The Perfect 4 | Four Fun Death Wish Builds For Every Situation
By NotEvenBeyond
There are many ways to make a fun, efficient and viable build. But there are only a few ways to make actually fun, efficient and viable build on Deathwish. There are many guides out there that focuses on builds, but you'll notice some of them use the same formula as one another. In this guide, I'll give you not just 1 build, but 4 builds to bring with you on any situation that requires going toe to toe against the army of cops that want to bring you down. I tested all these builds, and they can work REALLY WELL if you can play them right. I can almost guarantee you that you'll never see something like these builds before, and I can guarantee that you can have fun playing them. You'll see my style of writing, so let's begin

Every Class has 4 statistics that will show the majority of their total skills that effect their gameplay, each will get stars depending how good they are, 1 star means its "decent", 2 stars will mean its "good", 3 stars will mean "great" and 4 stars will mean "Excellent". These statistics will look like this

Attributes
Rank
Lethalness
★★★★ -excellent
Survivability
★★★☆ -great
Utility
★★☆☆ -good
Defensibility
★☆☆☆ -decent

  • "I don't know what much of this means"
You're probably wondering what most of these statistics are? I'll run you through em so you won't feel lost.

  • Lethalness
This determines how good you are in firefights, 1 star meaning it takes some time to take someone down to 4 stars meaning you can kill anyone in a second no matter how tough they are or how many numbers they got on their side

  • Survivability
This determines how good you are from staying alive. From health, armor or both, to getting back up from a down or keeping a good health state. Whatever there is from preventing you to going into custody and keeping you in the fight, that will be listed as "survivability" 1 star means you go down like a delicate little flower to 4 stars meaning "I AM SUPERMAN!"

  • Utility
This will determine how well you help your team out without firing a single shot, like opening doors, giving ammo, meds, picking people up, carrying bags or increasing player's damage, speed or any other stat. 1 star being, you don't do much for giving aid, to 4 stars meaning you're a swiss army knife and you can do almost anything

  • Defensibility
Seeing how most of the time you are defending something like drills, computers, power outlets, loot or anything that is needed to progress into the heist, your gonna need a good defense to keep things going good for you so you won't end up losing time, loot and even your fellow heisters from a million cops waiting outside your door. So anyone who can keep areas clean and cop free will get a high rating. 1 Star means theres a cop in every hallway, alley, room and pretty much every crack of space there is to 4 stars meaning you doing a good job keeping cops out of your important stuff and areas

  • And Always!
Take cover! Harder differculties will need you take cover in order to survive
Wilhem. The Heavy Gunner
"Killing field deployed!" -Wilhem

Wilhem is a expert with heavy weapons and armor. He does Massive amounts of damage and doesn't go down without taking heavy damage
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Role
Wilhem's role is to lay down his LMG Bipod to make a killing field that can kill large groups of enemies in so little time. He gives out lots of ammo and can cover teammates with great success. No special enemy will last long in his killing field. No bag is heavy for you, so leave the heavy lifting to Wilhem. Lay down some ammo and your LMG to keep you and your team safe from the hordes of cops trying to rush the front point!

Perk Deck: Anarchist
This is the perfect perk deck for many tank builds, you get a TON of armor but for return, less health. But you get 230 extra armor points to a total of 400 Armor, but for the loss of half your health, making you only have 115 health. But what makes this perk deck so special is that is that you regenerate 15%-25% armor in a short burst no matter what situation. Meaning if you're in a firefight, you don't have to hide behind cover for your armor to regenerate. Dealing damage to enemies will also regenerate some armor. Which can be VERY useful when staying mounted on your LMG so you don't always have to waste time waiting for your armor to regen when you can be giving great cover and breathing space. This perk deck likes to save you when you need it most. Trust me, the almighty Almir and the Payday gods will deliver you a miracle of armor just to save your life.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Weapons and Equipment
Primary: Buzzsaw 42 (A.k.a. Wilhem's Scream)
The Buzzsaw 42 I have to say is the most effective and funnest LMG for this build. Its high rate of fire makes it great for mowing groups and shields without much hassle. It does have ALOT of recoil but having a bipod will make it a laser beam in accuracy and also recoil. It may have the lowest damage for an LMG but it shines through its rate of fire. For all the other stats, they're good also. For modifications, I like the light barrel with a a bipod. Any barrel exit will work with this.

Secondary: Para Submachine Gun
Due to popular demand, Wilhem now uses an SMG instead of a pistol, which is a pretty FANTASTIC idea and is way more benefiting to you! Thank you people for the suggestion! On to the Para, it's a great SMG! It has ALOT of ammo, good damage, good accuracy and VERY high stability. It's the AMCAR's little but more successful brother. Modify it with a high bullet magazine to make it a small LMG. It's outstanding for mowing down smaller groups if your LMG isn't active. Add a barrel exit and the many upper and lower receivers to make it DEADLY! Very fun!

Armor: Improved Combined Tactical Vest
Every tank's dream armor

Throwable: Any explosive grenade
Any grenade will do for this, as long as it can explode, it can do the job.

Equipment: Ammo Bag
Wilhem will be equiped with 2 maxed out large ammo bags. Deploy it at a defendable area or put it down when you or your team need it most

"I'm the man that will give out ammo, so we don't end up empty at the worst possible time. Without a good ammo supply. You might as well use sticks and stones."
-Wilhem

Note: Any LMG will do good for this build, if you want more ammo and good rate of fire but less damage, get the KSP. If you want high damage for instant kills for less ammo, get the Brenner 21 or the RPK. The list goes on. The same goes for any pistol, use the Deagle, the Parabellums or anything that has higher damage then 120.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Without DLC
If you dont have one of any of these DLC, don't worry, I got you covered!

