wanted it joined and it was easier to tell them what to do.

Tips: You can use the in-game clock to coordinate with your team (pressing Ctrl).
Two players can play from the sides of the piano (not the keyboard part) to avoid playing the same part as the player in the middle.

Another helpful hint for those struggling with this one: Even if you have a mic, sync your playing to the game timer instead. I found that trying to use the mic was still hard to coordinate, but my group got it on the first try after we used the timer!
