A quick and concise guide on the best ways I have found to farm Bloodpoints as both Killer and Survivor.

Introduction

Most of what is in this guide should be common sense to most veterans to the game and so I will be wording this guide as if for a newbie who needs some help getting bloodpoints quickly to be more competitive in the game.

I am also including links to the wiki at the heading for each Perk, Killer, Survivor, or any other item referenced that people may not be aware of how works. Please use them to clarify anything you are not understanding.
Killer Farming

First off is whether or not you have the Leatherface DLC. If you do not then you are missing out on the best farming perk killers have access to:

Barbecue and Chili[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk not only helps locate survivors but gives a free 60%/80%/100% buff to all bloodpoint gains after the match if you hook all four survivors at least once.

If you do not have access to this perk then you will have to settle on a more limited farming. The other perks needed can be obtained by ANY Killer from the base game.

Distressing[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk gives a 50%/75%/100% bonus to bloodpoint gains in the Deviousness[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] category.

Thrill of the Hunt[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk has a number of tokens equal to the number of totems, both dull and hex totems, on the map. It gives a bonus to bloodpoint gains in the Hunter[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] category by 6%/8%/10% per totem or 30%/40%/50% max with all 5 totems based on the level of the perk.

The downside to this setup is with Distressing[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] as it increases your Terror Radius and some Killers do not benefit from this as much as others while others can actually negate the negatives with their abilities.

If you do have the Leatherface DLC, then farming with The Cannibal[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] is your best bet until you unlock Barbecue and Chili at level 35. Even then you should continue to farm with him until you can get a better farming Killer with level 2 in the perk.

If you do not have the DLC then simply select one of the Killers you want to use for farming. Personally I enjoy using The Doctor[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]. He benefits the most by the increased terror radius of Distressing[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] as his static field influences at longer range then. Other decent picks are:

The Trapper[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]Using his traps to keep his distance and with several add-ons he possesses to make them harder to see or even self setting he can bypass the increase to terror radius to a degree.

The Shape[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]With the lowest terror radius of any killer in Evil Within level 1 and several add-ons that influence his Terror Radius and his ability to get into and out of Evil Within levels The increased Terror Radius is little concern to him.

The Nightmare[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]Being invisible at all times and his terror radius mostly hidden except when survivors are asleep. The increase is of little concern to him.

The Wraith[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]Negating his terror radius through his stealth ability he can easily traverse the map without giving too much warning and also the increased range can help spook people from farther distances as he goes in and out of stealth.

The Pig[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]She benefits in much the same way The Wraith[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] does. When crouched her Terror Radius disappears.

The other Killers have ways to circumvent the issue but not as well as the ones listed so I am going to list the best options for new players.

Now all characters in the game have access to four perk slots when leveled to 15 meaning that we have 1-2 perk slots free. If you do have the Leatherface DLC then I suggest the following perks to fill your fourth slot:

Hex:Ruin[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk is the quintessential best killer perk available. Its ability to prevent generator rushing from the Survivors is essential for high level play. Sadly it is only available from the Of Flesh and Mud DLC as a teachable perk of The Hag[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]. With Thrill of the Hunt being a standard on the farming build this perk is a great addition to insure you can more easily get all four survivors hooked at least once before the end of the match to proc the full benefit of Barbecue and Chili.

Hex:No One Escapes Death[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk insures that even should the Survivors get the exit doors powered you have a chance to get any survivors you may have missed throughout the game. But only if you have level three of this perk. But unlike Ruin, this perk can be unlocked by any killer without additional DLC.

For those who do not have the Leatherface DLC then I suggest the two perks above. However one is also behind a paid DLC so I will list some other options now. First the Non-teachable Perk Options.

Bitter Murmur[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
Is a decent substitute for Barbecue and Chili in the tracking department and paired with No One Escapes Death(NOED) can quickly be oppressive to play against because each generator completed reveals them and gives NOED a chance to activate.