Perkdeck: Armorer
Acts almost exacty like Anarchist but with less armor and more health and all together fast armor regeneration.

Primary LMG: KSP 58 Light Machine Gun
It's a free LMG that acts almost as the Other KPS, it is still VERY effective for Wilhem's role

The rest is all base game items.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Tips and Tricks
1) Wilhem's skills and perk deck will make him regenerate ALOT of armor midfight! Getting headshots can generate around 25-55 armor with all your skills combined

2) Don't be afraid to throw your grenades, you can get more by picking up ammo from enemies.

3) Know when you taking too much heat, being Rambo can get you into custody.

4) Take a breather from fighting. Get into cover, reload, regenerate armor, get ammo, heal up, do whatever it takes to get you back into the fight for better odds of surviving

5) Wilhem has a 40% increased carrying capacity for carrying heavy bags, gold won't even slow him down at all. Warheads and engines will barely stop him

6) There are many good spots to deploy your LMG, the many windows in the house of day 1 of "Rats". The upper floor in the hangers on "Firestarter", or the many hallways in Hoxton Breakout. There's so many to list but whatever has a good view of enemies and you cant get flanked are all good spots to deploy

  • Thats all you need to know for Wilhem. The Heavy Gunner
Blaskov. The Breacher
"If it takes you 30 minutes to break into Fort Knox, I'll get us in at 15 - Blaskov

A ♥♥♥♥♥ who loves fire, explosives and time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Role
Blaskov's role is to breach and go through any type of security with the least amount of time. If theres a metal door, he'll blow it open with shaped charges. If there's a safe, he'll lockpick it. If theres a unbeatable barrier, he'll drill it with the fastest, quietest and much easier to repair drill until it cracks. And if non of those can't get the job done, he can always bring his trusty saw to make new routes and escapes and to get hard-to-reach loot like deposit boxes and ATMs. Oh... And he loves fire... So his Flame Thrower and his explosive incendiary C4 will do great for defense!

BBQ Pack (Not highly needed!)
Blaskov's build is all around fire. So the BBQ pack will be VERY useful and pretty fun if you have it. BUT! Don't worry I have free solutions to make him still useful and fun, but I'll be mainly focusing on his BBQ Pack weapons. I'll list the non DLC stuff down below!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enforcer
"Safety is number one priority!"
Technician
"This is where ALL the magic happens!"
Ghost

Fugitive

Perk Deck: Armorer
Armorer might be the most perfect perk deck for this build, plus its free! You get 35% extra armor, 25% faster recovery time and a 2 second invincible to your health when you lose all your armor once every 15 seconds. Blaskov has a perfect balanced between health, armor and speed, unlike Wilhem and Jest. Combining all the armor skills for armor points and recovery, you'll get a good hefty numbers of 60% faster recovery time and more then twice amount of armor(70 armor to 148 armor). Plus the invincible makes it great for running to safety, and you're gonna need to get to safety alot due to how short ranged you are. You're not exactly built like a tank but you can manage pretty good compared other ligher builds if you take cover ALOT and NEVER put yourself in a situation where you get flanked by almost every direction there is.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Weapons and Equipment
Primary: Flamethrower (A.k.a "Darling")
"Did someone leave the stove on? Or did my "Darling" just walk by?"... Sorry but "The Flames of Love" song is just too damn good. But the Flamethrower, it can be a true defense weapon. Its deadly, its fast and its just plain good. The downsides are that it has a really slow (But pretty cool) reload time, by 8.5 seconds to be exact. It has alot of ammo/fuel and has a big clip size, but it can easily be fired away in a couple of seconds. But what truely shines is the afterburn of this flamer. You don't deal alot of damage of spraying people but the afterburn is the real damage dealer. You deal 300 damage per half a second for 1.6 seconds. Leading up to 930 damage if they are on fire. You know when they're on fire when they are spazzing out and trying to extinguish themselves. The Flamethrower is great for stunning enemies in one spot making them not able to deal damage to you at all. Using this on groups is a MUST and it's outstanding for it! The flames goes through enemies, the stun effect and the high damage afterburn will make any group, even Captain Winter's group, won't last long if you manage to stay alive. I highly recommend you get the "Well Done" Magazine. You do lose a good chunk of ammo/fuel. But that higher damage will be very much need on higher differculties!
Secondary: The Judge
Ahhh... The Judge, there is many things to say about the Judge, none of those things are bad, It has very high damage, firerate, reload speed, ammo pickup and pretty much everything else. Maybe one bad thing about it is, it has pretty high recoil when firing all your shots in a quick speed, which can be hard to control but you can still control it if you try hard enough. But it's a all time perfect weapon for everyone and everything. And the best part is, it's completely free!

Armor: The Heavy Ballistic Vest
Working with explosives, fire and incoming bullets all day can be dangerous. Blaskov always makes sure he is well protected so he can keep his team well active

Throwable: Any fire grenade
There are 2 types of fire grenades, Molotov Cocktails and Incendiary grenades. They're both different but do the same outcome. I prefer Molotov cocktails but you need the BBQ pack for it, but incendiary grenades are completely free. You only get 3 Molotov cocktails and they deal 1500 damage if enemies are set on fire for 6 seconds, the range of the fire is pretty big and will last for about 10 seconds on the ground and then extinguish itself. Molotovs are great for clearing big groups of enemies but might be abit overkill due to its heavy damage just for weaker enemies, using it on Captain Winter's Shield team will melt them in a short while. Using your flamethrower and Judge on top of that will take em down with little effort.

