MMX8 Full Undub (Japanese voices with English/other text)

A .bat file together with an archive extractor/repacker that automatically does the file copying and renaming to make it so that you can play the game with Japanese voices but English or any other language (untested on non-english but should work)

Step 1

You will need this tool

Step 2

Next you will need the batch file I've created:

Click the "raw" button and save it as Frackdubs.bat
(or whatever, only the file extension is important :D )

Step 3

Place the .bat file and both .exe files (ARCtool.exe and DDDATool.exe from the downloaded tool)
in a folder called UndubX8 (this name is important) in the root of the game

"\Steam\steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2\UndubX8"

Step 4

Run the .bat file and let it work it's magic!
This should only take a minute or two, depending on your hardware 'n such.

After it is done (it lets you know) just run the game and select any of the versions!
(only tested with English (US) version but all should be fine)

I discovered that on my PC for the .bat to work I just needed to open it regularly. For some reason opening it as admin. made it not work. Might consider it for those who it doesnt work as instructed.

Oh, I didn't know that. In that case yeah, you will need to replace the english voice files with the japanese voice files. =/

@ Kaed✩Wolf Oh yeah I saw that. I was just asking because the US version has the weapons do 1/3rd of the damage of the other versions but none of the other versions have JP voices and English text. So I was looking into adding English text to the Japanese version or Japanese voices into the European version…maybe adjust the weapon damage of the US version??
Not too important I know, but if it’s possible it’d be nice to have the 3 in one package

On this collection, MMX7 already has the option to play with English or Japanese dubbing. :D Just go to Options, Sound Settings and change Voice to Japanese.

If you already started a game, and are using the Continue option, you will need to acess Options from the stage selection screen and then change it.
