Autorstwa: Yingus
This guide will tell you know to host Terraria without using Hamachi step by step!
With Images included to help you along the way, just need to scroll down~!
The sentences with asterisk (*) are additional information that go with the steps. They are there if you get stuck on a step, so make sure you read them as well.

Find out your I.P Address & Default Gateway.
*If you know your I.P Address & Default Gateway, go to Step 5.
1. Go to 'Start'.
2. Type in the search bar 'cmd' and open it.
3. Type in 'ipconfig'

*If typing 'ipconfig' doesn't work in your 'cmd', you might have to, when you search 'cmd', right click and choose 'Run as administrator'
*Make sure that you are looking under your 'Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection'.

*If you have been using Hamachi before hand, you may be looking at 'Ethernet adapter Hamachi' & not at 'Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection', So make sure you are looking at the right one.

4. The I.P Address & Default Gateway that you would be using will be under 'IPv4 Address' & 'Default Gateway'.
*If 'IPv4 Address' is not shown in the Command Prompt (cmd), you will have to open the Command Prompt in Admin Command Prompt;(Search cmd, right click it and select run as administrator).
Type ipconfig /all >ip.txt
This will ave the output to a text file name 'ip.txt' and you can use Notepad to view it.
*Image 1 is for Steps 1 - 4.

5. Once you have found out your I.P Address (IPv4 Address) & Default Gateway, open up a web browser & type in your Default Gateway into the browser.
6. A pop-up will appear, asking for your Username & Password.
7. In 'User Name' type in 'admin' & in 'Password' type in 'password' & click 'Ok'. If the password, 'password' is incorrect, it may be one of the other options below.
*The Username by default should be 'admin' and the password can either be: 'admin' OR 'admin123' OR no password at all.
*If it the Username or Password are still incorrect, go to 'http://www.routerpasswords.com/', select your router type; once you have selected your router type, there will be a list of their models, with their default username and password, try inputting thoses. If your router is not on the list, try to Google '(Router Type; e.g Linksys) router default password'. You might be able to find out your Default Username and Password online, if you no longer have your Router Manual.
*If it still doesn't work, you would have to perform a 'hard reset'. Before you perform a 'hard reset', make sure you have your router manual, so you will know how to set up your router once again. Most routers will have a small pinhole button on the back or bottom of the router, pressing this button in and holding on this button for 10-15 seconds will hard reset the router. After this has been done setup the router again and enter a username and password that you can write down.
*If this still doesn't work, then your on our own, I'm out of ideas...you can call up the number on your router manual and ask about the default username and password, or visit the store you brought your router and ask them about it, or your router manual MIGHT even have the default username and password inside, even YouTube the problem, other than that, I have no clue. Sorry that I couldn't help with this issue, since different routers have different Default Usernames and Passwords :(
*Image 2 is for Steps 5 - 7.

8. Once the website has loaded (Netgear), under 'Advanced' on the left, click on the 'Firewall' link, it should be on the left.
*If you already see a 'Port Forwarding' link on the left side, under 'Advanced', you won't need to click 'Firewall', since they will both take you to the same page.
9. Under 'Port Forwarding' there will be a 'Choose Predefinded Service', pick '-SERVICES-'.
* There will be a table where you will input your information.
10. Under 'Add Custom Rules', Put in the name, so you know what the server is for; e.g. Terraria.
11. For 'Start Port' put in '7777'.
12. For 'End Port' put in '7777'.
13. For 'Protocol' put in 'Both', (TCP & UDP).
14. For 'Local IP Address' put in your I.P Address (under IPv4 Address in the command prompt (cmd) that you opened).
15. Click the 'Add' button & and you should now have a table with all the information that you added, under 'Port Forwarding.
*Image 3 & Image 4 is for Steps 8 - 15.
*Image 4 is what you should have when you have completed Steps 8 - 15.

16. Go to your Steam program & Open Terraria.
17. Select your character and desired world.

18. Google 'what is my ip?', and the Public I.P Address shown will be the I.P Address you will tell your friends about. If it doesn't show on Google, go to 'www.whatismyip.com/' to find out your Public I.P Address.
*Image 5 is for Step 18.

19. You are FINISH!
* Tell your friends your Public I.P Address (that you found out from google), Port & Password and they will be able to connect to your server without using Hamachi!

*If you are playing with other people who are using your LAN; e.g family/room mates, the I.P Address you need to give them will be your IPv4 Address in the command prompt (cmd), since your public I.P Address and their public I.P Address will be the same, because you are using the same internet connection/network (using the same router).

*Also if you have formatted recently, you will have to re-do the port forwarding because your IPv4 Address and your public I.P Address would have changed.
*Over time your IPv4 Address may change, so you will need to re-do your port forwarding again as well.

*Check your firewall. Does it only let Terraria work on private connections? If so, you must let it run on public or it will not work, even on LAN.

*I made some screenshots for this guide, I hope it helps.

*This is also my first time publishing a guide on Steam, so not sure if I am doing it right....

This guide is pretty much outdated guys, why are there people still reading this? Terraria has since put it's own hosting abilities, so this guide is no longer useful, so unless you got like a cracked version, I have no idea. I no longer use this method since Terraria has an in-built hosting service that you guys can use when you simple open the game, there is an option right there. Buy the game legit guys, it's 100% worth the money and it makes life so much easier instead of having to do all this stuff above. I frankly don't even know if this works anymore since I have not used this methods in yearsssssssssssssssssssss. Buy the game legit and all your problems are solved.

This guide is only for Ethernet Adapters. Wireless Adapters have a similar way of working, but truth to be told, I have no idea how it differs from the Ethernet without a direct line of connection to the internet.

Is it "Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection" or "Ethernet adapter Ethernet"?