Equipment: Trip Mines
Trip mines can be a VERY useful and fun to play around with. For Blaskov, its a perfect love for him. Trip Mines can kill every enemy with just 1 tripmine! Even Bulldozers! If they don't die, then the Bulldozer will be easy pickings to take down due to how much damage he took from just 1 trip mine. But not only does it deal massive amounts of explosive damage, it has a fire effect for 20 seconds. It acts almost exactly like a Molotov Cocktail, but the fire last for 20 seconds after detonation and has bigger range. Anything that stands in the fire range will die, making Trip Mines a true effective defense weapon. But not only that! You also get Shaped Charges, shaped charges are a great asset to use to get into buildings and loot quickly. Use it on tough doors you cant lockpick or use on safes, or pretty much anything that will slow you down by drill. You get 14 Tripmines and 6 shaped charges
Blaskov's Tips and Tricks
"This is highly unprofessional..." -Blaskov

I ran out space for writing Blaskovs tab. Whoops! But anyway, here's the non DLC build and the tips and tricks of Blaskov.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Without DLC
You probably wondering "But Beyond, the BBQ pack seems like its needed to have fun and to be effective for Blaskov to even work!". But don't worry there young Timothy! I have a new solution for you to have fun and to survive as Blaskov!

Primary: Akimbo Goliath 12G Shotguns
You may lack in firepower but you do hold it up with ALOT of shells. 42 shells in total! With your skill "Close By". Acing it will make any shotgun magazines increase their clip size by 15 shells! This will take down any police unit by a couple of shells, but special units will need some more shots to kill

Secondary: MA-17 Flame Thrower
During the making of this guide, Blaskov was already writted, edited and was done . But when Overkill released this new free weapon, this changes Non-DLC Blaskov as a whole, it acts almost exactly like the normal Flame Thrower just with 20% less fuel, but it's free and it's a secondary... THANK YOU ELON MUSK AND OVERKILL! Blaskov now has a light on him at all times! Combine this with the Goliath 12G Shotguns and your gonna have the time of your life!

Throwable: Incendiary Grenade
Incendiary grenades aren't that bad! I discussed them before but I'll just summarize it again. You get 6 of them, they deal 750 afterburn damage and they dont leave any fire on the ground. What I mean by that is, when the Incendiary Grenades blow up, they just light anyone around it on fire but it doesn't actually leave a fire for people to walk over. You can use these for small groups of enemies, using the Incendiary Grenades on Captain Winter's shield squad isnt so bad either, it's less effective then the Molotov, but it will get the job done.

The rest of the game items are all base game items.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Tips and Tricks

1) Blaskov is really good for taking down large groups of enemies very quickly and very easily. The bigger the group and the closer they are together, the more powerful Blaskov will be.

2) Use your tripmines wisely, you do get 14 tripmines but you can go through them VERY quickly if you use em recklessly.

3) "But how do you use tripmines effectively?" you may ask. Use em in areas you think that can prevent player downs, flanks or to save time. For example, use tripmines near drills or power outlet to stop cops from disrupting them to save time, put them on choke points where bulldozer will most likely walk through(Like the front entrance) or in flanks where large groups of enemies will walk through(Stair cases, hallways, elevators, etc)

4) Use your fuel wisely on your flamethrower. Just a quick spray to your enemies will light them up for them to die.

5) Don't always reload your flamethrower. You can burn through it fast but just because you lost 3 points of fuel doesn't mean you have to reload it just to do it again 3 seconds after you reloaded.

6) Know when to use shaped charges, sometimes blowing a safe with shaped charges won't be the smartest idea due to you being able to lockpick it. Instead, blowing up doors that can't be locked picked can be more beneficial. But if you're sure theres no FUTURE doors that will be needing to blow open later, go crazy!

7) Use your shotgun more often! You can deal heavy damage to single units and you can use it to get more ammo/fuel for your Primary!

8) Blaskov isn't exactly a tank, know when to back out of a fight because if you don't, you most likely will go down. So make use of your perk deck with its "2 second invincible to your health when you lose all your armor once every 15 seconds" skill.

9) Take your saw with you if there is any extra loot that you want, or take it with you on jobs that have a shortcut to open for a quicker escape, like the sewer system on Day 2 on Framing Frame or cutting the trees on the Bomb Heist. But if your feeling creative, customize your saw to make it more quiet or more durable so you can open doors and barriers easier!

10) ALWAYS TAKE COVER! Never expose yourself from incoming bullets!

11) One of Blaskov's favorite weapons is the "Arkansas Toothpick". He says "Its a true man's weapon"

12) Blaskovs favorite song is "Flames of Love" By Smokey Bennet and the Hoops.

  • That is all you need to know about Blaskov. The Breacher
Thumper. The Riot Control Medic
"You're not going down without a fight!" -Thumper

Thumper is an all time best medic there is, no form of injuries or trauma won't last long if he is on the field. Even if it means blowing up everyone in sight that tries to harm you or his team
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Role
Thumper's role is to heals injuries for his team and also to control crowds. He's packed with med bags and first aid kits. Yes, he's carrying both. Not only that, he has inspire to revive players and increase movement speed. He loaded with 1-2 fully stocked med bags and 7-14 first aid kits and has all of the revive skills to keep you still kicking. But Thumper used to be a Riot Control Unit, carrying a Piglet 6 round grenade laucher for disposing large groups of enemies quickly in order to keep the peace for your team and to save teammates who's surrounded by enemies. But not only that, he has a Street Sweeper Shotgun for neutralizing lone enemies for a quick and easy take down.

