"I wanted to make cuphead look as old fashiened as the game itself. The art was heavily inspired by one of the artworks from the 20's or 30's of nouveau art. A decorative floral kind of detail. This one I made it look simple and authentic!"

'Welcome and thanks for sharing your work. It's really fun to see so much effort and virtuosity put into new subjects utilizing elements of older artistic styles.

I had forgotten his name, but after doing some searching I recognized many of his works from previous artistic studies in college. A friend of mine actually had a reproduction poster of his work: "Dance, 1898" hung in her home. I love the dynamic and autumnal aspects of that piece.

Keep up the good work and I hope you continue to share your talents.

@Buffmania: Thank you! I really apprieciate your insight! I spent a few days making the details of the clothing simialer as the few paintings by Alphonse Mucha. Not the most known name however, you'll recognize the art style when you search his name. ^^

Excellent work. The background medallions and flowing lines of the characters' cup contents firmly place the piece in the nouveau style. Especially your OC's skirts. I really like how your selection of lighting and shading treatments make it look as if it is done in painted stained glas; an especially fitting medium for nouveau.
