By Magnablocker
If you are like me, Terraria will load up slow, even though you run it very well.
Do you want to fix this? Well view this guide! If you don't, then you are just... weird.

Introduction
If you are reading this you play Terraria, just like me. And you also are probably experiencing an issue where the game can take several minutes to load, or sometimes not even load at all! This guide will tackle how to fix this issue, and let it begone from our beautiful worlds!
How I found the fix
I found this fix by looking in my task manager during the long loading time, and realized my antivirus (Mcafee) was quite active. I then looked in the settings of Mcafee, and saw something called "Real Time Scanning". I then looked into it and realized you can stop it from scanning certain files, which I expected was the culprit as it was only over-active only while the game was booting up.
How you can fix your game
If you use mcafee, follow this list:

-Open up Mcafee Livesafe

-Go to navigation

-Scroll till you see "real time scanning"

-open it

-Go the the dropdown box titled "excluded files"

-click "add file"

-go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Terraria

-select Terraria.exe

-You're done! :D

What to do if you don't use Mcafee
If you don't use mcafee, common sense should be able to carry you through, as most antivirus programs have similar features (with similar names too!).

If you find yourself confused, google it.