BBQ Pack(Not necessary) and The Gage Shotgun Pack (Not Necessary either but nice to have)
Having these DLC isn't really needed but it would be great if you do have them or one of the other. But I do have a really fun free build that doesnt require DLC. You'll see it below the guide for Thumper. But I will be reviewing the DLC weapons mainly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enforcer
"Enemy bagged!"
Technician
"I'm all stocked up!"
Ghost
"I love people!"
Fugitive
"You're gonna need more then that to keep me down!"
Perk Deck: Gambler
Gambler has to be one of my favorite perk decks, its free and it helps your team out so much. You get health from picking up ammo every 3 seconds. But if you fully maximize the perk deck you can give out 50% more ammo pickup for your team if you pick ammo up first. But not only that, the ammo you get also heals your teammates for half its value, making you heal even more! The healing starts from 32 health per pickup but can go upwards to 51 health per pickup if you maximize the perk deck. Now the only way to get 51 health is to have less health then all three of your teammates. For every teammate that has higher health then you, you'll get a 20% health bonus that stacks up to 3 times. If you pick up 51 health, your team will heal by 25 health. Healing with 32 health will half it by 16, its small health to heal with but it starts to add up. But this perk deck is great for keeping you alive and your team alive by giving a decent amount of health to your team and also some ammo. Its a really great perk deck for any medic or support player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Weapon and Equipment
Primary: Piglet Grenade Launcher (A.k.a "Dolly")
Thumper takes pride in his grenade laucher, he had it since his riot control days. Military issued. The Piglet can take down large groups of enemies in seconds, very useful for clearing hostiles that are surrouned by your down teammate. It has 6 grenade rounds, but don't be too trigger happy with it. Use your shots wisely. Because if you don't, you're gonna be reloading a solid 15 seconds to refill all 6 shots back up. Reload this thing as much as possible WHEN IN SAFETY. Reloading the Piglet can be a death sentenced when reloading mid fight. So reload when in cover. Because you're gonna face heavy consequences if you end up empty at a start of a fight. Oh... You're probably wondering why its called "Dolly". Well... Its named after his dog that kinda looked like a pig... Yeah... True Story

Secondary: Street Sweeper Shotgun
I used to not like this gun because it didnt feel like it did any damage at all. Alot of people said the same. But now, I can truely say this weapon is REALLY good! Not much can be said about it. Its semi automatic, reloads one shell at a time, doesnt do that much damage compared to pump shotguns. But what shines so bright is the speed of it, it can shoot VERY fast! Most non special units go down in 2 headshots, 3 or 4 maybe if you're unlucky with your shots. But the speed of your shots are just too damn good, it also has a VERY high ammo pickup rate too. You'll never run out shells. Like seriously, never. It has 12 rounds which is pretty nice, good touch because it can go through your clip like crazy at times, and don't worry about reloading either, you load this thing up pretty fast and shouldn't be much of a problem. But really, this gun is just so damn good. Maybe I was using it wrong but this gun really suprised me on how great it really was. Try it out for yourself, you won't regret it!

Armor: Combined Tactical Vest
Thumper uses heavy armor to help substain almost any type of damage there is, making him hard to bleed
"Wearing a quarter inch of steel armor plating can really change a man into the better"
-Thumper

Throwable: Concussion Grenade
These grenades are pretty cool and they're also free, they don't deal any damage what-so-ever, but they do stun enemies for about 4 seconds, afterwards they're accuracy goes down by 50% after the stun effects. You get 6 of these grenades and they can be great for crowd control. Theres nothing really much to it. Use em to stun enemies if you don't have any grenade launcher ammo for a backup, or use it with the grenade launcher to cause MAXIMUM CROWD CONTROL! You can never have too much crowd control! But becareful when use it near you or your teammates, it can cause disoriented vision and sound if anyone is in the blast radius

Equipment: Doctor Bags and First Aid Kits
You bring both of them, 2 Med Bags and 14 First Aid Kits. But you can only get one for its full amount, meaning whatever is your secondary equipment will get cut in half.
1 full med bag or 7 First Aid Kits. Its up to you to decide whether to take 2 fully stocked med bags or 14 First Aid Kits, decide what your team need before heading out!
Thumper's Tips and Tricks
"Get to know your tools, and your tools will carry you." -Thumper

I know I did this again, but there's just too much to say about Thumper! So here's his list for his base game items that don't require DLC and some tips about how to play him efficiently.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Without DLC
Primary: Reinfeld 880 Shotgun
Me and the Reinfeld always had a special bond with eachother. I love her and she loves me. The Reinfeld is one of the most balanced and good piece of weaponry there is in the game. It has high damage(kills most units in 1 or 2 headshots), stability, accuracy, magazine size, ammo capacity, lots of modifications and not to bad to look at either. All time good weapon that started in Payday the Heist and still carries it's legacy today

Primary: Predator 12G Shotgun
What's not to like about this gun? Its a Spas-12! It's semi automatic beast that can go through enemies like crazy. It has some nice modifications but not too much. It has more ammo then the Reinfeld(66 shells for the Predator and 42 shells for the Reinfeld) and also has higher concealment, stability, fire rate and total ammo. The only bad thing about this gun is the damage, it may be abit low but it can actually be quite good due to its really fast firerate, you deal half the amount of damage compared to the Reinfeld, but you shoot 3 times as fast... Literally... Play around with the Predator 12G and the Reinfeld, both are great but each has its own style

Secondary: Compact 44mm Grenade Launcher
Im not too sure whats better, this thing being good or this thing being free. It's a really good secondary. It acts like most grenade lauchers. High damage, easy to find ammo and really great for almost any situation. But what makes this even less situational? It's a secondary! So your getting ALOT of firepower for just your secondary without taking away any other firepower for your primary. To be perfectly honest, its a tie to compare this to the piglet. The Compact Grenade Laucher shoots more consistently without reloading as much but shoots less shots in a row. But the Piglet shoots more but has a very dire reload when firing all your shots. So the Piglet can get you more bang for your buck but the Compact Grenade Launcher can make you feel safer without the worrying feeling of reloading, I prefer both but sometimes I just like the compact just for the constant freedom of not reloading and plus the fact I can get a primary shotgun, the chose is up to you!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Tips and Tricks

1) ALWAYS lay down some form of healing aid around, make a healing station by placing a doctor bag with 2 or 3 first aid kits. That will make a really big difference in the game, if you chosed First Aid Kits as your main equipment, place 5 around objectives or scattered em around areas and put the Doctor bag in the area that your team are mainly using

2) Always keep 2 or 3 First Aid Kits with you at all times! You never know when someone is gonna need it delivered to them, or better yet yourself! You take care of yourself first, but only do it for
emergencies. If you go down, then everyone goes down!