Insidious[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
Gives a chance to negate the downsides of running Distressing but also allows for some fun ambush play with Killers that don't usually allow for that style.

Whispers[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk is tricky to use but masters of it tend to be very effective. I would not suggest this perk to most newbies but its one perk that you can't actually learn without using it.

Now onto the Teachable perk options that are available with the base game or with FREE DLC.

Hex:Huntress Lullaby[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
With Thrill of the Hunt helping keep your Hex Totems safe this perk can be very unforgiving to Survivors who ignore Totems and aren't paying super close attention for skill checks relying heavily on the check sound so they can better keep an eye out as they work on a generator or the like.

Tinkerer[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This perk is absolutely amazing since it removes your Terror Radius for 12 seconds each time a Generator is completed put to 85%. Paired with Bitter Murmur it can be nearly impossible for Survivors to escape.

Unnerving Presence[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
Bigger Terror Radius from Distressing makes this perk more effective and a bigger nightmare to Survivors.

Survivor Farming

Honestly the best farming is done with Killers but there are a few options with Survivor and none of them require paid DLC like the Killer Farming.

We're Gonna Live Forever[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
This is a must have perk if you are going to farm bloodpoints as Survivor. Its a Teachable perk of David King[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] His first unlocked at level 30. It makes rescuing or taking hits for others grant a 25% bonus to all bloodpoints that maxes out at 50%/75%/100% depending on level. Max level, save or take a hit for another survivor 4 times and you get a decent bonus to Bloodpoints.

No One Left Behind[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com]
A perk that gives 50%/75%/100% bonus to Altruism[deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com] Actions but only once the Exit Gates are powered. This means you want to be the last one out in case you can save or heal someone before leaving.

After that the perk choice is up to the player. There are several perks that would make you better at stealth so you can survive to the end game or find hurt players and heal them easier but it honestly depends on the player with how they want to run their farming build and there are so many options that it would take far too long to list them all.
Conclusion
On Average playing The Doctor with Distressing, Thrill of the Hunt, Barbecue and Chili, and No One Escapes Death I get 40-60k Bloodpoints when I fully sacrifice at least 2 or more Survivors and 20k at least if I can hook all 4 survivors once at least.

I have yet to get the required perks for Survivor to test how much I get a match and will update this section when I do.

I hope people find this guide useful in gaining bloodpoints and becoming better Dead By Daylight players.

@HappyRouge Thank you for the feedback!

@StyleSheet While that gets you a lot of BP, consistently unhooking survivors while unsafe lends to people not enjoying the game. If we want this game to last we need to start being mindful of how we as individuals are affecting the gameplay of both veteran and newbie players.

@maddie Why? BP is the only way to unlock teachable perks and getting the best gear and add-ons. New players need a way to get BP fast and in a hurry to better compete with players who have like Prestige 3-50 on every character.

@Jovah That is a good suggestion but there is also being stealthy and following the killer to better be prepared for helping another, objective focused to get to the end game quicker, Saboteur focused to give others a better chance to wiggle free, the survivor options outside of those two perks is honestly endless and comes down to the player's preferred play style more than best ways to get BP.

@b1pp1dy_b0p I do apologize for the inaccuracy. I will fix that.

@A wild Solo You don't have to be Altruistic at the start and NOLB helps get Altruism maxed. WGLF applies a bonus at the end of the game not during, while NOLB helps get at least one category at the 8000 BP limit.

@D.j.l.lewis Thanks for the feed back that is true but I think offerings are covered well enough in game for even the newest of players to pick up on it so I decided not to mention them.

@vortex1096 While that is a good way to get BP I wanted a guide for non-event specific BP farming

Tinkerer doesnt remove your terror radius once a gen is completed, it removes your radius once a gen hits 85%
Gyro Sep 1, 2018 @ 8:15am
NOLB is terrible. You're already altruistic at the start so those points at the end are going to waste.
