A quick and (hopefully) easy guide to setting up your ports and how to connect to others to play Cry Of Fear Co-Op.

First one person must host, for them to be able to host they need to port foreward the following ports, 27015 and 27020.
Then you will need your external ip address which can be found by going to google and typing 'what is my ip' after you have your external ip and the ports forewarded then click host multiplayer game after that press the tile key (above TAB on most keyboards it looks like this ~) then type 'sv_lan 0' (im pretty sure this only needs to be done the first time, something about setting the game to internet instead of lan)
Then the whomever is trying to connect will also press the tile key and type 'connect<youriphere>:27015'.

I have recently been informed by the user DNR3 that you can infact change the port this game uses with the command '+port <portnumber>'.
Thank you DNR3

Hope This helped, if you have any issues feel free to add me and ill try and help you.

CURRENTLY CRY OF FEAR CO-OP SEEMS TO BE BUGGED, IF THIS DOESNT WORK RE-INSTALL YOUR GAME, IF IT STILL DOESNT WORK THEN THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO HELP YOU.

Monkey in a rage; No, If your playing LAN (Connecting through Local Wifi) than you do not need to portforward those Ports. The idea of portforwarding is like there`s a room with a HUGE amount of doors, and on your side you can unlock them, and let other players through. But only certain doors can let certain games go through them, so they need certain doors open so that both the player and game can go through. But if your playing LAN, when your on the same Wifi network, your in another room, but all the doors are already open. SAme amount of doors, just you don`t need to PortForward.