3) Reviving teammates with inspire might not always be a good idea when it comes to them being in safety when they down. Inspire has a 20 second cooldown after you use it. So inspiring someone who is in safe grabbing reach might not be such a good idea when someone ELSE goes down in middle of a warzone a couple seconds after and you can't get an easy revive because of it

4) When you're low on health, sometimes using a first aid kit won't be the best option, if you're in a safe area that has some left over ammo packs laying around, collect some ammo to regain your health. Collect one and wait 3 seconds for the cooldown to end and then pick another one up. Keep doing that until you get full health!

5 )Make sure to use your yell to "inspire" players to increase they're speed by a good amount! Alot of people forget to use the basic skills for inspire but they're REALLY good to get teammates out of danger quicker

6) Reload your Piglet often! You never know when you're gonna need to clear out rooms or to save teammates!

7) Always reload your Piglet in safe areas, never do it when you're in enemy fire!

8) Aim down sights with your shotguns to get more ranged enemies! Believe it or not, you can actually kill snipers fairly decently due to your pretty long range, ONLY IF YOU AIM DOWN SIGHTS

9) Always aim for headshots with your shotguns, your guns deal alot of damage if you do, but if you aim for the body... Well you're gonna do some waiting... and possibly some dying...

10) Use concussion grenades to stun groups of enemies if you run out of ammo. Or you can combine your grenade launcher damage with the concussion grenades to clear out EVERYTHING near you!

11) Thumper doesn't like the need to kill his fellow ex-members of the police force because of his time in the Riot Control Field with the N.T.O.A. So Thumper uses really painful non lethal bean bags for his shotguns and really amped up concussion grenade launcher rounds to subdue police units.

  • That is all you need to know about Thumper. The Riot Control Medic
Jest. The Carry
"Where would you guys be without me?" -Jest

Jest is a damage dealing support who gives her team room to breath with her defense and helps bring second chances from mistakes that your team makes

  • DLC Requirement
No DLC what-so-ever! Yup! Nothin', not a single dollar needed to spend!... well the except for the game but.... HEEEEY! No DLC Required! But seriously if you have any DLC with Snipers, that will make Jest ALOT more long lasting, just look at the Thanato, yeah sounds even better now does it?

  • Skills and Perk Deck

Mastermind
"Don't ask how it works, just be glad it works!"
Enforcer
"I'm gonna need all I can get!"
Technician
"Larry, Harry, Terry and Mary, the only perfect 4 we need!"
Ghost
"I used to run triathlons, this is nothing."
Fugitive
"Hit me, and I'll come back twice as hard!"

Perk Deck: Sicario
This is the most sheer perfect perk deck for Jest, nothing can give a greater impact then the Sicario perk deck. What it does, it gives you smoke grenades with some side effects of dodge, the smoke grenades are a great asset for saving and preventing failures from your team. If you fully max out the perk deck, any teammates that are in the smoke will not take any damage due to enemies not knowing where you are in the smoke. So if a teammate goes down in middle of an army of bulldozers with miniguns, throw a smoke grenade on them and revive them. Nothing will kill you unless enemies are in melee range. You can also use em to make an safe escape, deny an area from enemies and to save yourself from enemies, Ill give some more ideas in the tips and tricks part. But not only that, you also have some dodge perks, you'll have an 15% higher chance to dodge, but thats not the best part, you'll get a 20% extra chance to dodge everytime you get shot, but NOT EVEN THAT IS THE BEST PART! Everytime you successfully dodge, you WILL regain all your armor back, making it great for a good long run to whatever. A downed player that is a mile away? Not a problem! Just run and keep dodging because you wont go down because your armor regen! But it resets every 4 seconds, Just a reminder, the smoke grenade respawns every 60 seconds, but can go down by 1 second every kill you get. But everything in this perk deck is a fine perfection of perks for Jest to use and to help!

  • Weapons and Equipment
Primary: Platypus 70 Sniper Rifle(A.k.a. "Donald")
Donald the sniper, why is it called Donald? Donald Duck thats why! Jest doesn't see a difference between a duck and a platypus, don't ask why but she just does, but on to the sniper! This is a pretty damn good sniper! It isn't really weak like some other snipers but it isn't gonna stop a bulldozer in 2 shots like the Thanatos can, but can still take the giant down in around 5 shots or more. But Jest being a good marxman as she is, you can rack up alot of kills with her "Graze" skill. Killing 1 enemy with a headshot will also kill anyone around that enemy. Don't ask how but it works! Getting a headshot will pop anyones head for an instant kill! So Tasers, Cloakers, Snipers, Medics, and of course pesky shields. Remember! You can pierce through their shields! Making Captain Winters easy pickings if you manage to headshot the shield team long enough for all that "Graze" damage. The Platypus is all around good weapon, the only downsides are, it has a small magazine size, slow reload and slow fire rate due to it being a bolt action. But as long as you reload in cover, make every shot count and get headshots to get a 100% faster reload speed(The skill "Aggressive Reload" will do that") You will have no problem using the Platypus at its full potential!

