The complete guide to playing Limbo

Learn how to effectively use your abilities, what weapons to use, and how to build him.

So you have Limbo, Now what?

Limo is a frame who mainly impedes other players for little to no gain, while being sub-par at things other frames can do infinitely better. I highly reccomend just using him as mastery fodder and being done with him, but just to be safe, let's go over why you should do that.

Banish

Banish lets you push groups of enemies into the no fun allowed zone that is the rift.
Rifted enemies are unable to hurt anyone outside the rift, but anyone outside the rift has to use abilities to damage them. All in all this is a huge waste of time, because why would you waste the time to try and use this form of innefective CC on small clusters when you could just shoot an arca plasmor down a hallway and be done with it?

Haven is an augment mod for banish that heals banished players for 25% of their max health, but why would you bother with that when you could just play a healer?

Stasis

If you ever use stasis in a match with me I will find where you live, go to your house and hang you from a tree by your balls.
Stasis is how limbo avoids dying in 3 hits in the rift. It stops time, freezing rifted enemies in place.



Oh yeah, projectiles too, so say goodbye to your guns in there.
You can argue that it makes things easier to hit, as they stop moving entirely, but Harrow, Frost, Banshee, Atlas, Rhino, Inaros, Volt, Gara, and Ivara can all do that without breaking your guns.

Rift Surge

Rift surge lets you pull more enemies into the rift without leaving it. That is all.




And I guess theres an augment mod for increased damage or something but just play mirage.

Cataclysm

Limbo claps his hands and spawns a bubble that forces anything inside of it into the rift.
Usually into stasis.
Where your guns are broken.
And time is stopped.


You can use it to defend the point, but Frost's snowglobe can do the same thing while not being a trainwreck.

You can use it as mass CC, but banshee can do the same thing and actually get a kill.

You can use it to do damage in a large area, but why are you not playing saryn?

Cataclysmic Continuum makes the bubble's duration increase by 1 second each time something dies in it, but why would you want something bad to last even longer?

How to build him

Sit in the rift blocking.

Don't banish, stasis, or cataclysm.

Just sit.

old guide, his stasis was nerfed. it now only freezes ENEMIES and their projectiles. also, the duration was halved. so now he's even worse than before and the only good use is to use Rift Haven to keep allies alive.
