Sonic Mania Plus special stages

In Sonic Mania Plus, the special stages for encore mode are different from the original ones, but there is a method that can be used to make them really easy!

Introdution

The special stages in encore mode are much harder than the original ones in mania mode. I know I had trouble with them, Until i found out a method to make them much easier. It might end up patched, but at the moment, it works just fine.

Method

When I was playing through encore mode, I had been trying to switch characters and entered the special stage. Not really caring that much, i continued to push the "Y" button on my controller, and before I knew it, I was going Mach 3 and racking up Mach bonuses. Turns out, pushing the "Y" button on the steam controller will completely fill up the mach gauge, even giving you tons of mach bonuses.

still unpatched and that is how i got 100% but i think it is an easter egg and wont be patched

The thing is that the exploit is sure to be patched ASAP. If its patched it makes this guide obsolete