Secondary: Mark 10 Submachine Gun (A.k.a "Joker")
Where would Jester's be without their jokes? The Mark 10 used to be a joke of a weapon, it used lose all its ammo in 8 seconds(That was Including the reload, not even joking). It now remains a good viable weapon for almost any situation. It has VERY high firerate, VERY high magazine size, 160 total ammo, great damage, good stability and accuracy and a major ton of modifications. Plus finding ammo for it is quick and easy. The only downsides is, it can lose its ammo pretty quickly if you are reckless, so don't always spam 30 bullets into someone when it can be done in 5. But it's a great weapon for everyone who needs a good fun gun to do all your misdeeds for your needs.

Armor: Lightweight Ballistic Vest
Jest is fitted with a lightweight vest, but unlike most of these vests, they can be pretty weak, but Jest's is custom made to tank almost twice as much damage as usual ranking in about 91 armor instead of 50

"Speed and mobility can be everything" -Jest

Throwable: Smoke Grenade
You know what this does, but YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE IT EQUIPED!

Melee: Electrical Brass Knuckles
These are great for stunning enemies to run away from, to kill them or to let your sentries kill them, pretty simple but VERY effective!

Equipment: Sentry guns and etc...
Sentry guns can be a very great asset, they deal HEAVY damage, they're great distractions and they help your team have space to move. There's a reason why Jest has a 4 star level for defense, this is why. Sentry guns are VERY useful and don't let anyone think otherwise. Once they go down, all hell breaks loose. You also can bring a second equipment, bring whatever you think is needed like meds
Jest's Tips and Tricks

Well... We're almost done with the 4, so lets finish this list with the final Tips and Tricks for Jest, stay tune for more things you might find interesting through the final tabs for this guide

  • With DLC
Now seeing how there was no DLC needed with Jest, I might as well make a section for further snipers, because there are a good amount of fun snipers and SMG's to use.

Primary: Thanatos 50. Cal
This can be abit overkill but can be pretty fun, the Thanatos is the most powerfuliest bullet based gun in the game. Dealing 3500 damage per bullet, make it a headshot and it can soar into the 10 THOUSANDS DAMAGE range! With that damage you can kill a Bulldozer with 1 bullet if his visor is gone. With the visor it takes 2 or 3 bullets but it's STILL good! The only big downside is its ammo. You only get 15 bullets and trying to find ammo for it from enemies can be hard. If you manage to find 10 ammo boxes, you probably only gonna get around 3 bullets, maybe 4 bullets if luck is on your side. Having hard-to-find ammo can be VERY bad for your turrets, reloading your sentries can sometimes be a task due to it eating up all your sniper bullets. BUT! This is a pretty big but...(lol idk) But you can still manage just as well as the other lighter snipers. You just have to be more brave when scavenging the battlefield for open ammo bags, but with that comes a price of downing and going into custody. With that being said, if that happens, your team will feel defenseless and might even get overpowered by the police force thats at hand. But if you do manage to feed your turrets ammo AND keep the Thanatos loaded, you can be the all-star of the team by not only giving great defense and support but also being crown queen/king of destroying anyone that stands in your way

Primary: Rattlesnake Sniper Rifle
This is the COMPLETE opposite from the Thanatos, but does that mean it's bad? Absolutely not! It does low damage for a sniper(But not the complete lowest) but it does have ALOT of ammo,
alot of ammo pickup and big clip size. It may suffer from killing special enemies like Cloakers, Medics or even the common Taser. But when it comes to normal police units and shields, the damage is perfect for instant kill headshots. Graze on the Rattlesnake can really shine because of its damage and its ammo pickup. Another good thing about the ammo pickup is that it can be VERY friendly to your turrets, finding ammo is quick and easy and you will have a MUCH easier time reloading your sentries compared to the Thanatos and the Platypus. Its other stats like Stability, accuracy and reloading times are really good! Reloading is a breeze and stability and accuracy are great. And to be perfectly honest, its a really satisfying gun to hear it shoot and to look at. But the only "real" downside of the sniper is its damage, but it should be noted that you can kill SO MUCH MORE non special enemies and shields due to its damage then other snipers. And to be perfectly honest again, killing Tasers, Cloakers and Medics isn't that hard, it will only require 2 or 3 headshots in total to kill them. But the Rattlesnake really IS a great weapon

Secondary: Swedish K Submachine gun
The history of this gun is actually quite funny, in real life during the 1930s, someone robbed like 3 banks in 1 day with just this weapon alone, So of course Overkill had to get this legend of a gun in the game, I forgot where I found that story but hey it's a pretty cool story. But I really do LOVE this gun! It's cheap, pretty fun to use and its a really good gun(Well, atleast in my opinion). Its not THAT bad as people might suggest. It a HEAVY damage dealing Sub Machine gun, it takes 3 or 4 headshots to kill a fully armored 960 health police unit and can melt a Bulldozer in seconds. It has a large clip of 40 but you can extend it to 52, making it hard to get caught with your pants down. It may also lack in rate of fire, but it's a blessing, believe me. Ammo is abit of a problem however, you only get a total of 80 bullets. Finding ammo can be small task due, you won't get as much ammo as the Mark 10 but you'll still get around 4-6 bullets per ammo pickup. Being low on ammo isn't a common issue but it can happen. It's like the Thanatos of Submachine guns, but just like the Thanatos, you can still be just as good or if not better then the lighter guns.

Tips and Tricks

1) When you go down, throw a smoke grenade near you, it will provide an easy revive for your team to get you, just make sure to say the "Blue smoke is safe"

2) Samething goes for your teammates, throw a smoke at em, and revive.

