Intro
The hunter is a pretty weak character in the early game but becomes one of the strongest in the late game. Your abilities are not amazing in the early game (high cooldowns for common and rare abilities) so you need to use them wisely. But the Hunter can become one of the strongest if not THE strongest character in the late game when you get your legendary bow and abilities.
Abilities
PASSIVE ABILITY

Hunter gains 10% Swap Speed and Reload Speed as their passive. Neither of these are super exciting since you will likely just be using your Longbow and not switching or reloading often.

HUNTER SPECIFIC ABILITIES
Hunter is a great class if you like to move around quickly, kite your enemy and pop them with your powerful Longbow and feel like Legolas from Lord of the Rings.

• Dodge Roll: Quickly roll in the direction you are moving.
One of the weaker movement abilities in the game. Good for quickly moving forward or back, but isn’t great for getting positioning on enemies.
Can be also used while riding your horse and combined with withdraw to cover a lot more ground when leaping from high mountains, and making you avoid the fall and making you lose less time if ever you’re in a hurry (running from a storm or enemies)
(Legendary: 2 second cooldown)

• Blast Shot: An explosive projectile that damages enemies in a small radius.
Quick ability that can do a chunk of damage to multiple enemies in a small blast radius. You can bait out enemies by shooting at them and hitting them with the unexpected blast.
(Legendary: lower cooldown higher damage)

• Flare: Fire a flare that reveals enemies position
Good for scoping out areas or finding someone who is hiding in a building.
(Legendary: lower cooldown and larger radius).

• Proximity Mine: A mine that explodes when enemies are near.
You can place this in doorways or places where you expect enemies to be running towards. Mostly used in early game situations, avoid for late game!
(Legendary: lower cooldown, higher damage)

• Withdraw: Leap backwards and enter stealth.
One of Hunter’s better abilities, allows you to back out and enter stealth. You can also fire your weapon while in stealth, a great tool to surprise enemies.
(Legendary: lower cooldown, and spend 4 seconds in stealth mode!)

Weapon and build
Legendary weapon

Longbow: 1,000 Damage, 2.0 Shot per second.

Requirements: you MUST kill a chicken and obtain the chicken leg. Once you have the chicken leg and 120 shards go to any forge and you will be able to craft the legendary bow (takes 60 seconds)
The Longbow is one of the best weapons in the game currently. One common misconception about it is that you need to completely charge it before you fire. You do not need to do this! You can take a quick shot that will do less damage (still in the 500 range) if you are looking to just hit someone up close. If you charge it up fully it will do the full 1,000 damage. It does have a brief travel time, but it doesn’t have drop on it. In just about every fight you can just run the bow and not switch.

Standard Build: Blast Shot, Withdraw or fllar, Blast shot
Blast Shot does a nice chunk of damage in a small area, while Withdraw gives you the ability to escape from sketchy situations. You can also still fire your weapon while in the stealth that Withdraw provides. Firing your weapon will break the stealth!

