How to replace your model in pac 3

A guide to replacing you player model in pac

Intro

Hello this is a guide on how to replace your model in pac editor.
This was requested to help people new at pac.

Step 1

First off go ahead and open pac editor by holding c and clicking its icon. Once you have done that you will see a menu like this.

Step 2

Before adding the new model you will want to hide the old one. to do so right click the group already on the menu called my outfit and select entity.

once you have done that there will be a bunch of things you can edit
To hide your model check the box for hide entity and you should vanish

Step 3

Now its time to add the new model. Right click the white space and make a new group.

Now right click on the group you just made and select model.

Step 4

On the list of things you can change go ahead and check the box called bone merge it is very important.

Now go to where the list says model and click the 3 dots next to it. a menu similar to the spawn menu should appear.

Go to the bottom of the new menu and click addons this is where you will be trying to get a model from if the model isnt from vanilla gmod. Now search through the addons list for the model you want (make sure you get a model with a skeleton which most playermodels should have) once you have the model you want click on it.

At this point you should be good to go if your model works. Dont forget to go to file and save it.

Thats just how pac3 is.

ive changed model but when i die i still use old model while changed model stand still

Then it likely won't work very well. There is not an easy fix to that as far as I know

They have different skeletons

I mean that depends on if they use the same skeleton. Most use valve biped but if your default model is different you may encounter issues.