3)Throw a smoke grenade at an escape if needed, doing so will make the escape safe to... Well you know... Escape

4)ALWAYS... and when I by mean "always", I mean ALWAYS... Have your turrets up at all times DURING a choke hold! This will provide space for your team to move, for example on "Go Bank", instead of hiding behind the low walls in front of the vault for a full 30 minutes, placing your turrets will make you and your team have space to actually move and not get completely obliterated by bullets the second you leave those low walls.

5) Make sure you check and help your turrets, picking them up again will fully repair em and refill their ammo. Having a destroyed turret will be bad and also very sad because who wants to see your baby turrets die? Of course the bad guys do but they're bad guys.

6) Bulldozers will DESTROY your turrets if they get close! This is especially with the Green pump shotgun Bulldozers, because they're tanky enough to obsorb damage and they can instantly destroy your turrets. SO make sure to back up your turrets by picking them up when they're taking too much heat and running away with them to safety. Dont be afraid to do this in front of the Bulldozer!

7) You might be asking yourself which turret you should have, the silenced one or the non-silenced one. I prefer the loud non silenced one, to me they last just as long and they're more beneficial to lay off heat for your teammates. Silenced Turrets I guess "live longer" but your team won't. So loud turrets is my go to but its up to you.

8) Don't forget to equip a secondary equipment!

9) Which equipment is up to you, if you want to bring ammo for your turrets, bring some ammo. If you want to get some healing done, get a med bag or some First-Aid-Kits. Another great option is 2 other turrets, now of course you will need to juggle half as much turrets then you usually do but you can cover ALOT more ground!

10) Always aim for headshots with your snipers, Graze will do wonders and can be a amazing for clearing out areas.

11) When you lose armor, run! If you can dodge a bullet you can dodge death! Which means you'll regain all your armor in a realistic saying.

12) Jest is VERY quick! Losing her armor will make her even quicker!

13)She's the quickest one out of the 4.

14) Jest is a kid at heart, loving what every millennial loves today

"About time!" -Jest
An open letter to my viewer
I'm finally done, after exactly 2 months of work of testing, writing, editing and fun. I'm finally done with this guide. I thank those who read this guide, thank you for taking your time to reading this guide. I worked countless hours trying to prefect this guide to its entirety, the reason why I made this guide is to make builds no one has ever seen before, something that will work on harder differculties and most importantly, have fun playing them. I never played Deathwish before, I always played Overkill and maybe Mayhem. But I challenged myself to not only play Deathwish and survive, but to also do so with the weirdiest weapons, perkdecks, skills and even characters. And guess what? It worked, 4 times! But it was really fun making this guide for those who want a different type of play style, the style that says "Hey! Lets see what everyone says is viable, and turn it completely sideways!" Seriously, who uses Flamethrowers and Mark 10's to a Deathwish game? Well... I do, and I rather do that then play a dodge pistol build, because that doesn't sound fun for me. But what does sound fun to me is a 75% detection dodge build that uses smoke grenades, turrets and a sniper to help support her team. That to me sounds like a recipe for success.

But not only did I want to spice things up with Payday 2 and how I played, I told myself "I could make a guide out of this" Then I thought again "That sounds like a great idea!" I once made a guide for Don't Starve. All time favorite survival game I love so much. It was called "Woodie Guide: Everything you will need to know about being a Lumberjack" I was very surprised to see the guide do so well. I think it remained on the top best recent guides for... I think probably a whole month. That was my very first guide, I was so proud for myself, people seemed to like it. Even changed some people's thoughts about Woodie, even if most people thought he was absolete. I got exactly 2,157 unique views on it. To that point on I realised that writing just became so much more fun, rewarding and more proudful. I used to make youtube videos. I would work on them so much that I would strain my eyes, but in return I would barely get any views, I actually used to make OLD Payday 2 videos like "Top 10 Best Skills for the Enforcer" and such. Actually I did a top 10 on Mastermind too, geez they were kinda boring in some segments but it was fun. Those were the days when Payday 2 didn't have the cool skill tree system it has today. Writing was so much more easier, cheaper, funner, stressless and more REWARDING! I almost got more views in 1 month for writing a guide then I ever did in 3 years of making Youtube videos!

This guide was originally supposed to be done yesterday, but I felt like my last words for this letter was something I wasn't exactly happy with due to me thinking I'm rushing this last part, and to be honest I kinda wanted to be with this guide for one more day before I let her loose. I really did have fun making this guide, to me I wanted to do something different from most guides. I wanted to do this my style, everyone has a style of things that everyone does. That applies to work, school or even your past times like movies and games, I even started play League of Legends, never played a MOBA but it was worth every minute of my time. I'm getting off track but I guess that what this segments supposed to be. My biggest goal is to make people be entertained, something to remember, something to enjoy and to love. Thats why I made the builds have some type of personality in each and everyone of them. Wilhem being a the perfect soldier, to Blaskov just being a reckless but funny pyromaniac demoman to Thumper being a very loud and serious badass and finally Jest, who would represent most of us if we would be heisters. Just a chill and somewhat funny early adult. That was my spin on this. That's what made this so fun. I think I can safely say I'm happy with this letter, but I hoped you enjoyed this guide, and I hope you have a fantastic day!