If ever you're playing passive you can use the flair and withdraw abilities to see where people are hiding, or when walking around corners
Hunter tips
Here are some general tips that should help you get better with the hunter class.
• Use your Dodge Roll as often as possible, this is your bread and butter in the late game, to avoid as many shots and abilities as possible.
• Blast Shot can be used to hit lots of people at once and hit people behind the cover.
• Flare should be used when you’re either rushing a building/forge and want to know where the enemy is or if you’re inside the building and hear people outside and want to locate them.
• Proximity Mine is usually placed at the entrance of buildings or areas where enemies can walk through and alert you of their presence.
• Withdraw is a must have ability in the late game. If you are able to have it as a legendary ability (crafted in a forge), you will be able to remain in stealth for 3-4 seconds and relocate to another location or simply trick the enemy and shoot your bow at them without them seeing you.
• When you are using the legendary bow, you must remember to use it like Nobutada (The last samurai scene where he is mortally wounded and must allow the emperor and Tom cruise escape and shoot arrows at the incoming imperial forces by peeking from behind a tree. Yes I love that movie.)
You must charge your bow behind the cover and only shoot it once it’s fully charged so that the arrow will go exactly where you want it to go and hit at max damage.
Early game
As soon as you land near a building, preferably right outside the entrance of the building, press Dodge roll right away to cover ground faster and get to your first weapon faster than your enemies. Once you clear your first building and get your first abilities time to get some kills and most importantly the chicken leg.
Very important: the weapons you do not use you have destroy them and get the shards which will give you more shards and your enemies will not be able to have those weapons or abilities! If you are playing in duos/squads make sure to ask your friends if they need it before discarding it.
As for the abilities you should have in the early game, I would suggest the abilities the damage the opponents like the proximity mine and the blast shot, since enemies don’t have too much health at this stage and you probably don’t have high damage weapons either.
If you’re fighting inside a house, you want to lure the enemies in and place your mines at the entrance of the building (where they wouldn’t see it). If you also have the blast shot that’s already 500-600 damage to the enemy, add another 2 shotgun shots and you got your first chicken leg!
If ever you’re fighting outside, remain behind objects and if you’re fighting someone who is running straight towards just keep peeking from your box and shoot your enemies for easy kills. If they are also hiding like you then you got the perfect combination for this: use your mine on one side of their hiding spot (rock/tree/box) and you can shoot your blast shot on the other side of it to try to lure them in your trap. Also you can change position quickly with your dodge roll if you see a more suitable cover.
At this point you already have 200 shards and are ready to craft your legendary weapon! Head to the nearest forge and craft your bow and a piece of armor. But everything isn’t that simple. Once you are using the forge there is smoke coming out from the roof, letting people know that you’re using it. Also, there are a lot more people in the game who have the same idea as you and will be heading to the forge to get their legendary items as well, so you have two options.
1) Hide inside the building and have your traps setup in the entrances and kill them once they come in, or
2) Go to another building and once the item forges you can creep back in and land some easy headshots and kill them when they don’t expect it.
Mid game
By now you should already have crafted your legendary bow and first piece of armor (60 shards), but the grind doesn’t stop here just yet! There’s lots more grinding to do!
I would recommend getting withdraw and blast shot/flare as your abilities for late/mid game. Remember to always place them at the same hotkeys so that you don’t mess up your keys.
What you need to do now is clear the locations of all the loot and gather even more shards if possible and head to the next forge to craft your next piece of armor (remember, you can only craft one spell/armor piece per forge!)
While riding your horse to the next forge remember to constantly jump and change directions a bit so that you won’t get sniped on the way there.
Now if you encounter enemies you will need use your dodge roll ability a lot to keep moving away from your enemy and sniping him with your bow. Also you can use your withdraw to go in stealth and change locations or shoot at your enemies when they least expect it. Use blast shot in between your arrow shots!
The most important for you is to always find a good spot where to fight, with lots of covers like trees and rocks. Fighting in the open with no cover will be a bit harder for you, but still manageable with a legendary withdraw and dodge roll.
By now you should already have visited 2-3 forges and if you killed a good player, you could have probably looted the legendary armor you needed and you are now fully equipped and ready to get your first win!
Late game:
The late game is when 3 circles have closed in and there’s 10-15 people left. You have two options here. Being passive or aggressive.
If you are playing the passive playstyle, you are moving with the circle and making sure no one shoots you from behind. You have a bow and blast shot if ever you see people far away. If you kill someone far away and he becomes a chicken, I do not recommend losing a good spot in order to kill the chicken since you are already fully equipped and don’t really need the loot (unless you’re low on potions).
Keep following the circle. If you hear two people fighting, this is what you need! You want to be able to get in the fight when they’re both low on health or one of them just died. It will be an easy finish with your legendary bow.
If you are playing the aggressive playstyle, you need to have good reflexes and a really good aim for it, but you are basically not listening to anything in the last paragraph: you are running around, looking for kills, chasing and killing chickens and being an absolute superstar.
To be honest I like being an aggressive player but I am still not amazing at this so I sometimes stick with the passive playstyle so I can’t honestly tell you how to better play the aggressive playstyle.
