In this short guide I will show you in detail how to get 'Antipodean Ace Medal' that is a part of an achievement called 'War Hero'.

Antipodean Ace Medal

To complete an achievement 'War Hero' you need to earn all medals in a game. The most tricky is 'Antipodean Ace Medal' where you have to destroy 1 enemy plane in inverted flight. This task appears in Act I in a mission 'Duck Hunt' and in Act II in a mission called 'Island in the Mist'. The tips are for the players playing on mouse/keyboard. I hope it will help.

Act I - Duck Hunt:

• Play mission on low difficult
  
• Set flying mode on the easiest and at the start of the mission choose and aim the most damaged German bomber on the left
  
• Set your plane straight behind the bomber and slow down
  
• Change flying mode option to simulation that will allow you to fly upside down
  
• Try to gently overturn the plane, keep the front in line just not to wiggle too much and come as close as you can
  
• Open fire and beware that the plane will automatically try to get back to previous position
  
• End the mission

Act II - Island in the Mist:

Tip 1:

• Play mission on low difficult
  
• Set flying mode on the easiest and play until you get the checkpoint
  
• After the checkpoint you will have a lot of Japan planes trying to shoot down American bombers, choose and aim at the plane in front of you
  
• Drop his hp as much as you can
  
• Slow down
  
• Change to simulation mode in menu options
  
• Turn over the plane and shoot when you almost ram the enemy
  
• End the mission

Tip 2:

• At the start of the mission on easy mode lock your aim on the planes on the airport (first or the second one) that are trying to take off
  
• Slow down
  
• Set flying mode to simulation and while flipping over shoot rockets on them
  
• Keep upside down all the time until rockets destory the planes
  
• End the mission

Tip 3:

• On easy flying mode fly above the airport over the clouds
  
• Slowly swoop down
  
• Choose and aim at the plane on the airport
  
• Do all the previous steps with turning over the plane
  
• Fire rockets
  
• End the mission

@faybinning I don't have any solution for playing with a flight stick. This guide can help only for keyboard/mouse players. Maybe switch to keyboard just for the achievement.