P.S. I didn't know how to originally make this guide, from the names, to the builds and to whether or not to make 4 seperate guides for each build. But I'm really happy the way I made this guide. Too me its perfect! Thumper used to have explosive shotgun rounds with a AA12, and then duel SMG's and then finally a grenade launcher. Jest was a hard character to make but it was a build that I never seen anyone use before, especially with the use of smoke grenades. She also used to use only 2 sentries and was a crit build, but the turrets were too weak and wouldn't provided support for her team. So I sacrificed crits for turrets, trust me it is ALOT better this way. Plus, Jest's crit build would ruin basically every sniper except the Desert Fox, so that why I made her from a heavy DLC build to an easy non DLC build. But it did took awhile, but I rather make something great that took a long time and I love then make something bad that wasn't given my full effort. Albert Einstein once said "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer." Do that and everything that you're working on will have a high chance of becoming a masterpiece! But this is the end of this guide, I don't know what guide I'll make next, maybe it might be a completely different game, I kinda liked the spreaded out guides I do for different games, that to me sounds like a great idea, maybe you might see me in one of your favorites games. Thank you so much for watching reading this far, don't be afraid to tell me what you think of the guide, you can even tell me which character is your favorite in the comments, I would love every minute of it! But I'll see you people next time. Oh... And my favorite character is Blaskov, byyyyyyeeee! -Beyond

@Milik I love this game but my creativity can only last for so long with the same skill tree. I tried exploring new ideas, I loved the idea of a Psychopath character that used Saws, shotguns and Melee attack but it was boring to play. Maybe it wouldn't be for other heisters but it just felt like spamming the button E was boring and the saw was a horrible weapon to kill anything, unless it was used in VR due to the fact you hold a melee weapon and use the saw at the same time, but than again not everyone will have a VR headset

But seeing how Payday 3 is coming out. Weird saying Payday 3 hahaha! But just like any game that has skills, perks and weapon loadouts. I'll definitely be tinkering with many builds when the game comes out. It will be a nice breath of fresh air seeing all the newness it brings!

Thanks for sticking around too! I love every comment so its wonderful to see people come back. Hope the best for you Milik!

@Milik, Welcome back and thanks for commenting again! I did have a couple of builds I was gonna do but never finished them due to life. But I do have alot of custom weapons I sometimes think about posting, some of them are pretty cool guns. They would have lore behind them, with custom names. One of which was a new SMG for Jest that was custom made by Bishop. Some special prototypes that may or may not be great but really fun to use too. One of my favorite was called the "Jackhammer prototype" It was the Steakout 12G(AA12) with explosive rounds that looked battle scarred, just a constant stream of force like a jackhammer, Although not too powerful but fun, I could do that if I got time.
Milik Jun 20, 2023 @ 3:39pm
hey buddy, hope you're ok :) any new characters for celebrate PAYDAY 3 announcement ? :p

@Milik And no need to owe me anything! You enjoying it and commenting about it is all I need. It's beautiful when people do that :VBCOOL:
NotEvenBeyond  [author] May 31, 2022 @ 12:46pm
@Milik Thank you for the wonderful words! It's heartwarming to see people like you that like my builds and my writing. You're not selfish either! I love comments! Yours make my days better. Especially when sharing it with others you know(like your cousins!) You're comment sparked an interest in me looking back at Bishop's builds and got me thinking new fun ways of making him. I'm not sure if I'll complete it but I actually like Bishop's builds and I think it would be fun for me to atleast explore more into creating him. Especially with the cool new weapons they got now.
Milik May 31, 2022 @ 11:39am
thanks a lot for your answer ! It was totally a selfish wish from myself haha but really i think the idea to personnify the build make them like you really play a "class" like in rpg. I wish you the best in your personnal life ! If you ever need help you can send me message.
I personnaly wait for a payday 3 even if i like the fact that they still produce new heist and weapons since 2013 ! Bishop sound so nice since i read you first comment about him !
I will Stay on the news if you ever write a new one but don't feel oblige ! I hope one day i can give you back in a way the fun you give me and my young cousins playing those build.
Que tienes una vida chida wey lo mereces !
NotEvenBeyond  [author] May 31, 2022 @ 11:07am
@Milik The reason why I didn't make it was because I just haven't been motivated. I've been a hermit ever since the pandemic and I really want to leave my room. With these past 2 years Ive been growing and maturing so I now have some motivation to do more stuff. Alot more than I ever did. I even made a new guide on Project Zomboid. I will admit that I still find the Perfect 4 to be my best and favorite guide. But that Project Zomboid guide helped me realize I can still write

I might make Bishop sometime, his build and guns are all there. I finished him but I just have to write it. The one thing that stopped me from making more guides is that I wish Overkill would add new skills. Perk decks are good but Ive been staring at the same 5 skill trees for years now so cooking with the same ingredients can be boring. But I think Bishop is quite fresh which is a redeeming quality of it. And with the new addition to outfits and weapons colors, it gives me more creative freedom
NotEvenBeyond  [author] May 31, 2022 @ 11:06am
@Milik I do have a build that I did finish but never got to writing all of it. The build was called "Bishop: The Inventor of Modern War". He is a genius arms dealer of the black market, he was like the Pablo Escobar of guns.

He had 3 different builds, one was with both Turrets and C4 for maximum defense, the second being an exo suit type build that made him tanky, fast and strong with melee. And the third I forgot. Its in one of my skill sets. The biggest thing he had going for him was all the special modded weapons that I took alot of time making. They all had to look cool and powerful. Theres alot of cool guns I made for him, like a powerful futuristic Judge that acted like a revolver. A beautiful Spec Ops Car 4, and even a new SMG for Jest that acted like an easter egg
Milik May 31, 2022 @ 10:29am
Hi ! i'm deseperately in need of new build haha ! I still play them and have fun with them and i can't find this amount of fun with every other build on internet, they feel tasteless...
So if you still play Payday 2 and have the envy too , i would love to see new builds from you as fun and personnaliza as "meta" ! I know it's a lot work and time so i would even be ready to support you as much as i can !
NotEvenBeyond  [author] Apr 3, 2021 @ 7:53pm
@GalacticWooWoo Thank you! Jest is out of doubt my proudest build I made to this guide and maybe even all of my builds Ive made. Its nice to see people still use my builds still today :D
