Secrets Secrets Everywhere but Where do i look?

Ever reach the end of a gunship and realise out of the 20 or so secrets in the level you somehow managed to find only one or two?
Well this guide should get you on your way to sniffing out these secret compartments and making your runs a little more manageable.

First off is where to look, secrets can be anywhere along a blank section of wall, where they appear on that wall is up to the level generator, they could be level with the floor or tucked high up into the ceiling. It should be noted that secrets may appear on walls with angled surfaces or behind wall protrusions like support struts or wall panels.

It should also be noted that what the level generator defines as a blank section of wall depends on the tileset.
In the Foundry set most walls will be flat and featureless thus leaving a lot of space open for possible secrets.
In the Neon set walls with complex patterns and potrusions but otherwise uniform appearance with the walls around it.
In the Mothergunship set is much the same in that secrets can be found typically on uniform sections of wall.

With that out of the way finding these secrets should be a piece of cake for the observant as on approach the false wall will begin to shimmer revealing itself and giving the player a much needed reward of an increase to your Jump charges, max health or max energy.

If you're still having issues finding secrets there's always the secret detection upgrade in the armory, it was bugged in early development builds but has since been patched into a working state.

some runs offer like 30 secrets . so achievment is easy to get

there are mini robots hidden sometimes . they gives lot of health uprgades and coins
most secret walls are accesible with just 6-7 jumps it seems . secret wall spotting uprgade is helpfull a lot

I just 100% this game, so i gonna share couple of my observations related to secret

1. You need to face the secret wall at certain distant, cant reveal looking backward
2. Secret wall upgrade can be found by scrolling down in armory (i missed it for couple of hours)
3. You can find multiple secrets in 1 level, i found 7 secrets in large level once
4. Master your movement if you want to find all secret by :
- use pushback addon (best with fast weapon)
- rhythmically time your jump (press too fast doesnt give enough height)
- looking down and shoot while jump (depend on weapon)
5. I never found secret in boss room, but i found once in security room
6. Increase your gamma will help with dark ceiling area
7. For 15 secrets achievement, it is not too hard once you have like 3rd upgrade to secret sensor

*additionally there are some small secret critter that give you alot of upgrade, i assume this was easter eggs from previous game (Tower of Guns)

Hi. Just to say that the Secret DetectionRange buff is definitely working for me - 500% Radius really helps me see the outline of the hidden area from way across the room ... worth putting the Exp in if you can.

I haven't even seen secret detection yet. Is that closer to the end of the campaign? I wouldn't go to the trouble of explaining it but mentioning when it becomes available would be super helpful. :D
